  • HAVING ENCOUNTERS WITH ANGELS

    HAVING ENCOUNTERS WITH ANGELS

Don’t let any man bully you into thinking that without a #heavenly vision or a celestial visitation, your christian life is not complete.

If your assignment requires you having such visit, you won’t even pray for it.

From the days of Cornelius, most people who had such visit weren’t even a believer before having their first “encounter”. They needed those encounters because they were NATURAL men who lack the word of God.

A young man once called me and said that he wanted one of such encounters. I simply told him that he was born into the church, he grew in the church, he lives in the “word environment”. His encounter will come from Communion with the Holy Spirit and the Scriptures.

Such angelic visits is meant for two things among others: if a man is a natural man. That is, he his not in the faith and God needed to attract his attention like the burning bush, He would visit them supernaturally. They don’t have to believe in God to even have this.

Secondly, if a man assignment requires it and in the wisdom of God, He feels you need it. I read of a great healing evangelist in the similitude of John G. Lake whose encounter came from Acts 10:38.

Kenneth Copeland told of a man who fasted his lungs out to see Jesus appear to him. Copeland said that the things he said Jesus told him, if he sit with 1 Corinthians chapter 1, he would get even more.

See, the biggest encounter is with the word. And you don’t need an angelic visitation or that of patriarchs of faith to validate your calling or the extent at which God would use you in the ministry.

  • IF YOU DESIRE GREATNESS, YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS (PLATFORM)

IF YOU DESIRE GREATNESS, YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS (PLATFORM)

    They have #PLATFORMS
The moment you hear of a successful person especially someone of the same line of a career as yours, your mind quickly goes to work searching for the reason why he is succeeding and you are not.

It is not uncommon to hear words like: he’s from a rich background, he is only leveraging on the influence of his parents, his church has a ready platform for him, he is a white man, he lives in Lagos, it’s because he is short and so on.

I remembered the time I was discussing with people about the pressing of God upon my heart to go full time in the ministry. A man literally told me that if it was someone like his own son, he would have agreed to it but for someone like me, it is a wrong decision. What was his reason? He said, his own son for instance has a parent that can fund him at the initial stage but someone like me doesn’t have such a background to rely upon. Please, don’t fault him. That is how a lot of people think and we are making a big mistake.

That someone has some background or whatever to leverage upon is not the reason for his success. There are many people with the same opportunity who are nowhere near it. And there are many more a lot of people without those opportunities and they are making waves.

Let me even agree with you for a second that the platform some have is the reason for their success but you must also agree with me that the lack of it, is not a determinant for your future. So, stop thinking that way.

Don’t accept that statement into your heart again. It kills the striving spirit in you. You may not know it. But it’s simply giving you an excuse for being at the point you are thereby failing to see what God can do through you and what you can do with God.

If you say the Bamiloyes have a ready-made platform, what would you say about Baba and Mama? Yet they made it. If you cannot be “the Bamiloye Junior” then you should be the “Baba or Mama Bamiloye” for your children.

Besides, everyone has a platform. Everyone has a unique opportunity. You may fail to see yours but you do. The fish cannot fly but it can swim. The bird cannot run but it glides through the winds. The Elephant has no claws but it has muscles. The Lion is not a giant but it is a skilful hunter. The soldier ants have no bones but they have unity. The ants are very tiny but they are organized.

My conclusion from the onset of my ministry is that I have no platform or charisma or the character to lobby but I have God and I have me- that’s enough.

Decide to be a creator of the platform you lack.

  • Pastor’s Diary: Dispensing Value

    Pastor’s Diary: Dispensing Value

I met with one of my Discipler on campus some weeks ago, when we he first saw me what He said was that since many years we see last, I didn’t increase or decrease in height and width and I was laughing. And I started to be looking at my stature and campus memories begins to be coming back to me.

When I had the opportunity to be the Central Christian Body President and we were to be welcoming the freshers to campus and be helping them with their registration, you’ll see some freshers just reacting to you as if you’re their younger brother and saying “Sir” (giving accolade) to my subordinates that are having big stature than I do.

I even caught one to my fellowship and when he got to the Wednesday prayer meeting, he was trying to prove spirituality by telling us some “spiritual vision” of which when I checked in the Spirit, I saw that it was given so that we can know that he is spiritual. Some will even be greeting me and be telling me “How far” and I’ll exchange with I’m fine sir😂

But as time goes on, some of them knew that I was the president at the break time fellowship on campus, Just a ministration I took wiped off what my stature had painted in their mentality and defines whom I am to them. After that ministration, they started to be bending their posture before greeting me, and before leaving campus ALL of them started to be calling me their Dad and I mentored so many of them to the point that they started bringing up children as well.

Not on campus alone, I’ve been to so many places to minister that, at the introduction that I’ll be the one that will minister, it will be obvious in so many people’s faces that they are disappointed, I was even at a place that immediately I got there the ushers have welcomed me like a member before the man of God that invited me to minister came around but after my ministration in those places, what I do receive I exchange of how I was initially treated is Honor. Why Honor? Because of the value, I dispense while ministering.

Dear Pastor, Don’t take any opportunity to stand on the pulpit for granted, Don’t be discouraged by the numbers of people you want to minister to, but think about value, think about what you can add to the lives of your audience, think about the souls of men. Dispense value because the value will command honor.

  • BLIND MENTORSHIP

    BLIND MENTORSHIP

You all know that story of three blind men taken to the Zoo to touch an Elephant. When each was asked to describe what an elephant looks like, they all said three different things based on their experiences.

The first one had touched the trunk of the Elephant and so, said an Elephant is like a long rope. Another had touched the skin and said an Elephant is like a wall. The last one touched the tail and so, he said an Elephant is short and full of hairs.

Your mentor is like a dice 🎲, they have up to six dimensions. Until you have observed and understudy them from all sides, you can’t really say what they look like or what they are. You can observe a man of God and conclude that he’s a prosperity preacher. Yes, he could be a prosperity preacher but have you studied him enough to hear him preach about prayer? I bet you, the day you hear him preach prayer, you would think that he’s a prayer & deliverance minister.

That’s why some of you have come into shock and surprises hearing your mentor speak about concepts you never imagined they have an idea on.

Learning and observing from all sides is what makes a mentee a mentee and not looking from one angle only or listening to just a message or reading few books else you may not learn all what God has prepared for you to learn. That explains the reason people jump from one mentor to the other without really learning from any. They switch mentors as if they are changing clothes.

And that’s one reason I try to read ALL THE BOOKS or most of the books of my mentors. I go as far as reading about them on Wikipedia where available. I really want to KNOW because that is how mantle falls and not by seeing someone in the dream.

  • IDENTIFYING SPIRITUAL FATHER 2

    IDENTIFYING SPIRITUAL FATHER 2

Some of you read part one where I emphasized accessibility as a factor in choosing a spiritual father and you said you were blessed. All the glory to God.

In this second part, I want to talk about young men and ladies who get annoyed when an elder to them refer to them as “my son” or “my daughter”.

We were having devotion in the house yesterday with some of my children and leaders in the ministry when they told me how people try to adopt them overnight and put a stamp of ” my son”, “my daughter” on them.

The question is, what should you do when a person you didn’t consider a father call you a son. It is simple, SMILE and say, yes sir.

The person or pastor could call you that based on various factors. Culturally, it is acceptable. Every child is a son or daughter to every elder. The person could be your church pastor or in a position where you are under his ministry directly or indirectly. The person could be anybody and could say it for any reason including trying to claim what is not his. The truth is, no one will call a mad man or a rebellious child in the ministry or street “my son”, or ” my daughter”. You were so-called because you’re a good child.

When you become great in life, someone who has never seen you in life and whom you never knew will call you “my son”. It is a sign that you’re doing well. Those whom you didn’t even know their surname will call you “my bosom friend” and those who claim to have received you in the dream will call you “my father.”

Don’t stress yourself, don’t feel offended, don’t be angry. When a man calls you my child, say- “yes sir”. If you don’t see him as your father or as a father figure, don’t do the mistake of replying with “yes dad” or “yes father”. Some people go about calling everyone “my father” and when those call them “my child”, they come to tell us that they are displeased.

I just told you not to act rebelliously to any elder. Don’t tell them they aren’t your father. Don’t rub it on their faces. But in cases, where the person is acting entitled or possessive towards you, simply withdraw. Talk to them less, see them less, escape their presence and be fine. Don’t get into friction with them.

Meanwhile, our youths need to be taught to appreciate those they came across in their spiritual path and journey in life. Your spiritual journey started with your parent, the pastors that christened you, your Sunday school teachers, your church pastors, your youth leaders and more.

Your church leaders especially pastors are very important in your life. Your church is probably the first place you had the chance to stand on the altar to talk to people. That makes them your launchers.

In short, all the people we meet either you learn “new” revelation from them or you later realise many faults and shallowness in their understanding, they remain your God sent angels because IF THEY WERE NOT THERE YOU WON’T BE HERE. Don’t disrespect them. Don’t deny them to right to call you son or daughter. It is their right. Don’t feel offended when they do. You may not be attached to them as far as the father-son relationship is concerned but don’t act arrogantly towards them. Will you be offended if Bishop Oyedepo call you “my son” even though you don’t have such a relationship with him? Will you be angry if some stranger calls you my father? Then, why are you angry that someone who taught you in the children church calls you “my son”?

There are some I call daddy and mummy not because they are my “spiritual” father but they are father figures to me in many ways. I am happy when they call me son as well. I have learnt a lot from them and there are more to gain. But if you’re not comfortable calling someone daddy or mummy for whatever reason, don’t bother. Just respect them.

And for the strangers who lay claim on your life, don’t argue, don’t fight, take it as a compliment and move on.

    Are you blessed?

  • Post NYSC Phobia 3

    Post NYSC Phobia 3

    Corper Weeeeeee😀

Welcome to the concluding part of this series. I talked about service as a means of creating the needed job in the previous session. If you missed the first 2 sessions, you can have them back via these links:

    Part 1:https://healingnexusblog.com/post-nysc-phobia-part-1/

    Part2: https://healingnexusblog.com/post-nysc-phobia-part-2/

In the previous session, I promised to teach on how to create the work we need through the instrumentality of Faith.

    FAITH

    Let me start by explaining to us that Faith is an action word(verb), not a noun. There are different kinds of Faith;

    👉Saving faith Ephesians 2:8
    👉Gift of Faith 1Corinthians 12:9
    👉Fruit of Faith Galatians 5:22
    👉Living Faith Romans1:17
👉 God kind of Faith Mark 11:22.

LIVING FAITH vs GOD KIND OF FAITH

Out of the kinds of Faith that we have, we shall be considering living faith and the God’s kind of Faith, because we live, and have our being, through the Living Faith

    *Romans 1:17*
_”For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the Just shall live by faith.”_

This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This has been accomplished right from the beginning to the end, by faith. As the Scriptures say, “Romans 1:
[17]For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

    Mark 11:22
“Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God.”

The book of Romans tells us that we live by Faith, and the book of also Mark tells us that we should have God kind of Faith. Then we should ask ourselves what kind of Faith is God’s kind of Faith?
    👉 It’s a SPEAKING Faith

    Hebrews 11:3
“Through faith we understand that the words were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

We can deduce from here, that the whole universe was created by God through the words He said. As He’s saying it, they were coming to manifestation. So therefore, to use faith to create the needed Job after your service too, you need to be ‘SPEAKING FORTH’ whatever you want to see in Faith. How then do we achieve this?:

    1. You keep declaring thus: ‘It’s not possible for me to be jobless after my service year because I am a servant of God even while serving.

    2. When you’re about to pass out of your service, you act in faith by applying for job opportunities online and you keep confessing, declaring and annoucing that you’ve been employed, because the word of God says you shall spend your days in Prosperity (Job 36:11).

    3. Acting in faith still means that you acquire a skill and start a business of your own, trust me, you’ll enjoy God’s blessings in it. And you can be as rich as you desire/imagine, If you meet up with the first point I mentioned in session 2, and you are diligent, hardworking and a thinker in whatever you do.

    4. Acting in faith is still withdrawing from applying for job whenever God says so. Let me share my experience with you here.

I shared in the previous session of how I got an appointment immediately after my service year. But it’ll interest you to know that I spent only 3 months at the work place because I resigned.
    Why???
    God says so.
He said I should resign into ministry. Peradventure you are reading this, and God is calling you into ministry as well, please do not be afraid. Do not bother about where your food will come from. In fact, rejoice that you have been (also) employed into the company of God, and the wealth of every worker is always measured by the track record the owner had made over time. If you are working in Chevron, you automatically know that you’ll be paid in :6 digits’ because of how wealthy the owners of the company are. So, do not compare yourself with the wealth of God being the CEO of the company you’re working in. Then you’d realize that God is having a much better offer for you. You don’t need worry about the expected way, what He promised you is the expected end, and friend, may I tell you this for free?

After subscribing to what God says, the blessings that came to me just within 2 months of my resignation from the company I was working with, was 4 folds of what I was earning in the company as well.
So.. Trust God to take care of you if He’s giving you the appointment to work with Him in ministry.

  • Let’s talk aboutCRYPTOCURRENCY Part 2

    Let’s talk aboutCRYPTOCURRENCY Part 2

In part one, I explained how crypto works. I talked about why it may go up and why it may come down as it is currently. I explained that if it will blossom, there are three ways to do it. The first is Government Policy. I explained that if countries approve it as a legal tender, it will become gold for the holders. But so far, more countries are banning it, some zoned it under some financial regulations but none have adopted it fully except for El-Salvador. In the first part, I also mentioned the reason why governments are reluctant to adopt it and the unlikely prospect. You can read it up here-
    https://healingnexusblog.com/lets-talk-about-cyptocurrency/

In this second part, let’s talk about how big-wig private investors can influence the status of crypto which is the second option crypto has to survive and be sustained according to my analysis.

Early this year, crypto was on the rise, why? Elon Musk, the 2nd richest man in the world and CEO of Tesla company said his company would accept crypto for the purchase of electric cars. That news alone gave crypto a boost. Other smaller companies, as expected, started investing in it. A few months later, Elon said they would no longer accept crypto and those who have used it to book for electric cars will have their order cancelled. With that news, crypto fell and it’s yet to be back on its feet.

The value of any currency is in its purchasing power. If crypto can be used to buy things in the mainstream market, its value would be on the rise and it is only private companies owners that can drive this since governments are not adopting it for use.

But why are investors reluctant about it? I believe a part of them is concerned about governments but Elon Musk said it was because of the power consumption involved in mining crypto and the e-waste it generates. As an environmentalist who wants to reverse climate change, he felt he has a moral obligation to back out from the promotion of crypto. That leads us to the question, what does the mining of crypto mean?

Mining as we know is the process of extracting natural resources such as gold, coal and the rest from the earth. In the case of crypto, miners are those who process the buying and selling- transaction of crypto through complex computations. They are spread all across the nations of the earth and they are paid in crypto. But how does mining consume power? How does it affect the climate?

Investopedia reported that bitcoin alone uses 121-Terrawatt hours of electricity in a year more than what Argentina as a whole uses in a year. Digiconomist also said that Ethereum consumes as much power as used by the whole nation of Qatar in a year. The power they consume is not the problem but the source. Researchers at the University of Cambridge reported that 65% of miners are based in China, a country that generates most of its power through the burning of coal and fossil fuels. This, of course, has a serious implication on the climate. Bitcoin alone generates 35.95 million tons of carbon dioxide (fumes) in a year, the same as what the whole of New Zealand generates in a year.

Secondly, the special device they use alongside the computers cannot be reused and they soon become obsolete. This amounts to the generation of electronic wastes which are harmful to the environment. According to Digiconomist, bitcoin alone generates 8-12 thousand tons of e-waste in a year. The complicated aspect is that the higher the price, the higher the consumption of power and generation of wastes.

The world is currently working on an extreme reduction in the emissions of carbon dioxide as well as the generation of wastes that cause climate change and are harmful to the environment. Elon Musk believes he has an obligation to sustain this because he’s into battery making and electric cars which helps to produce a healthy environment.

While I assume that, the reasons Elon cited were mere excuses, crypto networks have also claimed that most miners are not using unrenewable energy sources but renewables such as hydroelectricity and solar. Some crypto are also working towards the total elimination of mining. If that is widely adopted and effective, maybe it could boost the confidence of private company owners especially the big boys.

Talking about the big boys, recently, crypto stopped dropping- do you know why? Two major things: Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter and lover of crypto held a discussion with Elon Musk. In the debate or discussion, Elon mentioned that his company still has an investment in crypto worth millions of dollars and that they may soon resume accepting crypto for their products. The second factor is the rumour that Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon and the richest man in the world is contemplating accepting crypto.

Those two events boost public confidence in crypto even though I am of the opinion that the rumour is actually false. But let’s assume it’s true for a second.

Amazon is the biggest e-market in the world. It runs just like Jumia or let me say, Jumia runs just like it. If it accepts crypto, that will increase the purchasing power of crypto. More investors will follow suit and that will mean wealth for crypto owners. I really wish this would happen and nothing is impossible but bear in mind that private investors are in any business to make themselves richer and not to make you richer. If the odds favour them perfectly, they will do it.

The third force that could make crypto increase in value is public acceptance. Allow me to explain how this works in the third article. I may also explain the introduction of new cryptocurrencies owned by countries and investors which are meant to compete with the existing ones.

  • WHO IS SPENDING MY TITHE?

    WHO IS SPENDING MY TITHE?

This generation is asking too many questions and either we like it or not, we can no longer tell them to shut up. If we refused to answer them, false shepherds are everywhere, ready to answer.

One of their questions is “where’s is my tithe going to?” Who is spending it?

According to the Levitical Priesthood, all tithes go to the welfare of the family of the Levites. Levite is one of the 12 tribes of Israel chosen as ministers. None in their clan is permitted to work or own private business and so, the tithe is majorly meant for their welfare.

But we are no more in the Levitical order of Priesthood. We belong to the Davidic Priesthood. David was the first man to act as a priest without belonging to the family of Levi. Jesus came from that root. He made everyone priests and ministers but also created certain offices to minister to the body of Christ. We call it the five-fold offices.

How does that relate to tithes?
The Levites were allowed to have the tithes because no one in their family was working. The father, the mother, the sister, the uncle and so on were not working. But in this dispensation, it is only the minister that doesn’t do secular work. At most, the minister and his wife and so, I don’t see why the tithes paid directly into the ministry purse should go to the G.O or whoever heads the ministry.

The truth is, this is not new. And I break everything down in our School of Ministry. That churches and ministries are not telling us about it doesn’t mean they are not doing it. In most places, the pastor doesn’t spend or eat the tithe you give. There may be a few places where they do eat tithes and even offering without accounting for it but I can tell you with my whole chest that most ministries around the world don’t eat members’ tithes. Tithes are well recorded and accounted for in most places. Even as a guest minister on a Sunday in some churches, you would be asked to sign on it.

What is my tithe used for?
The items David collected were all used for the building of the temple. David even emptied his personal account for the same purpose. And that is what happens today. Your tithes go into the development of the house of God. Note: this doesn’t include the ones you are led to personally pay to a man of God. The ones paid into the ministry account or tithe box are used to finance projects. Pastors also pay their tithe and seed for the same purpose just like David.

    What will pastors eat?
The employer of pastors which is God feeds them. Meanwhile, we advise pastors to place themselves on salary and that’s for those who aren’t on secular jobs. Many ministries do this. Even G.O and Presidents are placed on Salary. Billy Graham was on salary. Bishop Oyedepo was on salary. This salary is always small compared to secular jobs and many give it up after some time. Some never take it at all. The salary should be known to some members of the exco and it can be drawn from anywhere including from the tithes but not all of it.

    What about the needee?
First thing, the needee are not entitled to tithes.
Judas was quick to condemn Jesus that He was spending the money that was supposed to go to the needee but Jesus corrected that impression. He said that we can never fully meet the needs of the needees on earth.

However, Jesus, while He was on earth had a package for the needee. He had a system and % for them and Judas, the treasurer was in charge. So, ministries are encouraged to devise their own system and package for the poor and those in need. And let me tell you this categorically: there’s no ministry that doesn’t meet needs on a regular basis. It may be structured or unstructured but they do it almost daily or weekly. Only that many don’t announce it with cameras and social media.

My first-year school fees in NCE for instance was paid by the Student Mission Division of the Nigerian Baptist Convention. I got a loan from the Scripture Union for my first University fee. There are many on Winners Scholarship. RCCG built ICU in hospitals. I know a church here in Ibadan with around 300 members who fed the poor with one million Naira during the lockdown of last year. No news, no blog, no social media. CAC have run free/cheap maternity since 1930. Many of those running their mouths today were given birth to there.

I hope this answered your question of where your tithes go to?

  • HOW TO CHOOSE A SPIRITUAL FATHER

HOW TO CHOOSE A SPIRITUAL FATHER

Talking about spiritual fathers or mothers as the case may be, many youths didn’t understand the rules that determine whom you pick as your spiritual father.

The basic rule is ACCESS. It is not fame, it is not anointing and it is not about gifts. It is, first of all, access. Someone you can talk to when you want to. Someone who can call you up at any moment. Someone you can reach at a time of emergency. Someone who recognizes you. Someone who can put his schedules aside and quickly attend to you. Someone who will be there for you. That is whom you choose as a father.

Yes, there are fathers of faith in the land which we admire. They serve as father figures and mentors but when you want to pick a father who has a watch over you, you determine it by access. You may be blessed by a person’s radio/TV administration or books or broadcast but access comes first. Ironically, you may not even be able to reference much of your spiritual father’s messages or quotes like you do to other father figures depending on how resourceful he is yet, you are sure of one thing- access.

I could have mentioned other factors but I want to leave it at that in this write-up. I have fully listed and explained the factors guiding selecting a father in my teaching: “mentorship & discipleship”. It’s available on Telegram t.me/sadozite.

I was in that shoe many years ago. God asked me to follow Bishop Oyedepo, I argued that the things people do say about him won’t let me identify with him. I told God that Kenneth Hagin- was enough for me. He told me: “you need a living man who is working on current principles of this age”. After, more persuasions I submitted. Then, after some time again, He told me to get a father and He directed me to whom it would be. Again, I argued that Bishop David Oyedepo was enough for me, after all, I listen to his messages and read his books. That was when he taught me about ACCESS.

I visit my father and talk with him occasionally but the only time I have gone to discuss any challenge at all with him was once and he prayed with me. I haven’t had any reason to request to see him urgently but I know that he’s there for me even when he’s out of the country. So, when I say access, it’s not about choking a person up. I have children who have listened to 80% of my messages and books and we haven’t spoken in a while. But if they need me this moment, I will be there.

And let me add this, don’t leave a man whom you had IMPART+ACCESS and hunt after a man of fame. You will meet people more anointed than your father. But that a man is richer than your biological father doesn’t mean your father is no longer your father. Don’t become spiritually fatherless thinking you are connected. Don’t make a mentor a father and don’t make a father a mentor. All fathers of faith, are not your spiritual father, so to speak.

And yes, you can switch fathers based on some factors which I mentioned in that teaching but don’t let it be because of childishness or little offence.
