FACTS ABOUT PROPHECY : Pst. IfeADETONA

I will be opening us to some FACTS ON PROPHECY:

    1. Every believer can manifest it.

Normally, you’re not supposed to pray for it. It’s not something preserved for some believers. Moses even said long ago that he wanted everyone to prophesy (Num 11:29).

God said it in the book of Joel:

    Joel 2:28-29
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters SHALL PROPHESY, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

    2. Everybody can interpret their tongues which is tantamount to prophecy.

The Bible says when a person interprets their tongues, it is just the same as prophecy (1 Corinthians 14:5). The first thing you need to know about the interpretation of tongues is that it is called INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES and not translation of tongues.

It’s all about HOW MUCH YOU ARE ENABLED TO RECEIVE PER TIME. The interpretation can be shorter or longer than the tongues you speak.

Once interpretation wants to come, you will know. You will feel it.

    3. You can prophesy to yourself privately.

Every time you pray, God has a message for you. Always practice the habit of prophesying in your private prayer life.

    4. You can record or write your prophecy.

You can record or write down your prophecy. You are praying in your room, and a message wants to come, you can hold it while you look for a book or pen or grab your phone to press record.

    5. You can also prophesy publicly, but it must not go against the law of prophecy.

Public prophecy must not work against those laws. When people hear the prophecy, THEY MUST feel EDIFIED at the end of the day.

    6. Liars are likely to lie in their prophecies too – Mathew 7:20.

If you’re prophesying, by all means, avoid lying. If you can’t hold lies, it may influence your prophecy.

    7. Knowledge of the word and sound doctrine will give quality to your prophecy.

Your prophecy will get better when you are exposed to quality teaching. Evaluate every prophecy with the word of God.

    8. Judge prophesies with the word – 1 Corinthians 14:29.

In all the churches, we have extra and extremes. We should endeavor to bring every practice under the balance of the word of God.

    9. You will not go unconscious – Acts 2:12-16.

Normally, when you prophesy, you won’t go unconscious.

    10. You will not forget your tongues or prophecy.

    11. Flesh can come in if your motive is not pure, including wanting to impress – James 1:14.

    12. Your spirit is subject to you – 1 Corinthians 14:32.

If you want to activate the gift of prophecy in you, find a quiet place, start with worship or a song that makes you tune into the spirit, stir yourself by speaking in tongues, and let it flow.

Plan for 30 minutes. If it doesn’t happen the first day, try again the 2nd and third day. You don’t need to fast, just a quiet environment where you can speak

  • ACTIVATING THE PROPHETIC : Pst Ife ADETONA

ACTIVATING THE PROPHETIC : Pst Ife ADETONA

SADOZ is the HOME OF THE SUPERNATURAL. It is the HOME for the manifestation of SPIRITUAL GIFTS. When we talk about THE PROPHETIC, we are talking about a few things:

    1. Prophesy
    2. Vision
    3. Knowing things by the Spirit
    4. Hearing things by the Spirit.

But our emphasis tonight is PROPHESY.

The first thing you must understand is that, just as GOD wants everyone to SPEAK IN TONGUES, HE ALSO WANTS EVERYONE TO PROPHESY. Do you remember Joel 2:28-29?

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.”

Paul, in another place, said –

“I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied.”

The second thing you must know is that THE GIFT IS ALREADY IN YOU.

Prophesy is not a gift we need to pray for; it is a gift we need to stir and activate from within us. You birth it forth!

IT TAKES FAITH. When I say it takes faith, I do not mean some complicated thing. You believe that God can use you and that God is using you. But for you to say what God is putting in your mind means you have the faith.

Rom 12:6 says, “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith.”

    Here are two crucial points:

    1. You will not go unconscious while you are prophesying.
    2. You will not forget your prophecy.

Now, let me ask you – HOW MANY OF YOU THINK THAT THOSE THAT PROPHESY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING WHILE PROPHESYING???

You feel they are unconscious somehow, can you signify? I want to tell you that people used to feign as if they were unconscious, but the truth is that they are not. They think that if people know that they are in their senses, they will think what they are saying is fake.

If you can prophesy here, in the house, please tell us sincerely – DO YOU GO UNCONSCIOUS?

Remember, before you started speaking in tongues, you also thought that those that SPEAK IN TONGUES go unconscious. But you have realized now that you don’t go unconscious, right?

5 – People don’t forget their prophecy, and that is because they are not unconscious.

They can remember even though they can forget after some hours or days. This is the way prophesy comes – it’s like a hose or pipe. It can’t store water but water passes through it. The words you are speaking forth pass through your mind before coming out of your mouth.

I will show you in the Bible that the first PEOPLE that prophesied in the Bible did not go unconscious! In the book of Acts Chapter 2, we saw 120 people got baptized for the first time ever in the New Testament. They spoke in tongues and also PROPHESIED because people were ministered to.

The people hearing them started saying all kinds of things. They said maybe they were drunk. Tell me, if they were unconsciously or didn’t know what they were doing, HOW DID PETER HEAR THEM? But do you notice that Peter heard everything they were saying?

Acts 2:14 – “But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.”

Peter even said – “LOOK AT THE TIME.”

No.6 PROPHESY is like a bottled coke.

I will explain. If you understand this analogy and you have faith, you will prophesy in less than 20 minutes from now. Prophecy is like a bottled coke. When you SHAKE A BOTTLE of coke rigorously and you OPEN the lid, what’s going to happen?

Thank you. It will gush out. How many of us have been praying in tongues one time, and you felt as if God wants to use you to give prophecy? You even hear the first line like: ‘I AM THE LORD’ coming to your mind. But you refused to speak it because you feel maybe you are the one thinking it or that since you were still conscious?

That first common statement you’re hearing in your mind is the LID of the bottle! If you can speak out that FIRST WORD by faith, THEN THE REST WILL START GUSHING OUT.

Do you get it? Yes, the first STATEMENT is usually the common statements around you. It may be slightly different or the same.

    HOW PROPHESY HAPPENS.

    1. A son or daughter of Zion who wants to prophesy should find a quiet place or where he is alone.

    2. He should start with a worship or song that makes him tune into the spirit.

    3. He should begin to STIR himself by speaking in tongues.

    4. As soon as he hears the first word like “I AM THE LORD” rumbling in his mind, He should begin to speak.

    5. The rest will start gushing out.

Plan for 30 minutes. If it didn’t happen the first day, round up your prayer once it’s 30 minutes and go again the 2nd and third day. You don’t need to fast, just a quiet environment where you can speak.

  • DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE PRAYER LIFE 3 : PRIME TIME & UNDERSTANDING YOURSELF

DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE PRAYER LIFE 3 : PRIME TIME & UNDERSTANDING YOURSELF

It is important that you understand yourself or you call it the concept of prime time, this is the time in which you are most active, it is the time when you are always energized to perform some certain tasks. I have been opportune to counsel some people about their prayer lives. And very often, they come up with complaints such as; they sleep off whenever they are set to pray, some would even say they don’t know why their prayer life is under attack, and claim that the devil is after them. One time, I was counseling someone and he said: “my day time is meant for praying normal prayer while my night time is meant for warfare prayer, and because I’m waging war against the devil, he attacked my prayer life as a means of fighting back.” I was so amazed and guess what? As we continued further in our discourse, I discovered that he is a farmer who works rigorously in the day. Then I was prompted to ask him who told him day time is meant for normal prayer and night time is meant for warfare prayer, I even found myself asking him whether there is a difference between normal prayer and warfare prayer. I told him to kindly cite an example of a normal prayer, but he could not give me a sound explanation. Likewise, so many people have been under the shackles of this mentality that if they cannot pray in the night between 12 am to 3bam every day, they have not prayed yet, or their prayer life is not fire branded. Even if they have time in the day, they will not pray because they have been held bound by that mentality that it is at night God answers prayer. This is a capital NO!

It will surprise you to know that the number of times Jesus prayed all night inside the Bible was just twice. Although it may seem more than that because it appeared throughout the Gospels. Meanwhile, I will like you to bear in mind that I am not talking against praying at night. In fact, I pray twice in the midnight in a week and I’ll encourage you to buy the idea because you have been given the ability to do so. But what I am emphasizing on is the fact that “You should not allow condemnation or Guilt” to set in. Don’t think that if you do not pray in the night, the prayer you pray during the day is not effective, do not see yourself as someone who is bad or lazy. lt is God Himself that does not sleep, Psalm 121:4 rightly affirms that. It says “they that keepeth you never sleep nor slumber.”

Can you keep yourself? Or do you think it is the prayer you offer in the night time that is keeping you? If it is, then it is synonymous to you not sleeping at all, all the days of your life. You might be thinking about where Jesus says “while men slept,” Jesus was talking in parable at that time and Jesus wasn’t addressing that we shouldn’t sleep, in fact the Bible records it that Jesus (Himself) slept at night.

    WHAT TO DO.

    Mark 1:35;

“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.”

The prime time is the time which you are having much capacity to pray, and you must understand yourself in doing that. For some people, they may find it easy to pray without dozing around 4 am to 5 am, or 4 am to 6am, but such may find it difficult to pray around 12 am to 1am, they may sleep off and not be active.

This is a principle practiced by Jesus during the day. He would go around to heal the sick, deliver the oppressed, travel from one region to another region, but during the night time, he sleeps. Meanwhile, this does not mean He did not understand that He needs to pray, but He would sleep so as to conserve energy to pray before day break and that’s usually around 4 am in the morning, and by doing so, He tried praying by the time. He only rests for the day, because he would not be active.

    INTRIGUE OF THE SPIRIT.

Do not forget that we have addressed the switching by the Spirit which leads to unstructured prayer. And when this occur in the middle of the night, or when you are about to rest in bed, the extra energy to pray will be made available, you can partner with the Holy Spirit to maximize that moment. For you to have an effective prayer life, you must understand yourself and understand the concept of prime time.

    ACTION:

Sit down and think about your prayer life (time.) Are you always active during those times? If yes, congratulations! If no, think of a better time you can fix which will be of immense help to you personally.

  • FAITH AND WEDDING GOWN – Pst. Ife ADETONA

FAITH AND WEDDING GOWN – Pst. Ife ADETONA

I have said this before so, I will just summarize. First, a feminist or divorcee may be talking down on a fellow woman who wore a wedding gown to a miracle service as a step of faith. You can throw away the messenger or the tone of the message but don’t throw away the entire message.

Two, I am a teacher of faith and a radical faither, I have no right to talk down on anyone’s faith but in this journey of teaching and mentorship, we have seen things called faith that did more harm than good.

Three, marriage of all things is a very sensitive thing. There are fewer working marriages than working ones and the woman is mostly at the receiving end. Someone looking for the fruit of the womb can back clothes as a step of faith, I will be impressed but marriage is not what many unmarried people think it is. It is a one-chance venture, you have to get it right with one person or get it wrong with many who may further waste your time during what is called the “talking stage” or wedded you into bondage. One of the ways to keep your head above the water is to avoid attracting preying eyes. Speaking generally, the right person that would come will come not because you wore a wedding gown. And God will not answer you because you wore one. There are other steps of faith you can take as related to marriage.

“What if such got married next year?” I don’t want to analyze this but let’s say this “a wrong approach may work once but a good principle will work for everyone and at every time”.

Last, LET’S all learn what is called FAITH. If you have never sat under any teaching series on faith or read any book(s) titled faith, you don’t understand that concept. There’s something called ” knee-jerk” or “emergency faith”. God honours faith but many ended up disappointed in God thinking God was at fault.

  • Israel-Palestine Conflict: Genesis till date in brief by Ife Adetona.

Israel-Palestine Conflict: Genesis till date in brief by Ife Adetona.

Many believers feel that the only right Israel has to the land is because God gave them the land in the Bible days. But that stance, however true, may sound sentimental and unjust.

Remember, the Roman government killed Jesus at the request of the Jews. So, the land was under Roman colonisation. Jesus predicted that the temple would be destroyed.

In an attempt to un-Israelize the land, the temple was destroyed in 70 CE and many Jews were killed, taken as slaves and many others were forcibly exiled. Rome also unofficially name the place, “the land of Palestine” so as to disassociate the Jews from the land.

The Roman power fell and the Ottoman Empire took over the region. The Ottoman Empire was an Arab/Muslim empire and included places like Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt and more.

They built a structure known as the “Dome of the Rock” on the site of the destroyed temple and a mosque beside it. The Dome is seen as very important to Muslims because it is said that Prophet Muhammad made night journeys and ascension from there. The Mosque beside it is also held in high esteem by the Arab and Muslim world.

After World War I, the Ottoman Empire fell and the region was placed under the control of France and Britain by the League of Nations (now United Nations) with the mandate of preparing them for self-rule. Britain was in charge of Jordan and the Land of Israel/Palestine. While France was in charge of the rest. Other countries soon gained their independence but Britain continued to oversee the land of Palestine/Land of Israel due to the complexity and peculiarity of their situation.

At the time, the number of Jews on the land had greatly reduced and the Arabs had increased. Take Ilorin in Kwara State for instance where you have the Fulanis becoming legitimate indigenous Ilorin due to their long stay since they migrated there.

The Zionist Movement began to gain momentum. The Zionist movement is a clamour for Israelites around the world to return to their land of origin. Remember the prophecy in the book of Isaiah 43:5-6
    5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth” and other places where God said Israelites would return from the North, South, East and West.

The increased population of the Jews caused tensions with the Arabs living on the land. There was also the Holocaust where 6 Million Jews living in Europe were killed by Adolf Hitler during the Second World War. This made it very important for the world government to give the Jewish people a country of their own that they could identify with.

The British government wanted to hand over the land and came up with a plan which was passed and declared by the United Nations. It is known as the Partition Declaration. They gave the Jews about 1/3 of the land while they gave the Arabs the remaining 2/3. The division was based on their population. They said Jerusalem would be under the International government because of both claims to the holy sites (the remains of the temple wall, Dome of the Rock together with the mosque).

The Jews accepted, and the Arabs rejected. They said they wanted the whole land. That led to fighting but Israel declared itself independent anyway six months after the UN plan in May 1948.

The surrounding Arab nations (Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq, as well as local Palestinian Arab forces) gathered to go on an all-out war with Israel with one intention- to wipe out the State of Israel. By the end of the war, Israel had taken more lands including control over part of Jerusalem. The other part of Jerusalem including the Holy sites fell to Jordan and Egypt occupied Gaza.

18 years after in 1967, the Arab nations gathered again to wipe out the State of Israel. They were gathering planes and ammunition for ground assault. Before they could fire the first bullet, Israel had blown their planes and other ammunition. In 6-days, Israel had beaten all of them seizing the whole of Jerusalem and the rest of the lands Jordan and Egypt held and even more. This is known as the Six-Day War.

Seizing more lands means Israel occupied (in charge) the lands that were once given to the Palestine people and some places belonging to the surrounding Arab nations. Occupying those lands not only reduces the risk of further assault but also creates a gap between the hostile neighbours and Israel’s border.

However, the occupation comes with strict monitoring of the Palestinians and high-handedness. This is judged to be an abuse of their fundamental human rights and it always leads to confrontations between the Palestinian and the Israeli soldiers. To the Palestinians, it is an abuse of their rights but to Israel, it is DEFEND OR DIE.

Meanwhile, Israel has since returned many of those lands including Gaza.

Hamas, a designated terrorist group took over the government of Gaza and has since been launching rockets into Israel targeting civilians from time to time. If not for the Israeli air defence system. For instance, on the first day of this October 2023 attack, Hamas launched 5,000 rockets in a day.

Hezbollah, another terrorist group stationed itself in Lebanon and has been attacking Israel from the Lebanon-Israel border which is on the north side of Israel. Gaza is on the east.

The baseline is that, after several failed attempts by the surrounding Arab nations to go to war with Israel, they began to sponsor and support terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah so that when they strike, they would say, “A terrorist group killed Israel civilians”, no government will be directly held accountable. And when Israel fights back, it would be that the “Government of Israel attacked civilians”. Iran did not even hide the fact that they are the one bankrolling the Hezbollah terrorist group.

One time, Israel entered Lebanon to chase out the Iran-backed Hezbollah but they have since regrouped and returned to Lebanon.

Hamas, situated in Gaza recruited so many people and on October 7, 2023, breached Israel’s borders, killed every being in sight and kidnapped some. In total, it is on record that they killed 1,400 people including 260 people from a party that was holding that night. 203 people from Israel have been confirmed kidnapped. Hamas said they are up to 250.

Back to the Background, both Israel and Palestine Arabs have a right to the land just like the Yorubas and the indigenous Fulanis can claim Ilorin today. There is a need for a middle ground and a peace deal if these continuous assaults would end or be reduced to the minimum.

Several and Several proposals have been made in the past by Britain, the UN, US again and again. Many of which were opposed by the leaders of Palestine.

The aim of Israel in the ongoing war started by Hamas is to remove Hamas from the government of Gaza and incapacitate it from causing a future harm on the state of Israel.

  • AI (ChatGPT) Vs Holy Spirit : Pst. Ife ADETONA

AI (ChatGPT) Vs Holy Spirit : Pst. Ife ADETONA

So now, we are debating if AI will take the job of the Holy Spirit. As in, if a teaching aid will take the job of the Teacher. Any pastor whose “AI” takes the place of the Holy Spirit in his life never works with the Holy Spirit to start with.

Before the advent of AI, seasoned teachers uses GOOGLE, Bible Commentaries, Greek and Hebrew Dictionary, concordance, and even English Dictionary (and the Encyclopedia, maps) etc. I use all of these tools steadily. They are all aids and very useful. AI or chatgpt for me is an advanced google as far as sermon preparation is concerned. Pastors should not be discouraged from deploying it to further their effectiveness.

Could there be an abuse? What kind of abuse? The worst that can happen is for, a pastor to ask Chatgpt to generate a sermon for him with Bible references and go ahead to preach it in his service. Is that a bad thing? Depending on how you see it.

A pastor could do that, just to get tips, make some embellishments, additions and subtractions and deliver a powerful, Holy Ghost-inspired message from it. Another lazy pastor may not bother to do all that and just go ahead to preach what the AI generated and his members would be BETTER OFF BLESSED than when he wasn’t using chatgpt. Do you know why? For him to use chatgpt for his full message shows that he wasn’t even much of a blessing to his members beforehand. I would wish that all those “current affairs” pastors read from chatgpt than saying: “owo epo ti won”, (the price of fuel is high) or dollar ti won (the exchange rate is high).

The question is, where does Chatgpt get its answers from? Simple answer: where does Google get its answers from? Google goes to files uploaded on the internet sorting from the most popular to the least popular using SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Chatgpt uses the same files uploaded by seasoned and Holy Ghost-filled ministers but this time sorting from the “most accurate”.

This is not about me. I am not going to ask Chatgpt to generate a sermon for me. I can preach 100 messages across different topics IMPROMPTU just from my archives. I have over 60 books in circulation long before the advent of chatgpt. If the only thing I do for the next one year is to turn my archives teachings into books, I won’t exhaust it even after writing another 60 books. I don’t even need any additional resources. Just my archives!

Back to IF CHATGPT would take the work of the Holy Spirit. I see it as a PLUS than a threat. From my interaction with it SO FAR, even if a lazy pastor demonstrates utmost recklessness and relies 100% on it, he may be at the losing end but his members would be better off. Now, imagine how much it will be of help to a pastor who is efficient and just uses it as a tool.

My point: EXPLORE AI to its fullest potential for your career and personal development, it is a blessing from God.

“Oh, Pastor Ife, I can take everything you said but don’t say it is a blessing from God”. Sorry o, is your mobile phone a curse because some people are using it for scams?

  • CHARGING MONEY BY GOSPEL MINISTER : Pst. Ife ADETONA

CHARGING MONEY BY GOSPEL MINISTER : Pst. Ife ADETONA

Your sister has a strong passion for teaching. After her NYSC, she got a teaching job where she was paid 25k. Then, she applied for a banking job where she was offered 205k per month. What would be your advice to her?

Forget about that example. Look at this scenario:

A sister (not your sibling) is a song minister. She was invited to a church to minister. She was to transport herself over a far distance with her crew members. She is not even sure if they would give her an honorarium let alone the transportation of her crew members. But they were the first to contact her before another church did. This other church assured her that they would send her flight ticket upfront. Her crew members can come by road and they will all be lodged in a hotel. There is also a guarantee of a fat honorarium. Please, advise her. Remember the date is clashing with the former church.

I know what is coming to your mind right now. She should not look at the money. She should pray first. What if God didn’t want her there? What if she has a plane crash on her way? What if it is an occultic church? What if souls are waiting for her in the former church?

Thanks for your thoughts. But why is that the first thing that came to your mind? You didn’t think about all that when I talked about the first sister. What if Boko Haram bombed the bank? What if a plane crashed on her head on her way to the bank? What if the building just collapsed? What if water carried her away while in front of the bank?

I find it very hypocritical to attack gospel ministers for charging money. Just try and put yourself in their shoes. EVERY MINISTER WANTS TO MINISTER JUST LIKE EVERY DOCTOR WANTS TO TREAT. And there are stages in the ministry. There are days they were even begging just to be given the chance to minister bearing all the cost. There are stages they don’t mind even if it’s just the transport fare that shows.

They have come to a stage of several demands left right and center. There’s a quality of delivery you also expect from them. There’s a quality of travelling method they can use. You have to pay for all that. There’s a type of hotel they can use. They do personal rehearsals, they have personal development programmes. All of that would cost. Their band members are not called into the ministry so they charge per month or outing! They have a family to feed. If they chose to charge to be able to SORT first among their various invitations, so be it.

Go for those who are still trusting God or go for those who can work within your budget. WHY THE COMPLAIN? Or just SING YOURSELF!

  • SIGNS &WONDERS vs DRESSING : Pst. Ife ADETONA

SIGNS &WONDERS vs DRESSING : Pst. Ife ADETONA

How someone who dresses in a “societally unacceptable manner” manifests the gifts of the Spirit is probably the most confusing aspect of our Christianity today. The big question is: “If God didn’t approve of their dressing, why is God using them?” Many have therefore concluded that: “since God performs signs and wonders through them, it means God also affirms their dressing”.

Quite a complex issue but also simple. May God help our understanding.

Note: I said: “societally unacceptable dressing”. I didn’t say “HEAVENLY UNACCEPTABLE DRESSING”. What we wear is absolutely an earthly matter. Don’t worry if you’re not buying that, I will explain.

In the Old Testament, God gave the Israelites some laws like “do not touch the dead”. It was not for the sake of the dead or the sake of their heaven but for the sake of their health. Science wasn’t advanced back then and so, in the wisdom of God, to contain diseases and epidemics that may happen as a result.

Back to the dressing and hairstyle.

A dress or hairstyle will not take you to HELL FIRE.

But it can expose you to an influence that can take you to hell. A step into it then other things that used to be very wrong in your sight, you’ll begin to reason them out. You can relate, right?
    Titus 2:11
    11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying UNGODLINESS and WORLDLY lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

It can also expose those who model after you to an influence that may lead them to hell even though you may still make heaven. Remember those whom the Scriptures say their works would burn but would be slightly saved?

It can expose the children you raise with such a lifestyle to an influence that will take them to hell. It is called the law of ripple-down effect. Those dresses always attract societal vices. They will mingle with those with the same dressense and learn their ways.

That is how things get degenerated, from one step deep to another step deeper. The question in the American Church in those days used to be dressings, hairstyles, tattoos, earrings and so on but today, it’s no longer so but whether a gay can be an ordained minister.

The next generation after the gay generation is talking about transgender. That is, medically turning your sexuality around.

Sorry, gay is not related to the dressing we are talking about. I brought it in because the DRESSING is not actually the long-term aim of SATAN, the master strategist. It is only a means to an end.

Talking about GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS are freely given to babes in Christ. God even say servant girls and boys will be heavily filled. It is ignorance that makes us relate it with maturity and dressing. God designed it so that when a man gives his life to Christ this moment, He speaks in tongues, He prophesies, He heals the sick, He casts out demons etc. The more he grows in the knowledge of these gifts and in faith, he manifests the gift the more. If he is exposed to an environment where the gifts or the supernatural is at large, he will manifest it much more.

This has little or nothing to do with his dressing except when his dressing attracts other things that can impair the move of God. And even at that, he still has some grace period to graze over. I mean, Saul was still winning battles while David was being prepared.

You may say: “But God shouldn’t have designed it like that. He should withdraw his gifts immediately if he sees a man or woman dressed in a wrong way!” If He does that, where will you be? It is man that perverse the goodwill of God to their own disadvantage, there is nothing wrong with the judgement of God.

    SUMMARY-
First- “God doesn’t judge dressing” but what dressing draws.
    Mathew 22:11&13
But when the king came in to meet the guests, he noticed a man who wasn’t wearing the proper clothes for a wedding. Then the king said to his aides, ‘Bind his hands and feet and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Second- Satan has a longer-term plan. First for you, the family, the society and especially the Church. This plan is flying freely on the bait of dressing and appearance which is a dimension of “worldliness”.

For the Church, the Lord says- let the tares and the wheat continue to grow together.

Mathew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

    PRAYER WALK AND INTERCESSION

1 Timothy 2:1 – “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.”

    The Power of Intercession

Do you ever find yourself feeling weak in the place of prayer? It’s quite common when we focus solely on our own needs. However, the key to strengthening your prayer life lies in cultivating the habit of intercession and supplication. In the following sections, I will delve deeper into the benefits of intercession and supplication.

    A Divine Inspiration

During the writing of this manuscript, I received a divine inspiration from the Holy Spirit. I used to go on prayer walks intermittently, but this evening was different. I felt a burden in my heart for a dear friend, and that’s when the Holy Spirit inspired me to embark on a prayer walk for him.

Here’s what I did: I switched off my phone, left it at home, took some money with me, and hailed a cab from Irete, a location in Owerri, Nigeria, to Port Harcourt Road. Importantly, I intentionally carried only enough money for the journey there, with the plan to walk back home, which would take approximately an hour. This decision allowed me to focus entirely on prayer without the temptation to cut my walk short.

Tips for an Effective Prayer Walk

    • Choose the Right Time: To minimize distractions, prayer walks are best done either early in the morning or in the evening.
    • Be Prepared: During your walk, carry a pocket Bible and a torch to help you read and stay safe in the dark.

By embracing the practice of prayer walks and intercession, you can transform your prayer life and make a positive impact on the lives of those you pray for.
