LOST SHEEP vs. PRODIGAL SON

LOST SHEEP vs PRODIGAL SON

The question I want us to treat today is this: Why did the Shepherd look for the lost sheep and the Father didn’t look for the prodigal son?

The reason is MATURITY. Sheep signifies a child and a son is mature. A child can’t make decisions but a son is independent in his decision-making.

The Sheep was deceived and so should be looked after but the son made his decision himself and of course, he’s mature.

Though his sense was not alright while making the decision when he came back to his senses, he went back to the Father and the Father received him, and that’s LOVE.

Both Parables are centred on the Love of the Father.
