    In this edition, I will talk about “replenish” as used by God in Genesis 1:28: “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and REPLENISH the earth.”

    Scholars who believed that some beings or kind of humans once inhabited the earth always refer to God asking man to replenish the earth as a strong point. Their standpoint is that, “replenish” means to refill or renew and so how would God ask men to replenish the earth if not that it was once corrupted by some kind of creation.

    I must confess that it took me years to unlock this part. While I was meditating on it one night, the Holy Spirit told me to check the dictionary. I knew I had done that before but I obliged to check again. I was surprised to realize that the archaic meaning of the word “replenish” is “to fill”. That means, when KJV was written, the word “replenish” means “to fill” the earth and not to refill or renew the earth. Then, I checked modern translations and I realized they used the word “fill the earth.” See Amplified:

    “And God blessed them [granting them certain authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and FILL THE EARTH. Gen1:28.”

    I decided to check the original Hebrew word that was used and I found “mâlê’ mâlâ.” Guess the meaning? It simply means “to fill”.

    In this light, we know that God asking men to mâlê’ mâlâ the earth means to occupy and fill the new earth He just created and it by no means talk about re-filling.

    I should also state that, to avoid falling into error, when you see a minister stand on the altar breaking deep rhemas and mysteries (quote and unquote), take notes and go back to check your Bible. Check the dictionary, other versions and even indigenous translations (e.g, Yoruba Bible). This will also prevent you from teaching errors from your personal study.     This is one topic being discussed as a “mystery” in Christendom. Many respected ministers of God have asserted that there was indeed a “pre-Adamic World”. By this, they mean that there was a set of people or beings who occupied the planet Earth before Adam came to be. A preacher said Lucifer was sent like Jesus to those people but he rebelled against God and won those people to his side. Another respected minister of the gospel said, it was those people that became demons. He said demons were not the fallen angels but the set of people who occupied the first world. Another minister alludes that there were also animals in that world.

    Believe me, the ministers which I quoted above with names withheld are men and masters whom I hold in high esteem till date only that I disagree with some of their opinions on this subject matter.

    Let’s start like this:

    1. “Was there a pre-adamic world?”
      It depends on what this grammar means to you. Before Adam was created, there was something. And from my study, that is nothing but the “spirit world”. That was when the angels were made or created. Each of the angels were moulded by God. They don’t have an ancestry like human beings. So, as many as they are, God formed each of them.

    The rebellion of Satan against God was also before the Adamic age. If you read the account in the book of Revelation, you may think it happened much later or in-between. I guess that was why some people have suggested that there were two categories of men or beings that occupied the earth.

    The first argument of those who believed in a pre-Adamic being is that there was a GAP in-between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. Those who talk about this tends to sound sincerely deep but there’s actually nothing deep about it. Any literature student will understand that it was just a writing style.

    Genesis 1:1 says,
    In the beginning God CREATED the heaven and the earth.

    And verse 2 says,
    And the earth was without form, and void.

    With that sequence, people assumed that, after God had created heaven and earth, something happened that made the earth became VOID and FORMLESS. But that’s a misunderstanding.

    In literature, this is a style of writing which “concludes a story before saying the details”. Have you tried to watch a movie before and out of curiosity, you told a friend to tell you the end before you commence watching it? Like, you asked your friend, “did the actor die at the end”? That was exactly what happened here. The writer of Genesis told us God created the heaven and the earth and then explained to us how the heaven (firmament) was made as well as the earth.

    This same style of writing was adopted through the Old Testament especially in the account of 2Kings and the Chronicles. A chapter would open by saying, a king reigned and did evil and the next verse will tell us about his reign details. This same style was used in Genesis 1:27. The passage states that God made all men in his image but told us the details of that creation in Chapter 2. Some have misunderstood this passage as well and assumed that God made some set of men in Chapter 1 before making Adam in Chapter 2.

    With this understanding, we can therefore read Genesis 1:1-2 this way; “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The space which we now call earth used to be without form, and void, (full of waters)….”

     

    Remember that another word for “earth” is sand, land or soil. If I want to sound deep, I will take you to the Hebrew rendition-“‘erets”. “Erets” simply means land. So, this space wasn’t called Earth until God asked land to appear. Read:

    Genesis 1:8-9
    9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry LAND APPEAR: and it was so.
    10 And God called the DRY LAND EARTH….

    In the subsequent series, by God’s grace, I will clarify other passages used by ministers to support pre-Adamic beings. But before I end this, I want to emphasize to you that the heaven created in Genesis Chapter 1 is not the heaven where God dwells, it is the firmament, the sky that we can see. This is also known as, the first heaven. The third Heaven is where the throne of God is.

    Genesis 1:8.
    And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

    Should we celebrate Christmas? Merry Christmas to you! I can’t imagine believers and even Christian leaders causing a fuss over this matter. When we leave the core of Christianity and pursue the unnecessary doctrines, we tend to veer from the truth like some people who are now with the devil, fallen from grace.

    If I celebrate Christmas, what effect does it have on my Christianity and if I don’t, what effect does it have on my faith? Nothing and absolutely nothing. Some laid claims that the Christmas celebration is idolatry and it was in memory of some Roman gods. I want to ask: when you hear Christmas, what comes to your mind —Jesus’ sacrifice or some unknown gods? Whatever comes to your mind is the reason and motivation behind your celebration. When you have a clear conscience, you are at peace with God. God doesn’t have issues with you celebrating Christmas or not, but you start having issues with your faith when you get distracted by such fables.

    Some have also asked, “Do we need a special day to recognize Jesus birth?” I agree that we can celebrate and should celebrate Jesus every day of our lives but let me register it to you that Satan is having issues with Christmas celebration and that is why he is sponsoring so many arguments along the line. Forgetfulness, they say, is a blessing to the human race and we don’t forget things suddenly but gradually. It is the importance of a thing that first fades away before the event is entirely forgotten, thus the need for memorials to refresh our minds. God told the Israelite pilgrims en route Canaan land to keep objects and materials as reminders in teaching their unborn generations. This will make them reverence their God. I believe that is the wisdom behind museums today. Jesus also instructed us to keep the Holy Communion mainly as a memorial before other purposes.

    Back to Christmas celebration, it is a period where the sacrifice of Jesus is refreshed upon our minds. It is our memorial. No matter how holy or spiritual you have been all the year, when it is Christmas, there is an aura that brings us more into the reality of our Saviour.

    Let’s celebrate our Christmas, let it be a period to re-unite with family members, friends, relations and reach out to the unsaved and unbelieving neighbours as we go on to remember the precious sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    However, if you haven’t experienced salvation and you claim to celebrate Christmas, even if your name is Jeremiah, you have no portion in the everlasting life. You don’t get born again by birth or naturalization, you get saved by seeing a need and going for it. You can have it now.

    Say this prayer, _”Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and personal Saviour today. I believe in your death and resurrection and sacrifice for my sins. I receive the grace to continue in my walk of faith in Jesus name.”_ Contact the source of this devotional for follow up. Thank you.

    Fire in my bones! My dear calm down for few minutes.

    These are the trending words among zealous Christian youths today! But the big question is, where will this zeal be in 20years to come. I gave my life to Christ at the age of 11. I am not sure I had as much as this zeal back then but my zeal and love for Christ has not waned a bit. What can you do to keep the flow?

    Andrew Wommack stated that a young man in their Bible school said God has showed him a vision that he would conquer the world for Christ. The man was told to be patient and finish the Bible course but oh no! He said he can’t be wasting for three years when he has a world to conquer. Andrew Wommack said, it has been many years and the man is yet to conquer the world.

    Maybe you don’t know but let me tell you this, our generation is not the first to shout FIREEEEEE! And you are not the first to see the vision of heaven, angels and encounters with great men of God. If some people tell you what they have seen, you will realize you haven’t seen anything. But you know the shocking news? Only less than 10% made it. 100 youths wanted to raise the dead but only 10 did. 100 Rehinard Bonkes wanted to conquer the world but only Bonke & few others did. My eyes was opened to behold a vision when I was much younger. Some young men were on a race and they must necessarily run through a thick dark wilderness. The first man pick off and as soon as he got there we heard a loud noise and it went dead. The same with the second and third and so on. Finally, it came to my turn to run through that wilderness then the vision ended. Whether I have ran through or still in the middle of it, I don’t know but am still standing today. My dear, I have been bearing this zeal & love for God for some time, I think I can be of help to you.

    One thing this generation is missing out is KNOWLEDGE. We are loud on noise, we are loud at prayer, we are even loud in sleep but we are very low in knowledge. It takes a patient man to actually learn and that is why I told you to farabale that is, cool temper and learn.

    We are in the days of KNOWLEDGE. The things of the Spirit moves with times. When a people are deep in occultism, God moves in the dimension of gifts but when the people is won for Christ, He moves in the dimension of KNOWLEDGE. Gifts doesn’t ceast to exist but it would also manifest through knowledge.

    Let me break it down. In the book of acts, the first gift to the Church are Apostles who performed signs and wonders…right? Next, were Prophets who gives supernatural directions…right? When the people began to settle in and conflicts began to arise, we had government which first appear in form of deacons and later as pastors! Then the Church were sending out newer believers who couldn’t operate fully as Apostles but were called Evangelists. And at the end came knowledge which are TEACHERS! We have only one Acts but many letters (knowledge) in the Bible.

    Kenneth Hagin was a man who lived across 8 decades and he told us how it happened in the USA. Revival actually started with the gifts of Apostles & Prophets who performed powerful and unprecedented signs and wonders but continued with knowledge. Someone like Hagin, Copeland & Oral Roberts transisted from the Gift era to Knowledge era. Signs & Wonders didn’t die during the knowledge era, it only became more and even domesticated. The F.F Hunters demonstrated this when they organized world healing day. Hagin told us that even pastors who couldn’t quote a verse correctly performed great wonders in those era of gifts. But when the Spirit shifted, they died before they die.

    Let’s come to Nigeria and Africa as a whole. Many of us are still expecting God to moved the way he moved in 1930 but the dimension as changed! God always open new lands with GIFTS but must stabilize the souls with KNOWLEDGE. It doesn’t mean gifts would stop but it would required knowledge to flow. For example, our fathers fasted, clapped and prayed to get people baptized in the Holy Ghost yet everyone would not get baptized! By knowledge, I have gotten hundreds people baptized and it doesn’t last more than 5 minutes yet, there is nobody who has failed to get baptized under my ministration. Today, anybody can replicate the same thing anywhere in the world. I have trained those who do that effortlessly. The same thing with healing. By knowledge, people got healed with a blink of the eyes. It’s just like technology. Before now, you need to travel miles to get a message across but today, with text it’s done. But imagine a young man who still wants to do it in the “old ways.” I know Nigeria today, the most prominent ministries are ministry of knowledge. You agree with that, right?

    The same shifitng can happen in a man’s life whom God started with in the gift dimension. God expected them to grow in knowledge but they didn’t and so they die before they die. After Ayo Babalola died, where are the men who performed signs along side with him? Many of them were still around till the 2000s but all we had was their stories- “in those days”.

    As our generation dwell more on knowledge, we shall see more signs & wonders than the Bible times or even 1930. Seas will part and deads would be raised as deep ourselves further and further to searching.

    Devil has gone ahead of us to corrupt the knowledge by introducing several “rare mar” which they call “rhema”. But by their fruits we shall know them. They said they cannot die, yet they die. They said they are forever saved, yet they commit continuous sins.

    If you seek knowledge in the right place you will get it. Seat with your Bible, Read Books, Attend Biblical Courses, Pay attention to what those who won has to say. Apply everything! Lastly, until you are a lover of books, you are not a lover of knowledge.

    MEMORIZING SCRIPTURES

    When people complained to me that they find it difficult to memorize scriptures I used to tell them that “ko necessary”. It is not necessary. Read, study, understand, meditate and be able to paraphrased the scripture is what is most important.

    I can tell you very clearly that if you quote a paraphrased scripture to demons, they will flee. I am telling you from experience. During the temptation, Jesus didn’t quote verbatim to Satan, He paraphrased with revelation. What about those demons that came to attack you in the dream? Did you quote verbatim plus book, chapter and verse before they fled?

    Anyone who have casted out demons before can attest to this. And if anyone says its not true then I will ask if he actually quoted the chapter and verse and then told the demons the version he quoted from either it is KJV or NLT or NIV. And whether it was verse 2a or 2b and if he also included the punctuation or pronounced the English correctly.

    Thank God for movies, where someone is given a script to cram ahead but it’s not the same in real life. Maybe I should tell you that when the Bible was originally written, it has no chapter or verse, it was the scholars that added it for the sake of ease. That’s why you didn’t see Jesus and the Apostles ever quote chapter and verse.

    Some people are very good at memorizing the Scriptures. It is a very beautiful thing and emulatable discipline but if you don’t have that, use what you have.

    What you need is to be able to locate those Scriptures you know and need easily in the Bible. And with many Bible apps today, you just need to search using a keyword or use Google like, type: “where did Jesus fed four thousand in the Bible”. Or use your Bible app to search for “four thousand”.

    And if you wish to memorize a thing, anything, this is what you can do. Record it on your phone and play it back to yourself over and over repeating after the voice.
