    Welcome again to the Christocentric Series, The last topic treated was Tabah; The Mystery of the Ark and we saw Jesus at the center of it.

    Just 400 years after the flood experience, we see God making a covenant with a Man called Abraham, God promised him to bless the family of the whole earth through his seed.

    Genesis 12:7
    And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.

    Afterwards, we see that Abraham gave birth to Isaac who gave birth to Jacob and Jacob gave birth to 12 children. At Bethel, Jacob’s name was changed to Israel, therefore his 12 children are called the children of Israel. These were the so called Israelites (Genesis 49 highlighted their names).

    One of 12 children’s name was a boy named Joseph. Joseph found himself in Egypt being sold there, as a slave. And by the virtue of God’s favour, he later became the prime minister of Egypt, such that when there was a great famine in the whole world, Joseph was the only one in charge of food in Egypt. So, His Brethren went to get food in Egypt and they saw him and that was how all of them had a reunion and started living back in Egypt, each of them with their wives. And they started giving birth to babies. And when Joseph and the (reigning) king (Pharaoh) died, all of them couldn’t find their way back home again.

    Another king mounted the throne named after the first king; Pharaoh, He wasn’t friendly with the Israelites (Jew) at all. He rather maltreated them. But, they kept giving birth amidst themselves and God decided to save them through a boy called Moses.

    After spending 400 years in the camp of the Egyptians, God delivered them from the second Pharaoh by drowning those bad guys into the Red Sea.

    I just finished summarizing Genesis12-Exodus 14😀… Isn’t that wonderful??😉

    MARAH to REPHIDIM EXPERIENCE (EXODUS 15-17)
    In Exodus 15, we see the Israelites at a place called MARAH. They were thirsty and they began grumble against Moses that why can’t he provide water for them (what an ungrateful attitude🤔). But Moses prayed to God and the water became sweet and they started enjoying as they had been enjoying.

    Exodus 15:22-25
    So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
    And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
    And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
    And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance , and there he proved them.

    In chapter 16,God still proved Himself as a provider to them by Providing Manna and Quai for them from Heaven.

    TEBAH 2: The Pitch and the Door

    Genesis 6:14“Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.”

    We are still on the hidden mystery of Ark. When God was giving the instructions of how the ark will be to Noah, God told him to cover the ark with pitch both inside and outside.

    For us to get the Prophetic meaning of the Pitch, we first need to get the literal meaning.

    PITCH means a waterproof object that doesn’t permit water movement or water penetration. Strong Concordance Hebrew word for pitch means ‘KAPHAR‘ which still means: ‘cover, purge, make Atonement.’
    You can read more about this in my article ‘ YOM KIPPUR’ . The word ‘KIPPUR‘ was coined from ‘KAPHAR‘.

    In the New Testament, Pitch is translated as ‘PROPITIATION‘.
    Jesus is the pitch that didn’t allow God’s Judgement (Water) to come to us. *1 John 2:1-2*

    “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
    And he is the PROPITIATION for our sins: and not for ours only, but also the sins of the whole world”. *1 John 4:10*

    “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he _loved us, and sent his Son to be the PROPITIATION for our sins”.

    THE DOOR

    Genesis 6:16″A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the DOOR of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it”.

    Another silent but salient point is that the Ark is having only one door. And it’s rare for you to see a very big ark that will be having only a door.
    So, Just as the ark is having only one entrance, it is also only one entrance Into eternal salvation which is Jesus. _John 10:9_

    “I am the DOOR: by me, if any man enters in, he shall be saved and shall go in and out, and find pasture”.

    THE SCARLET THREAD

    Welcome to the Christocentric Series, as we look at Jesus masked in the Old testament, and unmasked in the New testament.

    Shout out to Adex Blessings, Elsam, Esther Bolajoko, Elsam , Fakiyesi Tolorunleke and Paul Adeyeye. They emerged as the five persons who got the first question of the week correctly.

    When you hear the word “Scarlet”, what’s the first thought that drops in your mind? Red? Good. That’s the simple meaning. Scarlet means something that’s Red while Thread is a material used in sewing. Thread can be used in producing cloth, rope. Etc.

    RAHAB AND THE SCARLET THREAD

    Joshua 2:18-21 – “Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of SCARLET THREAD in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father’s household, home unto thee.

    “And it shall be, that whosoever shall go out of the doors of thy house into the street, his blood shall be upon his head, and we will be guiltless: and whosoever shall be with thee in the house, his blood shall be on our head, if any hand be upon him.

    “And if thou utter this our business, then we will be quit of thine oath which thou hast made us to swear.

    “And she said, According unto your words, so be it. And she sent them away, and they departed: and she bound the SCARLET LINE in the window.”

    In this passage, RAHAB protected the spies that spied Jericho, and when they were about to escape from her house, she used a red rope(Scarlet Thread) to exit them out of her house. Before they finally left, she made a request that whenever they are to attack the land, they should have mercy on her. Their response was that she should leave the Scarlet Thread on the window of her house and whenever they will be attacking the land, the house wouldn’t be attacked no matter how furious any of the armies would be. Therefore, anyone who would in the house bearing the red thread on it would be safe.

    This is a typology of what happened in the land of Egypt. God told the Israelites to put blood on their doorpost so that whenever the angel of destruction passes over, he will not hurt them. We can see that the Blood and the Scarlet Thread are having the same prophectic meaning.

    OTHER PROPHECTIC SCARLET THREAD

    Genesis 3:21 – “Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.”

    We can see here God made a cloth for Adam and Eve with a thread of blood. This is the first place that blood was shed in the Bible as asked in the question of last post. The implication of this is that the animal that was killed was innocent of the sin of Adam and Eve but paid for their coverage. So also is Jesus innocent of the Sins He died for. He knew no sin but made Himself sin for us. And the standard of the Lord remain sure that without shedding of Blood, there’s no remission of sin.

    Exodus 12:5 – “Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:”

    We also see this in the levitical order on the day of You Kippur(Day of Atonement).The Animal that will be used for Atonement (Covering of sin) must be a year old meaning that the blood can only cleanse or cover sin for a year but Jesus was our own lamb that was slain. He wasn’t a year old. He wasn’t 33years old. He was beyond age. Hee transcends time. He’s ageless. So, he made propitiation of our sin once, for all and forever (Gloraaaaaay).

    Hebrews 9:11-14 – “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

    “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

    “For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

    “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”

    We are beginning a voyage starting from this week and it’s going to be a very unique and interesting one. The name may sound ambiguous,😀 but don’t worry it’s simple and easy to understand.

    Christocentric means Christ Centered. It’s my pleasure to let everyone understand the fact that the Bible is centred on Jesus. Jesus is the theme and the main man of the Bible. Every page of the Bible is pointing at one man called Jesus. Every where you’re reading in the Bible is a direct link to the person and personality of Jesus.

    The old testament is the Shadow of Jesus while the new testament is the real substance of Jesus. In old testament, Jesus was masked and was unmasked in the new testament. There are many analogies and typologies used in the Old testament that were revealed in the New Testament.

    In the Christocentric series, we’ll be picking a shadow in the old testament and be revealing the real substance in the new Testament.

    HOLY GHOST BAPTISM

    This is the last part of the Tongues series and this part is meant for Those that want to know how to minister Holy Ghost Baptism with the evidence of Speaking in tongues and those that really want to be baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

    Below are the steps to follow in receiving the baptism of Holy Spirit. Ready for IMPARTATION.

    Steps to Receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost

    1. You are not to ask or beg God for it, just expect it.
    2. Believe He has given you and you will manifest it.
    3. Don’t hate tongues. That some people misuse it doesn’t mean it has lost its power.
    4. Don’t pretend not to need it. Holy Ghost baptism is not just about tongues, it is about empowerment but tongues is the initial sign that you are baptized.
    5. Clear your minds of doubts, God will give you, if you think any sin can hinder you, ask for forgiveness now and now. (Isa 1:18: “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool”). And forgive everyone in your heart.
    6. As I pray for you, you will be baptized and you will speak in new tongues.
    7. As I pray for you, the Holy Spirit will give you utterances and you will speak it out. Note that utterance means any sound produced with the mouth. That means the utterance could be one syllable or two. It could be a string of words. Understand that you are the one that will pronounce the utterance in anyway it comes to your mind as the Holy Spirit gives you utterance.
    8. When I pray for you, the utterance would come. Don’t think you are the one thinking it, it is not you. Don’t think you will be unconscious or lost, it is not so. Don’t be bothered if you don’t know the meaning just
      speak it. And keep repeating whatever comes to your mind.
    9. Daddy thank you because you are a faithful God, you always hear me

    and you are eager to give us than we are eager to ask. I pray for you:

    Receive the Holy Spirit right now in Jesus Name.!!!!!

    1. Open your mouth and began to speak those tongues out.

    LORI IRO (The Fallacies of Tongues)

    I’m sure that there are two sets of people that saw the topic. The first set of people (The Yoruba speaking brethren) knew the meaning while the second set of people that may not be Yoruba may be thinking maybe it’s a tongue or a Greek phrase😀.

    The word Lori iro is actually a Yoruba word that’s being used to counter those who are telling lies. And that’s why it’s being adopted into this series.

    There are some lies in which people do tell when it comes to the concept of tongues. I’m just going to share five of those lies in this part of the series.

    The fact that a motor car has an accident does not mean that we’ll be traveling on long distance by foot and stop boarding buses. Also, the fact that people misunderstand the concept of tongues and teaching many heresies about it does not mean we won’t teach it. The mandate God gave me is to divide the word of truth rightly and that’s the essence of this blog.

    The 5 Fallacies are:

    1. Tongues and Holy Spirit
    2. The doctrine of unconsciousness
    3. Mentality of Laying on hand.
    4. School of Tongues
    5. Highness
    6. TONGUES AND HOLY SPIRIT

    I’ve been accused of this many time in my home town. In fact, I’ve faced so many panels on this subject. Those panels claimed that “If you can’t speak in tongues, then you are not having the Holy Spirit”. I’ll just sigh and say within myself ” Lori iro” 😀. That’s a big lie from the pit of hell. Although, there are some people that do this campaign, but it’s a big lie, a very big extreme one for that matter.

    The Apostle of Faith of the blessed memory Smith Wigglesworth, He was gifted in raising of the dead by faith. When he started his ministry, he had the Holy Spirit in him but was not baptized in the Holy Ghost. It was after he visited a ministerial friend that his friend’s wife baptized him in the Holy Ghost and he started experiencing the move of God in greater dimensions afterwards.

    Tongues is just an initial evidence of Holy Ghost Baptism. It has nothing to do at all with the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Once you give your life to Christ, you have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you. Tongues is just there to initiate you into a greater dimension of the experience you’ll have with Him.

    • THE DOCTRINE OF UNCONCIOUSNESS

    I’ve heard so many folks too claiming that you have to be unconscious while receiving the baptism of Holy Spirit. They claim that the disciples were behaving as if they were drunk after receiving the Holy Ghost in the book of Acts. So, if you must receive Holy Spirit you have to be staggering and break some chairs before you can speak it out. Lol…… Lori iro😀.

    This is a big lie. If the disciples were truly unconscious, why was it that Peter stood up to address the people watching them? The Holy Spirit doesn’t make one unconscious, the evil spirit does.

    I was in a heavy atmosphere of the Holy Spirit, this girl was doing as if she was unconscious under the atmosphere. People were trying to hold her but she was not stable. As she performed her drama, she used her hand to break the pulpit🤣🤣🤣(You just finished laughing?). As i was in the Spirit too, I laughed but she was already crying and looking for means of saving her blood. “But,’ I thought to myself, ‘you said you were unconscious before”.

    When you see such people at another time, please give them a slap even among the multitude, you’ll be surprised that they will come and accuse you afterward.

    • Mentality of Laying of Hands

    Laying of hands is actually a way of ministering Holy Ghost Baptism to an individual, you can check the book of Acts to confirm this. But it’s wrong if you think that it’s only the way to minister it. I’ve seen so many ministers that lay hands angrily all the time to minister Holy Ghost baptism to people, you’ll see these set of ministers pushing the person they are ministering to receive it by fire by force. It’s always funny when you are in a scenario where an angry minister encounters a stubborn client😀. It’s always a thug of war.

    But we don’t need this. By the grace of God, I’ve ministered Holy Ghost Baptism to countless number of people on WhatsApp and they are now sporadic tongues speakers.

    • School of Tongues.

    There is another fallacy by people who don’t believe in tongues. They would say that people are going to a school to learn tongues. Some will even say that the minister do tell them that this is what you should say as I’ll be praying for you.

    Though, I’ve not seen a school where they teach tongues before. If you’ve see one before please let me know at the comment box. Neither have I seen a minister spelling tongues for people to say. Whichever way it may be, it’s very wrong. No matter who is involved in such act, it’s not right.

    Tongues is a supernatural language that can be given to you by God alone, not man or any teacher.

    • Highness

    Another fallacy is that you must be high in the spirit before you can pray in tongues. This is not balanced. Saying this is like saying that you must be hungry to a certain degree before you eat food.

    Paul said if he wished, he prayed in tongues and If he wished he prayed in understanding.

    1 Corinthians 14:15 – “hat is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. “

    These and many more are the cries of some people on my wall. If you’re having such issues, then welcome on board. I’ll be sharing with you some Principles that will help you grow your prayer life.

    1.THE PRINCIPLE OF RESPONSIBILITY

    The number one factor that people do get wrong is creating the mentality that it’s the counselor that will help them grow their prayer life. No! No! And No! You’re the one responsible for your growth. I can’t be eating and be expecting that you’re the one that will be defecating for me. You must be the one that responsible, while the Counselor is there to only guide you. It’s the sense responsibility that will make you to be accountable. If you know you’ll not be responsible please don’t read further.

    2.Principle of an Operating System/Time management.

    Time management is life management. If you can manage your time very well and you can Create a some hours in your schedule for prayers, then you’re really ready to pray. The reason why you’ve not been praying is that you don’t painstakingly schedule the days of your prayer weekly, monthly and yearly. You have to build an operating system around it. How do I build an operating system around it? You do so by first deciding the numbers of days you’ll be praying in a week e.g. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays will be my prayer days(I’ll advice you couple it with fasting)and you’ll create some hours out of those days according to your schedule.

    This may be tedious, but remember you have to grow🧏🏻.

    3.UNDERSTAND YOURSELF

    I’ve met with so many people that will be like it’s only midnight they want to be praying. Prayer made in the normal day seems not to be potent to them. See these Bible passages:

    Psalms 127:2 – “It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.”

    Ecclesiastes 5:12 – “The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.”

    And many more scriptures that speak about night rest.

    Understand your Prime Time. Prime Time is the time that you’re most active. This can be in the day or night. The fact is that you must pray, not you must pray in the night.

    Stop comparing yourself with someone that their prime time is in the night. Doing this comparison will always makes you not to achieve anything. Stop thinking that it’s an attack. It’s not an attack. It’s misunderstanding of Yourself.

    I’ve seen some people that will say they can’t Pray by 12am because they have had a stressful day. I advise them to change the time to 5am in the morning and they are doing well in prayer now.

    More so, I’m not underestimating night prayer. In fact I used to do that at least once in a week but the fact is that you must understand yourself.

    4.PRINCIPLE OF PROGRESSION

    Some people are fond of boasting here and there saying things like, ” I just finished 12 hours of tongues at a stretch.” Well, they have their reward. When you hear this, it enters your head and you say to yourself that you’ll go and try it too. I’m assuring you that you can never reach that level.

    You don’t just wake up after you’re just been given birth to and start saying that you want to be eating strong bones. You don’t start school in university level you start it in primary level. You don’t start praying 60 hours when you’ve not practice praying for 60 minutes.

    Start by setting a progressive goal for yourself, tell yourself you’ll pray 30 minutes for this week and increase it with 15 minutes by the following week, as you do that you’ll see that praying for long hours will soon become easy for you.

    5.PRINCIPLE OF AN ATMOSPHERE

    Prayer energy is always available when you leverage on an atmosphere. What’s an atmosphere? This simply means playing a spirit filled song to charge your environment. You can plug in your earpiece and play chants or tongues. Go to Naijasermon.com.ng and look for Spirit filled chants that will elevate your spirit in the place of prayer. Play it along as you pray.

    6.PRINCIPLE OF TONGUES

    You can’t go far in prayer if you’re not baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. You’ll always exhaust your prayer points on time if you can’t pray in tongues.     7.PRINCIPLE OF INTERCESSION

    When you see someone that is praying in tongues for a longtime, they don’t pray for themselves. Rather, they intercede for the kingdom and the church. Cultivate this attitude and see yourself grow in prayer.

    LEVELS OF TONGUES

    Welcome back again in the name of the Lord. I hope you are enjoying this series as it is going. What we treated in the last series was ‘Stages of tongues’, but now we want to see the levels in tongues.

    There are 4 levels of tongues I’ll be unveiling to you, which include:

    1. Tongues as an initial evidence of Holy Ghost Baptism.
    2. Tongues as a Gift of the Spirit.
    3. Tongues in Prophecy.
    4. Tongues as a Ministerial Gift.
    • HOLY GHOST BAPTISM

    As I treated in part 2 of this series, tongues serve as the initial evidence of Holy Ghost Baptism. Tongues are like the gate that launch you into the realms of the Supernatural.

    There might be a gift that becomes active in you after you are born again or before you are even born again (For instance, Cornelius could see vision even when he was yet to be a believer). However, the moment you surrender and you are baptized by the Holy Ghost, it becomese more active.

    How do you even know that you’re now baptized? It’s by speaking in tongues. I gave 5 scriptural backup to support this point in the part 2 of this series. Do well to check it.

    Mark 16:17 – “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.”

    • SPIRITUAL GIFT

    This is like the bubbling stage of tongues. At this level, your tongues diversify. Your tongues become a gift at the moment and will have the ability to diversify on it own without any stress. That’s the reason why the Paul called it DIVERSITY OF TONGUES not GIFT OF TONGUES.

    1 Corinthians 12:10 – “To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.”

    • TONGUES IN PROPHECY

    At this level, this is when you have the ability to interpret your tongues or the tongues of others. Infact according to Paul, the mathematical equation for Prophecy is:

    TONGUES➕ INTERPRETATION ➡️ PROPHECY.

    1 Corinthians 14:4-5 – “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.”

    • TONGUES AS A MINISTERIAL GIFT

    There are gifts that are accorded to some Evangelists as ministerial gifts and that’s why Paul was asking if all speak in tongues in the 12th chapter of his first letter to the Corinthians. All do not operate in this gift because all are not called into this office.

    1 Corinthians 12:29-30 – “Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?”

    You’re welcome back from the long vacation we embarked on. It was because of the upgrade of the blog. Hope you can see that it’s now more beautiful than before. I’m sure you’ve missed the blog too(Smiles). I did too.

    We are going to pick up the series we were treating on Tongues. The last topic treated was TONGUES FOR ALL where we established the facts that Tongues is meant for all believers and we all ought to be able to speak it because it’s the language of the immortals.

    Today, we want to check the Stages of tongues we have. Have you ever noticed that there are some men of God that whenever they are speaking in tongues, they use to speak only one rhymes or line of tongues? You said Yes? Ok, Do you also noticed that there are some that can speak 20 different tongues at the same time? Yes too? Good. This should register it at the back of your mind that we have stages of tongues. Our Progression in Spiritual stages is in tandem with our Pressing Into the Spiritual things.

    There are 3 Stages of Tongues:

    1. Babbling Stage

    2. Digging Stage

    3. Bubbling Stage

     

    1. BABBLING STAGE

    This is a baby stage in tongues. At this stage, you’re talking like a babbling baby in tongues. How does a babbling baby talk? They play with a word, a syllable or Phrase. It’s always hard for them to pronounce long words. This is likened to this level in the spirit as well.

    John 4:14 – “But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”

    At this stage, you’re just filled with the Holy Ghost. You’re new to it.

     

    2. DIGGING STAGE

    This is the second stage of tongues. At this stage, you keep digging into tongues by praying even in that one syllable the more. When you’re digging, it’s not something that’s palatable or interesting in nature, but it need some levels of diligence and consistency. It’s at this stage that so many people that are just baptized in the Holy Ghost quit because they think that after the baptism, there won’t be any price to pay again.

    I remember a good friend of mine, Wale by name. I was graced to lead him into the Holy Ghost baptism. Two weeks after, he called me and told me that the tongues was boring to him and that the syllable he received at the point of baptism was still what he kept saying. So, I invited him for a 3-day Tongues retreat and what we did in that retreat was digging. We dug until water came out. Now, he can pray and pray in Tongues for hours with different utterances by the Holy Ghost.

    This level of Tongues is likened to a river water. It’s the river (River) that supplies water to the well(Babbling).

    John 7:38 -“He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”

     

    3. BUBBLING STAGE

    This is the stage at which you bubble in tongues. Here you can pray in tongues. At this point, you’ll just notice that you’re speaking some utterances which are entirely different from some utterances you were speaking before. This is the point at which your tongues diversify.

    Joel 2:23 – “Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.”

    This stage is likened to the Rain level. It’s the rain that fill the rivers and they flow into the well.

    This stage then has no limit. For every stage you’re in the Spirit, there’s always a greater stage. Therefore, you can explore so many stages within this bubbling Stag treated different Stages in this series, we’ll treat the Levels of tongues by next series. (more…)

    TONGUES FOR ALL

    Welcome to the tongues series again.

    One of the challenges I faced before I was baptized in the Holy Ghost was that I did encounter people who believed that speaking in tongues is not meant for everybody but for some certain bodies.

    This belief is always supported by 1 Corinthians 12:30 – “Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?”

    However, the aim of this article is to deliver those who might be in these shoes from this dilemma too.

    I’ll be sharing some facts and figures that go against the conclusion that tongues is not meant for all.

    1. THE FIRST INCIDENT

    To really decipher the truth of this matter, we need to first of all check the first place where tongues were spoken in the Bible.

    Acts 2:4 – “And they were ALL filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

    The first question that I’ll love to ask is that: How many people were in the upper room? Answer: 120

    Secondly, how many were filled with the Holy Ghost? ALL.

    If among them, there wasn’t a left over who didn’t experience the touch of the Lord, then, God is willing to give to everyone that believe in this age too.

    1. JESUS WORD

    A supernatural sign that formed part of Jesus’s farewell message to His disciple that will separate those that believe from those that didn’t believe is the ability to speak in tongues. The sign is meant for BELIEVERS and not just for Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors or Teachers.

    The only prerequisite is that you must BELIEVE and have the required knowledge, then you’ll have access to speak this supernatural language.

    Mark 16:17 – “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.”

    1. CORNELIUS HOUSE

    Cornelius is a devout man in the Bible but he was not yet a believer, He was opportuned to cross Peters Lane with his family and as Peter was preaching the Gospel of Jesus to them, Holy Ghost fell on them and they ALL (not some) spoke in tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

    Acts 10:44 – “While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.”

    1. EPHESIANS BELIEVERS

    Paul was passing through Ephesus one day and he branched to see the Believers there. He asked, “Are you baptized in the Holy Ghost with the Evidence of speaking in tongues?” But they were like, “Is it necessary?” (Lol) – as some people do ask too – but Paul laiid his hand on them and ALL OF THEM not SOME of THEM, received the Holy Ghost and spoke in other tongues.

    Acts 19:1-6 –

    [1]And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

    [2]He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

    [3]And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.

    [4]Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

    [5]When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

    [6]And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

    1. JOEL’S PROPHESY

    Joel 2:28 – “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.”

    Prophet Joel spoke about this day long ago and one of the things that will happen to the sons and daughters of this age is that they’ll all prophesy; and Prophecy means Tongues + Interpretation, according to 1Corinthians14:5.
