  • WHY YOU ARE POOR AS A FULL-TIME MINISTER 2- Pst. Ife ADETONA

WHY YOU ARE POOR AS A FULL-TIME MINISTER 2- Pst. Ife ADETONA

#2 You mix God’s money with your money.

Many GOs, founders and presidents of ministries dabble into God’s offering committing the sin of Hophni and Phinehas. They say to themselves: “God’s money is my money and my money is God’s money”. That’s sacrilege.

Bishop David Oyedepo told us a story of a man of God he went to preach for. After the service, the man dived to where they were counting the offering and dipped his hands into the box. He took some cash and drove off. While on their way, he stopped the car, got down and came back with sardines, bread and orisirisi in his hands. Bishop exclaimed: “is it the money you took from the offering box that you used to buy all these things?” He said: “Yes, we are going to take care of the man of God, isn’t it?” Bishop said- “God forbid I eat from that money”.

    Nobody counted the money.
    Nobody recorded it
And he is not going to report how it was spent to anyone.

We can’t even begin to mention the consequences this act is costing you and the ministry.

First, to take unaccounted money leaves others with the power to do the same when you turn your back.

You are building trust issues around yourself.

You are not preparing for a great ministry. You can do that because you are small and you will remain small.

Above all, you are heaping the curses of Hophni and Phinehas upon yourself and your generation.

In our ministry, if my family has any kobo to give to the ministry, we send it to the ministry’s account and it is recorded as a seed.

There is something called impress. If I need to make any purchase on behalf of the ministry, the money is released and I return with a breakdown to the last dime. The treasurer will put all in her records. It is the same with whoever is taking any money out to get a thing done on behalf of the ministry. That is how we run the ministry from 2014 till date. It is all recorded in a hardcover.

Taking and spending unaccounted money for whatever reason is STEALING. It doesn’t matter if you spend it on the ministry or even added your money to it. You are still a THIEF. Please, REPENT and put things in order.

THE LORD BE WITH ALL OF US. Amen

  • REASON YOU’RE POOR AS A FULL-TIME MINISTER – Pst. Ife ADETONA

REASON YOU’RE POOR AS A FULL-TIME MINISTER – Pst. Ife ADETONA

    #1 Wrong expectations.

When I decided I was going to go full time, I started asking God some questions like: where am I going to live because I was staying in an official lodge? I also asked God: “WHO IS GOING TO PAY MY SALARY?”, ” Where will my money come from?” Do those statements sound familiar? I first heard it from Bishop Oyedepo as some of the questions he asked God and so I decided to do the same.

God asked me, “Who pays a Teller that works in a bank? The bank or the customers? I said: the bank.

Then, He said: customers bring money to the bank in other to save it. The Teller must not look at the customer or the money in expectation to be paid from it. I said YES.

He went on: but the Teller must attend to the customer well even though she’s not expecting to be paid by the customers or from the money that was brought by them. “YES SIR”.

Also, He said: the Teller’s salary and promotion are based on how well she attends to the customers. Again, I said YES.

Then, He explained the meaning of the illustration: I am your Employer, I am the one to pay you and not the people or your members you minister to. They will have testimonies just like customers bringing money to the bank but they are not to pay you. You must also attend to them well because that determines if you will be paid or not.

I argued: BUT IT IS MEN THAT GOD WOULD USE.

He replied: look up to God that will use men and not the men that God would use.

It is painful that pastors would labour on someone, they will have testimonies but not remember their pastors. But it is very wrong for any pastor to feel OFFENDED BY THIS. It’s like a teacher getting offended that his students didn’t pay him or bankers getting offended that customers who came to deposit a huge sum of money didn’t pay them.

It is this wrong expectation that leads to OFFENCE, BITTERNESS, CUSSING, and ANGER towards yourself and those you are ministering to.

If you feel bad, take it to God. If you’re angry, take it to God. If you feel cheated or neglected, take it to God. It is God that employed you and not those people. If you try to look up to them, the biggest they can give you is what they call ” tipping”. And if your Employer catches you asking for tips, you can be fired! Many are pastors whom God has left to enjoy the “tipping” while their salaries are withheld. Stop cheating yourself. Satan is not the one that kept you poor. Get over the wrong expectation.

  • Pastor Ife at 11 years in ministry

Pastor Ife at 11 years in ministry

Celebrating 7 Years in Full-Time ministry plus 4 years in the ministry I served full-time, making 11 years.

You all know that I am a staunch advocate for full-time ministry. Probably, another side of me you don’t know is that I have discouraged a good number of people who came to me for counsel concerning going full-time. That’s usually due to timing and the fact that some didn’t have something to build full-time ministry upon. I have also refrained from advising some people because they didn’t let me talk. They come with the attitude of: “GOD SAYS and there is nothing you can say to me.”

Another thing you should know about me is that I strongly believe in the office of the part-time ministry. The church is designed to have much more volunteers than full-time staff. Part-time ministers are elevated church workers or ordained workers just like the 7 deacons selected in the book of Acts. It only becomes funny when part-time ministers push an agenda that there is no point in full-time. Many of them know only little about full-time ministry and it shows in the way they talk and act when the issue of full-time ministers is raised. That’s a discussion for another day.

Above all is my forward passion for FULL-TIME MINISTERS most especially in the area of finances because that is the area people mock the most. Finance is also the reason many people meant for full-time has settled for part-time.

In lieu of this, I want to do a series titled “WHY FULL-TIME MINISTERS ARE POOR“. It will be short daily nuggets. I hope to cover as many reasons as possible because there are a lot of factors that can contribute towards it.

I hope to also link it together so much that you can see all the previous series.

Take this walk with me and do well to share and tag those you believe needs to see it either as full-time ministers or aspiring full-time minister.

  • READING BOOKS MADE EASY – Pst. Ife ADETONA

READING BOOKS MADE EASY – Pst. Ife ADETONA

We started the study on PERSONAL LEADERSHIP
We close it by stating the importance of BOOK READING in the transformation of a leader
2Ti 4:13 The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments.
How did Paul whom was never among the 12 knew so much and become so prominent?Books✅

Jesus opened the book and He discovered what was written about Him
I believe most people know the importance of books but the challenge is they don’t know HOW TO START
    It all starts with SELECTION
    Select books that you NEED
Adults learn faster when they read what they need
    You hate books, right?
But in school, you read those handouts and textbooks.
    Why?
Do you say it’s a must?
That’s just it! Select a book or title by need!

Click on this link now and ask Lydia to send the list of all SADOZ books to you.
    wa.me/+2349035972506
Which of it, do you need right away in your life?
Do not aim to read 100 books at once
How many did you read last year?

Let that guide how you will set your goal
You can start by ONE in a month.
Divide it into weeks or invest the holiday of this weekend on it
When I ask people about their interest in book, they cite two challenges

    Problems with reading

    1. I don’t enjoy reading books.
    2. I don’t enjoy reading PDF
Then I used to ask them, DO YOU LISTEN TO MESSAGES?
    They usually answer yea!
People that read a lot don’t like much of sounds.

And those who love a lot of sounds feel bored with books
So, I proffer a solution to them:

1.TURN PDF BOOKS INTO AUDIO BOOK

This is easy given the technology available on your phone
But first let me talk some more about PDF and E-book
Hard copy books are good and has their own place but you will be at a disadvantage if you don’t embrace e-copies
The last book I bought was #2,500
Those days we used to buy books for around #800 to #1,500. That’s almost the highest
Tell me, how much can you spare on books per month?
I even bought a book last month for #5,000
    One book o
But PDF gives you the room to get books for FREE!
THERE are several channels and platforms today where you can get books from various authors for free!
pdfdrive.com for instance has up to 84,000,000 free books from different authors and subjects
Scribd also has a lot of resources

So, you are losing a lot if you don’t learn to read PDF
I read all the God’s General series in soft copy

    2. You can get books at lower price

Some books can never go for absolutely free
    But you need them
Most foreign books are available for free but most indigenous books are available freely
Most foreign books are available for free but most indigenous books are available at a cost
Reading from someone who is using examples you can relate with makes a lot of difference
Foreign authors speaks in dollar terms but an indigenous author will speak in your own terminologies and make it simple
Now, PDF gives you their book at cheaper rates if at all you are paying.

    3. You can carry several books around on your phone including the ones you have read

If you need references, you can easily check for it

    4. You can read anytime and anywhere

I think that is the biggest advantage of PDF books
In the toilet, on the queue, in the bus etc
You can easily read on the go

    5. You can also highlight

People said you can’t highlight on hardcopy or make jottings but you can
You can joy on your phone or jot on a notebook
    Look at this.

It’s as highlight from ULTIMATE PURPOSE FINDER
The big deal is that if you open this book after 10 years. The highlight will still be there. Even if you open it on another device!

    Converting PDF into AUDIO BOOK

    let me ask you,
If your phone can be reading the book to you either on the road or in the book or as you’re doing your house chores, will you like it?
You can be sweeping or washing the plates and be reading
You can lie down, play a book and sleep off
When you wake, reverse it to where you were before you slept off

All you need is an app like this. This one is called Epub reader
    There are many like it
Once you download it on your phone, just open a book with it and it starts reading
You can also set the speed and the volume

    TIPS FOR FAST READING

    1. Read for One hour per day.

If you do this, you will read 50 books in a year.

    2. Read at your Prime time

Your prime time is your best time. If you read at this time, you cover many pages quickly and retain better.
    Divide large books into part
Like first 50 or first 5 chapters
When you complete a milestone, there’s joy that comes to your heart and motivated you further .

    3. Set targets

    Put some pressure on yourself
    Like, announce on your status!

I will finish this book before Salah break is over
You can promise a review after you are done or on each chapter
And finally, the promo ends today
I am happy we have an holiday
If you are blessed by this study, let me know
If you find it helpful, tell me

  • BUILDING PERSONAL LEADERSHIP – Pst. Ife ADETONA

BUILDING PERSONAL LEADERSHIP – Pst. Ife ADETONA

We all know that the biggest problem we are facing as a country and even as a continent, Africa is LEADERSHIP. We all believe that if a leadership crisis is solved in Nigeria, the country will be a better place instantly!
That’s why many young people got frustrated over the last election because to them, it is the best opportunity to solve all of Nigeria’s problem once and for all. There was a man who was living illegally in Dubai.
He was owing a lot of debt because if you overstay your visa in Dubai, you pay fine for each day. Someone asked him why didn’t he go back home- to Nigeria, he replied: “when XXX become the president, he will transform the country and I will return”. Unfortunately for him, another person was declared. But whatever made him feel if that person enters his life would change automatically is deceiving him.

My point, WE BELIEVE SO MUCH THAT LEADERSHIP IS OUR BIGGEST PROBLEMThat means LEADERSHIP IS THE SOLUTION TO ALL OUR PROBLEMS. But we focus so much on the society, How about we focus on ourself! I mean on yourself.
Do you know that your biggest problem is PERSONAL LEADERSHIP and your solution is PERSONAL LEADERSHIP? You can be whatever you want to be if you LEAD YOURSELF ALRIGHT. A poor man can change his life just by SELF-LEADERSHIP!There are two types of PERSONAL LEADERSHIP
    1. Interpersonal leadership
    2. Intra-personal leadership
Inter-personal is your connection other people
This is the type we often talk about
But I want to focus on INTRA-PERSONAL LEADERSHIP;this is leadership in relation to yourself

1.It is the lack of personal leadership that leads to an indiscipline lifestyle.

Leadership is all about putting resources to work. As an individual, there are several parts of your body that you lead every day.
You have your head, your hands, your leg…etc
How you coordinate each of them determines the value you will get in life.
Some people find it difficult to WAKE UP DESPITE THE ALARM
at this your age, you still need someone to wake you for SFA by 5:30 am on SADOZ ONLINE PLATFORM? and when you eventually wake, your eyes are opened but your body is telling you that you can’t do anything and you allow it!
You can’t lead your body to do the right thing!
Some of us found it difficult to bathe in holidays? Why? You know it’s right but you can’t lead tour body
Your eyes love to watch movies but hate books
Loves to gossip but dislike praying!
And you cannot lead yourself to do the right thing. That’s how leadership starts
Self-discipline is self-leadership and self-leadership is the bedrock of greatness
You take less out of life if you don’t know how to CARRY YOURSELF to do what’s right!
Ability to do this very well is what is called intra-personal leadership and the failure will result in crisis. A man who is disciplined in putting his body to work as at when due and to do the right thing has a good personal leadership.

    2. It is the lack of intra-personal leadership that makes many people to commit suicide.

Their emotion is gone out of control!
Someone told me how he attempted suicide twice but did not die. He told me his problem
I pieces it and explained to him. He realized it doesn’t worth it
You didn’t learn to put your emotions and mood in check on simple things, you’re creating a disaster for yourself. And it is good personal leadership that makes a man live through trials and shame to emerge a winner.
There is EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION and there is INTRINSIC MOTIVATION
    Extrinsic comes from people
    Intrinsic comes from internal
If you don’t learn to motivate yourself, people will rubbish your potential
You will think they are whom they say you are and then miss it!
You upload a picture of yourself, 99 people said it’s beautiful, 1 person said it’s ugly then you lose your sleep over that one person
What if the 100 persons said it was ugly? What will you do?
Self-leadership includes the ability to live through shames and trials and still emerge a winner!

    3. With a good intra-personal leadership skill, even if you were born into a poor family, you can lead yourself out of poverty.

Many people are doing things that are leading them FURTHER INTO poverty and they don’t care
Pro 6:10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep
When I was heading for the full-time ministry, they told me that I was going to be very poor!
I simply asked: “If I want to be rich as a full-time minister without begging or any crooked means, what do I need to do?”
I got the answer….I am doing them
Tell me, it’s 7years in full time, am I poor?
I strongly believe that a man can lead himself from poverty into prosperity no matter how poor his parents are
    And his or her background
I was born with what you can call wooden or plastic spoon in the mouth and not with a silver spoon.
I have lived in some of the poorest habitations you can imagine but to the glory of God, I’m out of it.
I decided from childhood that when I become independent, I will never live in a room or two room apartments popularly known as Face Me n Face You.
That was where I grew and I know the troubles associated with such households, so I decided never to live in such a place again, not even as a student and the Lord granted my heart desires.
If you currently live in such, just decide from now to be out of it in as manner of time
Most of the richest men in the world never come from rich families. The day I heard the childhood story of Myles Munroe, I said in my heart that even my father who lived in Nigeria was richer than his father.
If he could rise from such background and become the success he is

    Understanding oneself and ones emotions

Understanding oneself and ones emotions; the things to do to have good moods and to come out of bad moods is a product of a good personal leadership.

Many people lack self-awareness and that has affected their self-esteem.

That is an evident of leadership crisis.
You must be aware of your body as well as your internal attributes
If I feel pain in different parts of my head, I can tell you what is wrong and what to do to correct it.
One of the reasons I have never broken down by the grace of God in spite of my many tasks is due to self-awareness.
I know how my body works and how it reacts to activities. I know what to do to manage and prevent crisis and most especially, the time to rest.

4.Lack of discipline is another result of personal leadership crisis.

When you cannot put your body to do the right things and refrain it from doing the wrong thing, it is lack of discipline.
Job said he made a covenant with his eyes not to look lustfully at a lady
Job 31:1 I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
There is a reason the Bible calls one of the fruit of the Spirit, self-control.Self-control is self-leadership.
You need to master your emotions and control your sexual urge.
At this point, you may be asking-

SO HOW CAN I LEAD MYSELF?

First, you have to be specific?
    Lead yourself to do what?
To be hardworking? To be self-disciplined?To control your urges? To pray?Which area exactly?

You need to GO FOR BOOKS

to lead myself from POVERTY into PROSPERITY, do you know what I did?

  • MY ADVICE TO MUSIC MINISTERS 2 – Pst. Ife ADETONA

MY ADVICE TO MUSIC MINISTERS 2 – Pst. Ife ADETONA

I made a post lately where I asked a harmless and sincere question about “talk-singing”. It seems rampant these days that I really felt I was the odd one. I actually told myself: “If people didn’t enjoy it, why is it common? Ife, you are the odd one here.” But people’s comments revealed that many share the same sentiment. We can safely say, 70% of any audience does not enjoy it. And that’s big.

The aim was never to gaslight any person, people or ministry. Anyone could see that. My opinion is mine, it’s not a rule or a verdict on any ministry. Likewise, the opinions of people that commented underneath. Thus far, those opinions are both genuine and sincere. Every profession must get feedback from those it serves in other to improve. That’s why mobile apps chase us around for ratings and comments. If constructive criticism did not build us, what will? Music switches a person to an aura, atmosphere and mood both physically and spiritually. Anything unmusical that comes in breaks that mood and connection, no matter how good be it the word, exhortation, prayer, prophecy and what have you.

This is my counsel. And again, it’s not a law. After all, I don’t know much:
If a person gives you 15-45 minutes of his platform then he wasn’t expecting you to do any other thing than to sing exclusively not exhorting or storytelling. He would call a pastor if he needed that. If the time is given in excess, then you can tactically infuse other properties to fill it up. Remember, I said tactically. We can’t also rule out the fact that people could be led or given dimensions of ministry. However, most of what we see in many fora today is either abuse, excess or misuse.

I hope these few guides would help:

    1. If you want to talk (exhort or tell stories), tell people to take their seats and talk exclusively. Once you start singing, sing exclusively.
    2. If you’re to lead people into prayers, there’s a way the music should go. I have enjoyed a few of them. Lead them into prayer songs exclusively. Don’t break regular songs with prayers and vice versa.
    3. If you are to give words of prophecy, master the timing and the style of music. Don’t take high praise and break it with “the Lord says” or “there’s somebody here” while begging your backup and drummers to lower the sound so people could hear. Be “stylish” with the way you handle it. I mean, be professional. Professional thinks like their customers/audience. They ask: “If am the one in the congregation, how will I love this session to go?”

Above all, you are first a music minister before other offices be it a prophet or teacher. Sorry about that, I may be wrong. But when people see your image on a handbill, what should first come to their minds: a prophet, an exhorter or a music minister? Think about it.

  • REASON THE FIRST SHALL BE THE LAST -Pst. DAMSAM

REASON THE FIRST SHALL BE THE LAST -Pst. DAMSAM

    QUESTION : But sir…..
This where I really don’t get it……sir all of them received the same daily wages….

Sir does it mean both great men of God who laboured endlessly died even for the work of God be paid with the same reward as the people who died on their sick bed giving their life to Christ and probably won maybe 1 or 2 souls to Christ?

    To answer this question

You need to firstly know that the Bible was not written in verses and chapters
It was written in form of scroll
It was during the canonization process that it was broken to chapters and verses
Students in FSB will understand what canonization means, it was taught there
The first word in Matthew 20 : 1 says “FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD………”
It’s wrong for a statement to start like that
If it starts like that it means that there is a previous discussion that preceded it
That will take us to Chapter 19 to look at the discussion that preceded the statement
When you check it, you will find out that the genesis of this discussion was the story of a young rich ruler that came to Jesus with a question

    Matthew 19:16
[16]And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

The question was WHAT CAN I DO TO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE?
But the simple answer Jesus would have given to him was that “Believe in me” according to John 3:16

    John 3:16
[16]For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH in him should not perish, but have EVERLASTING LIFE(ETERNAL LIFE)

But if Jesus only told him to believe in Him
    The man won’t understand
So,, therefore used another way to teach him TRUST/BELIEVING IN HIM as a means of gaining eternal life by asking him to KEEP HIS COMMANDMENT

    Matthew 19:17
[17]And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

But the man didn’t get him right, he was saying another thing else
So, Jesus used another word to explain BELIEVE IN ME which is GIVE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE OUT AND FOLLOW ME

    Matthew 19:21
[21]Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

    Nonetheless
The man wasn’t ready to leave all and believe that FOLLOWING JESUS will take him to heaven because their custom back then was that you gain God’s attention by giving out what you have
So, Jesus explained this scenario further with a parable of. Workers in the vineyard
Their agreement stated that COME AND WORK and you will get this amount for SERVICE

Note: the number of hours spent on their service wasn’t included in their contractual agreement

The agreement was that Work and I will pay you a penny

So on the day of payment

What they didn’t bargain for was what caused hiccups which were the numbers of hours they have spent in the labour

The numbers of hours spent is liken to their own selfish interest which wasn’t bargained for with the master and the set of people having this problem are the first timers, the last timer are not having that mind set
    The agreement was

Come and work for me( Believe in me ) and be paid(Have eternal life) not work for 2hours( Believe in me for long years ) and have more rank in heaven

That’s why Jesus said The first shall be the last and the last shall be the first in this context
To buttress this point, look at how Titus put it

    Titus 3:5
    [5]Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
What this verse means is that we are saved not by doing some giving or self work but we are a candidate of heaven by His grace
    Now to balance it
Being a citizen of a country doesn’t mean that everyone is equal in that state

I am a citizen of Nigeria
Buhari is also a citizen of Nigeria

But we are not in the same rank
I am greater than him 😂

What ranks you higher in the kingdom of God is the work you do IN HIS VINEYARD, Which we call SERVICE

    Revelation 22:12
[12]And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

    Don’t be confused

The work Jesus addressed when He said The first shall be the last is called SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS and it’s. PRE-SALVATION work but the work that will give you rank in the kingdom is call SERVICE

This is the work that Jesus commanded us to do, which is to make disciples

This is then subdivided into 3 types and 3 dimensions

    DIMENSIONS OF SERVICE

    1. Physical : This deals with engaging in a department church
    2. Spiritual : This deals with the classes of service and using your spiritual prowess to expand the kingdom of God
    3. Financial : Using your money to propagate the kingdom

    TYPES/CLASSES OF SERVICE

    1. Soul Calling
    2. Soul Winning
    3. Soul Teaching

    Are you enlightened?

  • SELECTIVE ANGER – Pst. Ife ADETONA

SELECTIVE ANGER – Pst. Ife ADETONA

Imagine not being able to submit your assignment and you had to go to meet the lecturer in his office in a Nigerian higher institution setting. If the lecturer cusses at you or abuses you or insults you and even curses you in some cases, all you would say in return is ‘sorry sir’. Even if you had a genuine excuse and he doesn’t care to listen, all you will continue to do is to apologize. You are not going to be tempted to get angry, isn’t it? When he eventually collects the sheet from you, you will be full of thanks and rejoice that he didn’t reject you outrightly.

Forget about that first scene and imagine this scenario. Your parents gave you a task to do and you haven’t done it. Your parents were about to return and your younger sibling decided to chastise you by calling your attention to the fact that you haven’t done what was expected of you. In the process, he cusses at you and even insults you. The thing he says is not as much as that of the lecturer but he says some things. What is your reaction going to be?
I am sure, you are already fuming about how you will talk angrily at your younger sibling and even flog him. Even if he was your older sibling, you may not beat him but I am sure that you will not spare words. Again, I am talking about a typical Nigerian or African setting.

What we have in the scenarios I painted is what I tag, SELECTIVE ANGER and that is what most people do. A lot of people get angry but they control their anger when it is coming from other quarters. The same words their lecturers said and they didn’t flare up, their parents or siblings didn’t say up to that and they displayed bursts of anger. You didn’t get angry at your lecturer because you know that YOU DON’T HAVE A RIGHT TO DO SO. If the settings change and you are in a private university or in a country where the law clearly defends your human rights, I am sure that you would have reacted angrily to the lecturer but you were restricted because you know you dont have a right to get angry in that case.

To be free from anger, you have to first let go of that FEELING OF ENTITLEMENT. You have to know that you do not have any right to be angry. That is the way I live. I believe it is not in my right to be angry at people. I can talk on issues or address matters but the person involved has all my love and not my fury.

In clear terms, people dont have uncontrollable anger, what they have is selective anger.

  • SELECTIVE ANGER – Pst.Ife ADETONA

    SELECTIVE ANGER – Pst.Ife ADETONA

Many think their anger is a result of a demonic influence. Let me agree with you for a moment that you have the spirit of anger in you. Imagine this scenario: you are driving on a highway and someone bashes you from behind. This activated the spirit of anger in you and you jumped down with the intent of giving the erring driver a piece of your mind and possibly fists too. To your amazement, you meet a soldier in the car. Would you still go ahead with your anger spirit? In the typical Nigerian or African scenario, you would rather apologize to the army officer and say to him: “I am sorry for hitting your car” You would even promise to repair it.

Take a look at the mad man of Gadarenes who was very violent and couldn’t be tamed or held with iron fetters. That was a man with a certified and verified spirit of anger. If a spirit of anger is controlling you indeed then you shouldn’t bow when you see a soldier or a higher threat, but if you could bow to the army officer, that means you are the one controlling the spirit and not the other way round. If you can put your anger into check in that situation, that means you have been lying to us that it was some power influencing you.

In case you feel you need prayer over some spirit of anger, then I can help you with this prayer.

“In the name of Jesus, if I refuse to put my anger to check, may that anger bring me before a man that will give me a sound beating that I will never forget in my life in Jesus Name. May that beating encounter leave me a changed person for life!”

Did I just hear you say, Amen? Then, say it louder.

In reality, I do believe there’s an evil spirit of anger, but remove the excuse of “I have spirit of anger” and the spirit will have nothing to attach itself to.

  • HOW TO COMMAND RESULT IN PRAYER – Pst. Damsam

HOW TO COMMAND RESULT IN PRAYER – Pst. Damsam

Lord Jesus we are here at your feet again
Teach us Your word again in Jesus name
And tonight we shall be looking at COMMANDING RESULT IN PRAYER
So many times whenever we are asked to define prayer
What we use to say is that. PRAYER IS A MEANS OF COMMUNICATION WITH GOD
That definition may be right but it is not absolutely correct
    Prayer is more than that
    Prayer concept is very wide
    Prayer is a system
    Put it this way
It is a system of interaction between the celestial and the terrestial
What I mean by it is a system is that there are many things to know about it

    It is complex
    Ephesians 6:18
    [18]Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Paul says pray with ALL PRAYERS

which means that we have diverse kinds of prayer
If you say that PRAYER IS ALL ABOUT COMMUNICATING WITH GOD

    What can you call this:

    Acts 16:18
[18]And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
What Paul did here is that He prayed
But we see prayer here as a command
    Acts 3:6
[6]Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
What about Peter at the beautiful gate?

    He prayed too?

But did he pray to God ?

No, But he rather healed him

Here, we see prayer as Healing
What about Paul praying for the Philippians?
    Philippians 4:19
[19]But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Here prayer is seem as a blessing
Let me give us one more example
    Acts 9:4-6
[4]And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
[5]And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
[6]And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
Here prayer is seen as a communion
    Paul and Jesus was communicating
Another understanding you must have is that there are dispensational prayer system

    DISPENSATIONAL PRAYER SYSTEM

    1. Pre – Jesus prayer system
    2. Peri- Jesus prayer system
    3. Post Jesus prayer system
The Prayer system before Jesus was that they pray to God through mediums which are priests, prophets …..
But the prayer system during Jesus was the pattern Jesus gave them which we call LORD’S PRAYER
The post Jesus prayer system is the one we are using which must be done in the NAME OF JESUS
Now the prayer system Jesus gave us while He was on earth is a guide for us to are in this dispemsation

The prayer model is divided into 3, which are:
    1. Giving thanks
    2. Pray for the kingdom
    3. Pray for your personal needs
    Matthew 6:9-13

    THANKSGIVING

[9]After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

    KINGDOM PRAYERS

[10]Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

    PERSONAL NEEDS

[11]Give us this day our daily bread.
[12]And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
[13]And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

We’ve dwell much on the importance of the KINGDOM PRAYER. and how we can harness it for our spiritual growth in the first part of this teaching

So, tonight we shall be looking at HOW TO GET RESULT IN PRAYER I.e our personal need
Some people are no more praying and are not fervent in their prayer life because they are praying and are not getting result
They conclude that what will be will be
So, they have decided that to pray to God is not a way out of their request but rather to look for another way outside God
But the reason they are not getting result is that they are not approaching God base on His terms and conditions of prayer
If you you are using MTN mobile network and you want to check your account balance and you dial *124#, are you going to get the result you desire?
    ????
    Of course No
Because that’s not MTN code of checking account balance
The same thing is with God
You have to approach Him base on His terms and conditions of prayer
    Hebrews 11:6
[6]But without faith it is impossible to please him: for HE that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of THEM that diligently seek him.
Read this verse of the bible again and again

You will see HE and THEM
He is the person that just want to pray
Them are those that have prayed and they got result
So, “He” must know them and understand the button that “THEM” pressed that made them got the result they got when they prayed

HOW TO COMMAND RESULT IN PRAYER

    1. Know your prayer point/ Have a desire

    Mark 11:24
[24]Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
It won’t surprise you to know that some people are praying without having a prayer point
    Some are praying
They have a prayer point but they are not specific
Lord I want you to give me a car is a prayer point but not a specific one
    God give me money

How much do you want ?

Ok, if God give you 2,000# when you need 100,000# is it not money
    You have to be specific
Jesus says WHAT THINGS SOEVER YE DESIRE
So, you need to create a desire

    2. KNOW HIS WILL

    What is a will?
A will is a legal term, another word we can use for it is TESTAMENT
A will is a written document written by a testator to state and share the properties of his children
    1 John 5:14
[14]And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to *his will* he heareth us:
According to this verse of the Bible

Jesus is the one who left a will for us

And what’s that will? THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENT
So, if you must get your desire
You must be able to present it in His will for you before it can be yours.

    3. BELIEVE

You must believe that because the word of God has said it, it has been given to you already
Look at how NLT put this verse
    Mark 11
    24. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
If you believe that you have RECEIVED IT
It’s not if you believe that YOU WILL RECEIVE IT

bUt you must believe that it is yours already before it will be delivered to you
    Ephesians 1:3
[3]Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
That your request is a spiritual blessing since you can get a word for it in the Bible ready
So God has blessed you with it all
All you just need to do is to claim it while you pray
You don’t beg God for it
    You rather claim your blessing
And the last step is SAY IT

    4. SAY IT

This is further divided into praying the prayer and CDA+
    Romans 10:10
[10]For with the heart man *believeth* unto righteousness; and with the mouth *confession* is made unto salvation.
This verse has been shrunk to salvation messages alone
    But it is beyond that
When you believe with your heart
You must say what you believe
Because out if the abundance of the mouth , the mouth speakth
So, the first stage of speaking is that you pray
And after praying you begin to use CDA+ to get the work done
What is CDA+ is a revelation God gave to my father and the house of SADOZ

    which means
    C – Confess
    D- Declare
    A – Announce
    + – Imagination
