  • WHY TONGUES?

    WHY TONGUES?

In the previous part of this series, I explained that what you need is not Prayer nor fasting to be baptized in the Holy Ghost. Rather, what you need is Knowledge. Before we proceed, I would like you to know the benefits of Speaking in tongues.

    1. CHARGE

1 Corinthians 14:4 – “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.”

In Greek, the Word ‘edifieth’ as used in the verse quoted means “oikodomeō” which means to “charge”. When we speaks in tongues, what we are doing is that we are charging ourselves. The more we charge ourselves, the more electricified we are. The more electricified we are, the more we are on fire for God; and the more we are on fire for God, the more we are unstoppable and untouchable to the enemy.

    1. MOST HOLY PLACE

Jude 1:20 – “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.”

When we read this verse of the scripture very well, we’ll see that we are admonished to build up ourselves on our most Holy Faith. This tells us that there is “The Holy Faith”, “The More Holy Faith” and “The Most Holy Faith”.

For us to really get the meaning of this ‘Most Holy Faith’, we need to go back to the Old testament(OT) system of the temple. In the OT, there was “The Holy Place”, “The Holier place” and “The Holiest place/The Most Holy Place”. It was in the Most Holy place that the Priest would make the atonement because that place signified the Presence of God.

In the same vein, we need to attain the presence of God by Faith; and it takes the “Most Holy Faith” to get to the “Most Holy Place”. That is attained by praying in the Holy Ghost

    1. INTERCESSION

Roman 8:26(Amplified) – “In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words.”

Romans 8:34 – “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”

When you pray in tongues, what you’re doing is that you’re engaging the Spirit of Jesus in prayer. Jesus is at he right side of the Father for over 2000 years ago praying. He never ceases from praying neither is He tired.

When you also pray in tongues, you’re leveraging on this Divine ability to reign in the place of prayer and to pray the mind of the Father.

    1. WORLD BELIEVERS PRAYER CHAIN

Ephesians 6:18 – “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

We are to make supplication for all saints in the Spirit which simplified means praying in tongues. When you read this verse of the scripture, some questions should run through your mind, like:

    • Do I know all the saints?

    • How can I know their needs?

    • What about their names?

    • is this possible at all?

Oh Yes! It is possible! The only possible platform that the Lord provided is that as you pray in the HOLY GHOST, you would just be tuned to pray in the Spirit. Although, you are just praying in the Spirit, you may be praying for a believer in India. A believer in India may be tuned to be praying for your own need as wel. Therefore, there is a supplication chain for all believers in the Spirit realm because we are all One Body.

    1. GOD’S GIST PARTNER

There’s a mystery in the language we use to communicate as mortal or Immortal men.

As a mortal man, when I was serving in Imo State (An Igbo Speaking State), I was in market on that day, communicating in English with the woman. The discussion had glitches because of language barrier. She didn’t really understand me. But immediately I got to know that the woman understood Yoruba(My own mother tongue), we began gisting spent more time in discussing so many things together. She even gave me goods more than I paid for.

If I may ask, what made me and the woman talk for longer time and compliment each other? I communicated with her in her tongue. That’s the mystery of praying in tongues too. God’s mother tongue😄 is TONGUES. It’s the language of the Immortal. It’s the language of the supernatural.

    It’s the language of God.

When you pray in tongues, you Catch God’s attention.

When you pray in tongues, you become God’s best friend.

When you pray in tongues, you become God’s gist partner.

    God speaks to you.

He gives you heavenly inspired ideas.

He will be happy to dispense alot to you.

Can you pause a little bit and roar in tongues?

    Ashabakataliadorodonsa🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

    Pray!

    Pray!!

    Pray!!!

These are only few out of all the benefit of tongues.

See ya in the next series as I open our eyes to he different levels of tongues.

Are you blessed by this part? Type a tongues to acknowledge this post.

  • TONGUES

    TONGUES

In my short span of living as a christian, I’ve found so many people that are confused about the concept of Speaking in tongues. Therefore, the Holy Spirit has laid this in my heart to start a series that would address this issue and I can boldly state that the help of those in need of this has come.

Let me start by sharing a story of when I was about to be initiated into this experience. That was in 2013 when I gained admission into the higher institution. Before then, I used to hear people speak in other tongues in my local assembly but I never took it serious. I believed it was the elders of the church that only operated in this dimension.

However, moving on, it was like a movie when I got to the higher institution and I saw my mates, even those that were not up to me in age operate in different dimensions of the Holy Spirit.

Most of the time, I even heard these ones coming to the altar professing how the Holy Spirit walked to them and they spoke together for a long time. My next action would be to put my two hands on my head and open my mouth wide to ask: “What about me?”

I didn’t just keep asking the question but I also took action and the action I took was that I prepared myself to fast and pray for “the gift of speaking in tongues”. 😄

So every Wednesday, I did have an appointment with the Lord on the prayer Mountain that was in front of my school. I would pray, pray and sleep and wake up without speaking in tongues.

In one of our Semester breaks, when I got back to my local church, it collided with the time we were treating the concept of Speaking in tongues. We were taught that it’s not for everybody and that God gives it to those He wishes. I almost lost my faith thinking that maybe it was not for me.

Coincidentally, I met with one of my friend Abiodun Olawumi of the blessed memory with a book in his hand titled “The Communion Of Holy Spirit ” written by Pastor Ife ADETONA. This was the first book I ever read from the first page to the last.

What really attracted me from the pages was on the content page where I saw “Baptism of Holy Ghost”. I tell you that reading the book alone, I got baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

It was after this experience that I realized that what I needed was not fasting or prayer in other to be baptized in the Holy Ghost, what I really needed was knowledge. Afterwards, the Lord commissioned me to teach the word of God and to baptize people in the Holy Ghost and this is the aim of this series.

I’ll be impacting you with the knowledge you need to be baptized in the Holy Ghost and every other necessary things you need to know about the concept of tongues.

Are you ready to be imparted? Let me know by typing KNOWLEDGE.

  • THE BLOOD 2( The Ultimate Price for Redemption)

THE BLOOD 2( The Ultimate Price for Redemption)

    You’re welcome to Healingnexusblog again.

We are still on our YESHUA series. And today, we shall be considering The Mystery of Redemption.

    THE INNOCENT LAMB
God’s standard for redemption has stood sure since the beginning of the world and the standard is that without remission of blood, there is no covering for sin. When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden, they both used fig leaves as a covering for themselves but that alone could not cover their sins, God Himself had to kill an innocent lamb and use its skin to cover their nakedness.

    Genesis 3:21
[21]Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

The innocent lamb was a typology of the blood of Jesus that was shed for our sins; even when He knew no sin, He died for us.

    CAIN AND ABEL
What about the case of Cain and Abel? God had to receive the sacrifice of Abel and reject that of Cain because Abel’s sacrifice came through the path of the blood of an innocent sheep meanwhile that of Cain was just tilled from the ground.

    Genesis 4:2-4
[2]And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
[3]And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.
[4]And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

    THE MYSTERY OF REDEMPTION

    1. Change in Family Lineage
    2. Transfer of ownership
    3. Change in Kingdom
    4. Rescue from Curse of law
    1. CHANGE IN FAMILY LINEAGE
      Romans 8:29
[29]For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

After we accepted the work of Christ via the blood, what happened in the Spirit realm was that we had the very gene of Jesus. We now have His blood running in us, whatever that is happening to the family we belonged to by blood is not permitted to happen to us again, because we are now in the family of Jesus. Generational curses, sickness, failure and whatnot are blood related, and if we cannot find it in Jesus, then we are not permitted to operate in it.

One of Jesus’ disciples told Jesus that His family members were calling Him and Jesus replied by saying that His actual family members are those that have been saved, i.e., they belong to the family of God (and family is a group of people that are blood related).

    Matthew 12:46-50
[46]While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
[47]Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
[48]But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
[49]And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
[50]For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

    1. TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP
At the point of salvation, there is a divine exchange that happens. Jesus paid our ransom to the devil and rescued us from its coven, so we have no business with the devil again neither can it have any authority on us again.
Consider a rice seller, when he sells the rice to you, can he tell you what you are to use the rice to cook, whether it is in fried, jollof or white form? No… Because the rice doesn’t belong to the seller again. Before salvation, we belonged to the devil then he had final say over our lives. It (the devil) can determine to inflict you with sickness today and affliction tomorrow but we now belong to a good Father after salvation, this was possible through the payment of the Blood.
    2. CHANGE IN KINGDOM
    3. the Local Government Chairman of a territory speak any how to the National president? Did I hear you say No? Correct.
    4. The chairman dares not speak anyhow to the president, because the president has more authority than he does. Same thing for us as believers, we are seated with Christ in the heavenly places. We are both at the ‘presidency’ seat, no demon or devil that’s under us can dare afflict us with anything in their kingdom.

    Colossians 1:13
[13]Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

These are the mysteries of redemption…The knowledge of these will make you reign over the devil and his cohort.

  • KABOD

    KABOD

Welcome to Healing Nexus. Still on unlocking the healing prowess in us, today we are treating KABOD.

Kabod is a Hebrew word which means ‘Glory‘. The reason why our God is a jealous God is that He won’t and doesn’t even like to share His Glory with anyone. The reason why He created you in His image and likeness is because of His glory. God will stop functioning as God the moment He starts sharing His glory with any man. The reason why He detests the proud is because pride is a way of sharing out of God’s glory and humility is a way of returning the glory to Him.

    Revelation 4:11
[11]Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

The reason why He created you in His image and likeness is because of His glory

    James 4:6
[6]But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

    Daddy G. O.’s Encounter.
Pastor E. A. Adeboye (The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God) narrated his encounter with God. He said that God told him to use his finger to draw a man on the ground and after he did that, God told him to wipe it off again. Then He told him afterwards that that was how He would wipe him away anyday he starts sharing His glory with Him. That’s why you will see this man of God kneeling down for several hours as a sign of homage to God and that is why the miraculous flows at ease with him, he heals the sick without stress and this is because he doesn’t share in God’s Glory.

The reason why He detests the proud is because pride is a way of sharing out of God’s glory and humility is a way of returning the glory to Him.

LOOK ON US vs WHY LOOK ON US
Last week, we discussed Faith as a major tool of unlocking God’s ability in us and I opened our eyes to the words of Peter and John at the beautiful gate. See how Peter stated his word:

    Acts 3:4
[4]And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, LOOK ON US.

But Peter understands that allowing God to step in via faith is different from giving Him glory. The event after the healing of the man tells us that he was conscious of God’s glory. See this again:

    Acts 3:4,12
[4]And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
[12]And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or WHY LOOK SO EARNESTLY ON US, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

    MY EXPERIENCE
Whenever I want to minister healing, I do have this at the back of my mind, that I’m not the Healer; I’m just a channel. Even when I’m engrossed with compassion, I always tell myself that God is the Healer, I’m only ministering healing to that person to the glory of God. Most of the time when I minister healing via this revelation, I always see God work special healings. And I’ve always seen so many people crying for the healing anointing for their glory’s sake and that is why so many people do not enter into that reality.

God’s Glory is like a poison, it will kill you if you take it in.

    Malachi 2:2
[2]If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.

God’s Glory is like a poison, it will kill you if you take it in.

Can you confess that “I’ll never take His glory, but rather, give Him His Glory” in the comment box?

  • THE BLOOD [The Ultimate Price for Redemption]

THE BLOOD [The Ultimate Price for Redemption]

    Ephesians 1:7
    [7]In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

To understand the nitty-gritty of the blood, you must first have a glimpse of what redemption is all about.

Redemption is a process of rescuing a captive from the hands of a captor through the payment of a ransom. This definition contains certain words which must be perfectly understood, they are:

    1. Captive: This is the person that was held bound. He is the one that did something wrong and was captured by the tormentor so as to be dealt with. In actual sense, this is talking about the human race.
    2. Captor: This is the party that is dealing with the captive. He is saddled with the responsibility of punishing the offender i.e., the human race and the captor is no other person than the devil.
    3. Redeemer: This is the person that comes to deliver the captive from the hand of his oppressor. He is the only Man that can give freedom to the oppressed via the payment of a certain amount of money called RANSOM.
    4. Ransom: This is a certain amount paid to free the captive from the hands of his oppressor.

The Redeemer is Jesus and the Ransom He paid was His BLOOD. The blood of Jesus is the payment that was made in the realm of the spirit to release us from the coven of darkness.

The blood of Jesus is the payment that was made in the realm of the spirit to release us from the coven of darkness.

Our God is a God of standard and His standard is ever true — that without the shedding of blood, sin can never be remitted. Adam put the whole world into sin and this sin would only be remitted by an exchange rate.

    Hebrews 9:22
[22]And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Blood is a spiritual medium of exchange, it allows transactions to be made in the realm of the spirit. When Man had this understanding, he began to seek for remission of his sins yearly by sacrificing the blood of goats, bulls, sheep, lambs etc. But the limitation of these was that it could not last for more than a year which implies that a goat’s blood can only pay a debt for a year in the realm of spirit, it’s blood is not everlasting for debt payment. Neither can man’s blood remit sins for long because even in man’s blood, there is sin.

    Hebrews 10:4
[4]For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

Blood is a spiritual medium of exchange, it allows transactions to be made in the realm of the spirit.

But God in His mercies broke the law of nature by sending His only begotten Son to bring an undiluted blood into this world in order to remit the sins of the whole world.

HOW DID GOD BREAK THE LAW OF NATURE?
Science believes that a foetus carries the blood of his father in the mother. The mother doesn’t even give any percentage in the whole blood to the child. But we should ask ourselves, “then who mated with Mary to birth Jesus?” Nobody you say? Correct! The Bible makes us to understand that it was the Holy Spirit that came upon Mary, therefore the blood Jesus carries is not from this world. It is pure and it’s the only one that has the potency to pay all the debts once and for all.
    Luke 1:35
[35]And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

    John 3:16
[16]For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The only thing that you need to do to have access to this price that has been paid by Jesus is believing and confessing. It’s this process of believing in Jesus and confessing Him that’s called being Born Again.
    Romans 10:9-10
[9]That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
[10]For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

If you’re not born twice, you’ll die twice.

Are you born again? Then acknowledge in the comment box by typing, I HAVE BEEN REDEEMED BY THE BLOOD.

  • UNLOCKING THE HEALING POWER IN YOU: FAITH

UNLOCKING THE HEALING POWER IN YOU: FAITH

Hello Dear Reader, You’re welcome again this week to this blog. Hope you’ve been enjoying this series so far. Today, we are considering the subject of Faith.WATCH OUT!!!!

To understand this concept very well, we need to first understand the fact that we have different types of faith in the Bible which are:

     1. Saving Faith
    2. Receiving/Living Faith
    3. Fruit of Faith
    4. Gift of Faith

    SAVING FAITH
    Ephesians 2:8
[8]For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

This is the type of Faith that brings us to the family of Christ. It’s simply believing in the birth, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    2. LIVING FAITH
    Hebrews 10:38
[38]Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in

This is the type of Faith we use in carrying out daily activities.

    3. FRUIT OF FAITH
This is the type of Faith that’s called faithfulness in the list of the fruit of the Spirit.
    Galatians 5:22
[22]But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

    4. GIFT OF FAITH
This is the type of Faith that’s classified as part of the power Gifts in the list of the gifts of the Spirit.
    1 Corinthians 12:9
    [9]To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

It’s this gift of Faith that is responsible for the healing operation, it helps to either minister or receive healing.

It was in operation in the live of the woman with the issue of blood, for Jesus Himself testified about it.

    Mark 5:34
[34]And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

It was also this Faith that was at work in the story of Peter and John at the beautiful gate. Peter when he was full of faith told the man that he should look on them because he’s having the ability to heal the sick and after that the lame man was leaping for joy.

    MY EXPERIENCE
I was about to sleep one night when I received a call from one of my friends and she told me that she was having excruciating tooth pain and that I should pray with her. I was down and not feeling any urge to pray but then, the Faith in whom(Jesus) I carry welled up in me and I prayed with her. And the following day when I called her, she was full of joy and she testified that she was planning to go to the hospital before but she’s no more going.

You have to believe that you carry the life of God and you can transmit it anyday anytime, the only thing you need is to believe.

    John 14:12
[12]Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Jesus says you’ll do greater works of healing among others but the only requirement is to believe. If you believe you can do the work of Jesus and beyond type ‘I BELIEVE’ .

  • YESHUA: The mystery of salvation simplified.

YESHUA: The mystery of salvation simplified.

Yeaaah! Our topic today is one of the names of God and it means SALVATION. And let me shock you by telling you that the name Joshua also means Salvation.

Today, I’ll be taking you through the concept of Salvation. Let me start by telling you that Salvation is God’s plan and strategy of bringing men back to Himself; this system of reconciliation was made available through what we call Grace.

    Titus 2:11
[11]For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
    Ephesians 2:8
[8]For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

    WAEC vs JAMB
In Nigeria, before you gain admission into tertiary institution, you must pass WAEC and JAMB but Jesus came and give you admission into tertiary institution without writing any of the exams. You didn’t work for this scholarship neither did you qualify for it, this scholarship typifies Grace…. For you are saved (Admitted) by Grace(Scholarship) through Faith not of works (JAMB/WAEC).

    AFTER ADMISSION
The fact that you’re admitted doesn’t mean that you can’t be sent out of the school again, after admission you’re expected to be a student and to continue to be a student by attending classes, writing exams etc and when you’re diligent in this, then you’ll be counted among those that will be graduating.

    DIMENSIONS OF SALVATION
There are 3 Dimensions of Salvation explained in the analogy given above:

    1. Justification (Point of gaining admission).
    2. Santification (Obeying all the school rules and regulations).
    3. Glorification (The graduation).

These Dimensions are further explained in Titus 2:11-13

    Titus 2:11-13
[11]For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,[JUSTIFICATION]

[12]Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; [SANTIFICATION]

[13]Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; [GLORIFICATION].

The moment you are admitted, the school authority sees you as a potential graduand but you are the determiner of your graduation. Can you confess this: I will work in alignment with the Holy Spirit to keep myself till the end?

  • CHRISTMAS CONTROVERSY

    CHRISTMAS CONTROVERSY

    Timothy 1:4″

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do”

Should we celebrate Christmas? Merry Christmas to you! I can’t imagine believers and even Christian leaders causing a fuss over this matter. When we leave the core of Christianity and pursue the unnecessary doctrines, we tend to veer from the truth like some people who are now with the devil, fallen from grace.

If I celebrate Christmas, what effect does it have on my Christianity and if I don’t, what effect does it have on my faith? Nothing and absolutely nothing. Some laid claims that the Christmas celebration is idolatry and it was in memory of some Roman gods. I want to ask: when you hear Christmas, what comes to your mind —Jesus’ sacrifice or some unknown gods? Whatever comes to your mind is the reason and motivation behind your celebration. When you have a clear conscience, you are at peace with God. God doesn’t have issues with you celebrating Christmas or not, but you start having issues with your faith when you get distracted by such fables.

Some have also asked, “Do we need a special day to recognize Jesus birth?” I agree that we can celebrate and should celebrate Jesus every day of our lives but let me register it to you that Satan is having issues with Christmas celebration and that is why he is sponsoring so many arguments along the line. Forgetfulness, they say, is a blessing to the human race and we don’t forget things suddenly but gradually. It is the importance of a thing that first fades away before the event is entirely forgotten, thus the need for memorials to refresh our minds. God told the Israelite pilgrims en route Canaan land to keep objects and materials as reminders in teaching their unborn generations. This will make them reverence their God. I believe that is the wisdom behind museums today. Jesus also instructed us to keep the Holy Communion mainly as a memorial before other purposes.

Back to Christmas celebration, it is a period where the sacrifice of Jesus is refreshed upon our minds. It is our memorial. No matter how holy or spiritual you have been all the year, when it is Christmas, there is an aura that brings us more into the reality of our Saviour.

Let’s celebrate our Christmas, let it be a period to re-unite with family members, friends, relations and reach out to the unsaved and unbelieving neighbours as we go on to remember the precious sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ.

However, if you haven’t experienced salvation and you claim to celebrate Christmas, even if your name is Jeremiah, you have no portion in the everlasting life. You don’t get born again by birth or naturalization, you get saved by seeing a need and going for it. You can have it now.

Say this prayer, _”Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and personal Saviour today. I believe in your death and resurrection and sacrifice for my sins. I receive the grace to continue in my walk of faith in Jesus name.”_ Contact the source of this devotional for follow up. Thank you.

May the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you!

  • WHY TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL?

WHY TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL?

I’ve met so many people with this question bothering them. They ask, “Why did God plant the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden, when He knew that man may be tempted to eat out of it?”

Are you also bothered by the same question? Then here’s the answer:

    1. God planted the tree in the garden so as to stir up the ability to make choices. Don’t forget that the ability is resident in man already and God created man in His image (Spirit) and one of the attributes of the image of God is the ability to make choices as He wills. So God created alternatives so as to stir up this ability in man.

    2. God created the tree so as allow Adam and Eve prove that they were obedient to Him. The only way to prove obedience is when there’s an opportunity to disobey and one refuses.

    3. The last reason is so that the devil would not say that God does not give man the ability to make choices.I

    LOST SHEEP vs PRODIGAL SON

The question I want us to treat today is this: Why did the Shepherd look for the lost sheep and the Father didn’t look for the prodigal son?

The reason is MATURITY. Sheep signifies a child and a son is mature. A child can’t make decisions but a son is independent in his decision-making.

The Sheep was deceived and so should be looked after but the son made his decision himself and of course, he’s mature.

Though his sense was not alright while making the decision when he came back to his senses, he went back to the Father and the Father received him, and that’s LOVE.

Both Parables are centred on the Love of the Father.
