    There’s power in confessing the word of God, the Lord admonish the people of Israel to always speaks the word while sitting, walking, lying down and rising up, He even admonished them to put it upon their gates, God ask them to do this because it is their biggest secret of Divine health.

    Deuteronomy 11:19-20
    [19]And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
    [20]And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:

    So, don’t just read these Scriptures alone, think into it and always make it confession as a lifestyle.

Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly]considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.     1. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” Galatians 3:13 NKJV

    THE MYSTERY OF NAME[Part 4]

    Welcome to Healing Nexus.

    Still on the series of name, the name of a person is an adjective that qualifies the attributes of that person. It depicts one’s personality. Whenever a person’s name is called, the person’s himself is called to appear in that place. And that’s what is called incarnation: it means giving something a body form.

    I remember when I wanted to take my admission into the higher institution, I was to fill a form which bears my name and the form was sent through the institution website with all the necessary credentials that were needed. Note that we might be many that would send the same information but what will bring me in front of the Registrar and single me out of other applicants is the name that I bear. So this means that the name that I bear is equal to me in person and all the features that accompany me.

    David with this understanding
    David had this understanding and he used it to access his help from God. In the one hundred and twenty first chapter of the book of Psalm, he said His help shall come from God and he repeated it in the next three chapters substituting the name of God for God Himself.

    Psalms 121:2
    [2]My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

    Psalms 124:8
    [8]Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

    It’s this understanding that always makes him to get help from God everytime he needs it.

    The name of Jesus
    The name of Jesus is equals to Jesus Himself, the name is equal to all the anointing on Jesus, the name of Jesus is equal to the healing power of Jesus, the name is the almighty formula for all believers because we serve the Almighty God. Before Jesus left this world, He promised us His presence anywhere we gather together and call upon His name. As Jesus left this world He metamorphosed from a human being (Spirit+Soul+Body) to a person (Spirit+Soul), and for any spirit to operate in this world, it must be in a body. And that’s why Jesus gave us His name as a portal for Him to move freely between the earthly and heavenly realm.

    Matthew 18:20
    [20]For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
    And whenever He shows, He appears with anointing and breaks every yokes. And it’s the healing anointing of Jesus that Peter and John partnered with to heal the man at the beautiful gate.
    Acts 3:6
    [6]Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH rise up and walk.
    When the name of Jesus was called, Jesus appeared in the scene and healed the man.

    The name has been given to us too today as a key to always unlock the supernatural.

    Mark 16:17-18
    [17]And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
    [18]They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

    Believing in the name of Jesus grant you the legal access of healing any sick that comes across your way and living a healthy life.

    There’s a popular question in the mind of all Bible believers and the question is WHO MADE JOB SICK? God or Devil?

    Let me inform you that God was not the one who afflicted Job with sickness! Here is how it went:

    A. Devil made Job sick,
    B. Job permitted it,
    C. God healed him.

    Here are the biblical references:
    DEVIL MADE JOB SICK
    Job 2:7 – “So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown”.

    JOB ALLOWED IT BY NEGATIVE THOUGHT/FEAR
    Job 3:25 – “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.”

    GOD HEALED HIM
    Job 42:10 – “And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before”.

    Now let me ask you this: If you are a father and your son offends you, can you use a blade used by a HIV positive patient to cut him? I know your answer is NO! Also, GOD is saying He will not make you sick!

    Can you type this: GOD WON’T CAUSE ME TO FALL SICK.

    THE MYSTERY OF NAME [ Part 2]
    (Naming Ceremony)

    Welcome to Healing Nexus.

    We are still on the Mystery of Name series. Last week we considered the Anointing which is in us that makes us to be called Christians.

    We are considering the naming ceremony today. A name can still be seen as what a person is addressed or identified as. I have been to many naming ceremonies and whenever the Pastor or the minister in charge wants to give a name to the baby, the minister would always say these words, “And the baby shall be CALLED…” And whatsoever ever name that was mentioned that day will be the name the baby bears throughout his/her stay on earth.

    God naming Ceremony.
    The first naming ceremony was done by God Himself in the book of Genesis. Every manufacturer has problems he wants to solve before he manufactures anything, and after the manufacturing process is done, he would then look for a name it will be bear and give it a name.

    God is the master manufacturer and in the account of creation, as He created any thing, He gave name to it immediately by calling it by it’s name.

    Genesis 1:5,8,10

    [5]And God CALLED the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
    [8]And God CALLED the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
    [10]And God CALLED the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

    Isaiah Naming Ceremony.
    We can see in the prophecy of Prophet Isaiah too that he did a naming ceremony for the unborn child and the name he prophesied was what He was called.

    Isaiah 9:6-7
    [6]For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be CALLED Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
    [7]Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

    Adam naming ceremony
    Adam was the first man that did naming ceremony in the Bible. He gave a name to his wife.
    Genesis 3:20
    [20]And Adam CALLED his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

    He also gave name to all livestock, birds and animals.
    Genesis 2:19
    [19]So the lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would CALL them, and the man chose a name for each one.

    The implication of this is that whichever name we call any animal today was given to them by Adam and the name He called them portrayed their attribute. As he named them, the attitudinal creative power was in his mouth. As he called them their names, the way they will behave too was spoken into them and that’s how they behave till date. Goats are stubborn because Adam named them goats. Had it been that he named the sheep as “goat”, it would have been the sheep that would be stubborn from that time till date.

    Man’s naming ceremony.
    You should understand the fact that the meaning of Adam is “Man”. As God gave the authority to give names to Adam, He also gave mankind that same authority, that’s why you see Ichabod, Jabez et al behaving after the name their parents named them.

    But we, the believers, are having higher advantage of this naming authority over an ordinary person because are of a joint heir with the second Adam who happened to be a “life-giving Spirit” and whatever He says are not ordinary words but “spirit and life.”

    1 Corinthians 15:45
    [45]The Scriptures tell us, “The first man, Adam, became a living person.” But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a life-giving Spirit.

    John 6:63
    [63]The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

    The Implication.
    The implication of the naming ceremony is that whenever you as a believer are experiencing any sickness symptoms, you have the capacity to change the name of such symptom. As I’m living in Divine health, this is one of my biggest secrets that keep me in God’s covenant of Divine Health. When I’m feeling any symptoms in me, what I do is to name the symptom in me to health, I don’t believe that symptom the devil is showing is a sickness, I’d rather name it after my Divine reality in the Lord. That’s why Prophet Joel admonished any one that is having a weak health condition to name it “strong”.

    Joel 3:10
    [10]Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the WEAK say, I am STRONG.

    Can you give a name to your health by saying MY HEALTH IS SICKNESS-RESISTANT.

    SOAR THROAT INSTANTLY HEALED

    I had been ill for a few days…… I had a terrible sore throat I couldn’t even talk. I had to use sign language to communicate to people around and via WhatsApp video calls…… I was longing for someone to just say a word of prayer for me but I couldn’t find any…….I was initially on a fast before the pain started. It was a Terrible experience.

    All of a suden I got a call from Mr. Damsam and he prayed for me when he got to know I was ill. Immediately I got a relief from inside……I felt eased from within…… WAW…… I immediately started talking and communicating with my mom😱😱😱 the more I spoke the more my voice came out loud and that was the end of that pain……. I give Glory to God

    THE MYSTERY OF NAME [Part 1]

    Welcome to Healing Nexus.

    We are starting a series on “Name” today. To start with, let’s define the concept.

    What is Name?
    Name can be seen as an attribute or set of words by which a person or thing is known, addressed or referred to.

    Assuming you’re in a meeting and everybody is asked to introduce themselves and people start mentioning names and then someone stands up and says, “My name is Jesus Christopher” or “Trump Charles”; people’s attention will be drawn to the two people because of the name they’ve mentioned. Infact such individuals don’t need to do the introduction twice before their names will be registered in the hearts of the listeners. The reason is that the name they bear is attached to people who have a track record – “Jesus” and “Trump”. Hence, for you to know the worth of a person, you have to check his name.

    Name is so important in this life for it’s used for indentification, anything that exists has a name it bears – be it in the spirit or in the physical, tangible it intangible. A manufacturer will always give name to his product so as to indentify and distinguish it from other products. You’ll see God as the Master Manufacturer giving names to everything He created. He named the day and named the night. If a name couldn’t be gotten for the day, that means it didn’t exist.

    Name is so pivotal that it defines and constructs the way someone’s life would be.
    As Honorable Jabez was a man of honor amidst his colleagues but would always find himself being sorrowful because his mother named him “sorrow”.
    1 Chronicles 4:9
    [9]And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.

    Phineas’ wife named her son “The Glory is departed (Ichabod)” and the life of that boy never spoke of the Glory of God.
    1 Samuel 4:21
    [21]And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband.

    Jacob’s name had to be changed because the name he bore didn’t portray what God had for his destiny. Jacob means “heel catcher” and this negates the plan of God for his life, then the need to change his name surfaced. God then changed his name to Israel – ” he will rule as God”.

    Genesis 32:28
    [28]And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

    God the Son needed to look for a name that will speak of His assignment on earth and He didn’t pick Isaac because He was not on earth just for laughter but He picked JESUS (Savior) because He was meant to save His people from their sins.
    Matthew 1:21
    [21]And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

    And I want you to know that the name given to Jesus here was “JESUS” and not “JESUS CHRIST”. Also notice that Jesus wasn’t the surname of Christ. The fact is that there was a time that Jesus was Jesus and there was a time that Jesus became Jesus Christ and when was that time? It was when He started His savior assignment fully on earth!


    Acts 10:38
    [38]How God ANOINTED Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

    The word Christ means “Christos” with the meaning, “Anointed“. So Jesus became Jesus Christ the moment He was anointed and it’s this Anointing that breaks the yoke (devil’s work: Isaiah 20:27). This means that anywhere Jesus shows up, yokes will break automatically and the yokes cannot stay inside the Anointing because that’s not its habitat.

    We as believers too are fondly called CHRISTians and that name means “The Anointed“. We carry the same Anointing that’s in Jesus. The name you bear defines your reality but until you’re conscious of this reality you’ll never walk in its actuality.

    Your consciousness is like a switch that is being activated by your understanding and deactivated by your ignorance. Activate this reality by typing: “I, (enter your name), AM AN ANOINTED.” in the comment box.

    Today we shall be looking at the concept of the curses of law. Paul took out time to explain the facts that we as believers ought not to be living in the dispensation of law; that we are presently at the dispensation of Grace; and this dispensation was conveyed to us through our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

    In dispensation of law, anybody that goes against the law is automatically doomed to be afflicted by a curse. So, Paul had to explain to the Galatians that they should allow bygones to be bygones because Jesus had cancelled all the curses of law by being hung on the tree.

    Galatians 3:13
    [13]Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

    I was the type that was always afflicted with boils. In a month I could have boils at least 2 times and if you have ever had it, you would know that it’s always painful. And I’m so sure that anything painful is from the evil. In an attempt to be delivered from this disease, I tried looking for a Bible verse that speaks about it. It was this Galatians 3:13 that I saw that laid the foundation for my healing. After I read that I’ve been redeemed from the curse of law, I asked myself, “what are these curses of law?” and I was redirected to the book of Deuteronomy 28 from verse 13 downwards. When I read through, I saw many diseases and sicknesses that affect people in which boil was included. When I saw that, I jumped up and said to myself that my deliverance is here. I picked the two verses and told the devil what the word of God says and since then I have been delivered from boil.
    Can you say this after me? I’VE BEEN REDEEMED!

    Are you sick?
    You can claim your healing yourself.

    Welcome to Healing Nexus.


    The word SOZO means to be saved. I’ve encountered so many people that will always ask others if they are saved. And this same set of people will be falling sick. To them, to be saved means not to commit sin (it’s actually true but not balanced). To divide the word of truth rightly, we need to check the Greek meaning of the word, SOZO.

    SOZO means saved, make whole, heal and to be whole (Check the Greek dictionary to confirm). And when we look at this meaning, we notice that it encompasses all the finished work of Christ. Christ had saved us from sin, sickness, infirmities and other works of darkness. So if I say I’m saved, what I actually mean is that sin is not my portion, sickness shouldn’t be found in me, poverty is a taboo to my gene.

    JESUS SAVING POWER
    Jesus has the power to save us from all our sins and He did the work on the cross and there are 38 references in the Bible that speaks about this, some are:

    Matthew 1:21
    [21]And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save[SOZO] his people from their sins.

    1 Corinthians 1:21
    [21]For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save [SOZO] them that believe.

    Hebrews 7:25
    [25]Wherefore he is able also to save[SOZO] them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

    Healings and Making whole
    The word SOZO also means healing of the physical body or healing from any sicknesses and to be made whole.

    Luke 8:36
    [36]They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed[SOZO].

    Acts 14:9
    [9]The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed[SOZO].

    Mark 6:56
    [56]And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole[SOZO].

    Matthew 9:22
    [22]But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole [SOZO] from that hour.

    Deliverance
    Sozo can also be seen from the perspective of being delivered from demonic oppression and most sicknesses are as a result of the operations of the demons:

    Mark 5:23
    [23]And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed[SOZO]; and she shall live.

    Luke 6:9-10
    [9]Then said

    Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save[SOZO] life, or to destroy it?
    [10]And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

    Sin and Sickness
    Often times in the Bible, you would see sickness and sin being addressed togther.

    Psalms 103:3
    [3]Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

    Matthew 9:5-6
    [5]For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
    [6]But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

    The reason why you’ve not been freed from that periodic sickness yet you are free from sin as a believer is because you see sin as an abnormal thing and sickness as a normal thing that you ought to experience.

    Start seeing sickness the way you see sin today and start living a healthy life.
    Can you confess this: “I hate sickness the way I hate sin.”

  • JESUS WAS SICK

    JESUS WAS SICK

    I know you’re shocked seeing that Jesus was sick, my fingers too were shaking as I typed it. But can you just stop and think for a minute if you’ve ever come across it in the Bible that Jesus was not feeling fine?

    There is no doubt that Jesus is God and that He came into this world and exhibited man-like characteristics. He was born like you were born, He was fathered by Joseph, He enrolled in an entrepreneurship class with His father where He learnt carpentry (I’m sure He advertised and sold furniture works as well), He was almost stranded as you probably might have been, He wept, He was happy, He was tired, He was hungry, among other characteristics He exhibited on earth; but HE WAS NEVER SICK. I’ve read my Bible, read from anointed men of God but I’ve never come across a place in those writings where Jesus was admitted to hospital for treatment.

    Jesus is the perfect example we are to follow. If Jesus was hungry, it’s a normal thing for me to love food but if He never fell sick, then I should always ask the question, WHY ME?

    God sent Jesus to this world as a model of the health lifestyle He’s expecting all believers to live. Acts 10:38 – “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.”

    Jesus was able to walk in this dimension of health because He was anointed by the Anointer (Holy Ghost) to do so and because God was with Him.

    Who is the Anointer? The Anointing
    Who is the Anointing? The Holy Spirit
    The one who resides in you from salvation. Romans 8:11 – “But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

    So, the advantage you have is that the Spirit and God was with Jesus but both of them now dwell in you! What a privilege.

    The only time Jesus was sick as believed by some theologian was when He was passing through the suffering of the cross, He was beaten, bothered, tortured and brutalized, and each of those strokes represent every kinds of sickness that exists and Hy His stripes we have been healed, at a time, Jesus said ‘it is finished’, that means He had borne all my sicknesses.

    Can you swallow this pill and begin to live in your normal health status?

    John 10:10
    [10]The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

    The 3 fold mission of the devil is to steal, kill and to destroy. But let me shock you: the destruction mandate is not only for the devil, Jesus also owns the mandate to do.

    Isaiah’s Prophecy (Isaiah 10:20-27)
    The Israelites found themselves in the hands of another oppressor named the Assyrian. They were really being tormented by the Assyrians. It was exactly like the experience they had with the Egyptians but there’s hope for the Lord’s people.

    Isaiah 10:27 paraphrased
    [27]And it shall come to pass in that day, that his[The Assyrian/Devil] burden shall be taken away from off thy[Israelite/Believers] shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke[Sickness/infirmities/Diseases] shall be destroyed because of the anointing[Jesus/Holy Spirit].

    This Prophecy was given in the Pre-Jesus era and it came to pass in the Peri-Jesus era.

    Acts 10:38 paraphrased
    [38]How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed(yoked, made sick) of the devil; for God was with him.

    Don’t forget that yoke/sickness/diseases shall be DESTROYED by the Anointing (Jesus) and we can see God giving the destruction mandate to Jesus in this very verse.

    Still in the Peri-Jesus Era, let’s see how Jesus carried it out.

    The temple scene
    Mark 1:23-24
    [23]And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
    [24]Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to DESTROY us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

    Here we see a man that’s having a sickness in which demon is involved, as soon as he saw Jesus, he knew that Jesus’ destruction mandate will surely be carried out, so he begged Jesus not to send him out but he had no option.

    The Mad man of Gadarene

    Mark 5:6-7
    [6]But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
    [7]And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment(DESTROY) me not.

    We’ve seen the destruction mission before and during Jesus ministration on earth. John also gave the testimony.

    1 John 3:8
    [8]He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God(Jesus/You)was manifested, that he might DESTROY the works of the devil(Sickness/infirmity).

    John affirmatively tells us that Jesus’ primary assignment on earth is to come and DESTROY but after Jesus; the Son of God who was the first born left this world, He left the mandate with you and me because we are also sons of God (Rom8:14). and we are also to go out and give Life to those who are lacking it. We are meant to heal the sick.

    Are you born again? Oh yes! You’re also a son of God, you’re meant to destroy the works of the devil ! Sickness is a work of the devil – you are to destroy it, –you’re to heal the sick. Even if you can’t heal anybody of their sickness, you’re meant to heal yourself of any sickness. You too can heal the sick since you’re a son of God! Little wonder Jesus said that those that believe in Him shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover (Mark16:17).
