Just like the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in new tongues, God desires that all His children prophesy. In the upper room, the 120 spoke not only in new tongues, they all prophesied and spoke about the wonderful works of God.
More than you want this gift, the LORD wants you to have it and as you read, there shall be an impartation of the gift of prophecy coming upon you and you will speak forth to the glory of God the Father.
