    ABOUT THE BOOK

The fiercest spiritual battle Satan is waging against believers is not poverty or generational curses, it is sin. Adam had everything, yet he was tempted to sin. Every situation and challenge Satan throws at a man is a means to an end, and that end is sin.

It was this war Paul fought in his flesh till he encountered Christ. When he encountered Christ, the war did not end but the dimension changed. The battle for holy living is a long term one that we will continue to fight till Jesus comes, or till we leave the earth. Everyone is fighting but we are fighting differently. Some are fighting victoriously but some are fighting defeated. It is not everyone that is battling with a sin or what is called weakness, some are already above and they are keeping their stand.

You do not have to struggle against sin, you can stay on top of it. We are not waging a war against sin, Jesus had conquered sin and swallowed it up in victory. Our war is battle is for holiness. The need for holy living is not just for making heaven, but for making most of our life and realizing our full potential here on earth.

Every man on earth that desires to live a holy life but keep experiencing what is known “rising and falling”, draw closer because your victory is long settled and your help is here.

    ABOUT THE BOOK

Confess this book daily and you will see your will align with the will to live holy and trample that sin under your feet, just as the Scriptures say, His spirit willeth in us to do according to his will.

Jesus said the word I speak unto you, they are living agents and life giving spirits (paraphrased). That means if Jesus speaks the word of sound health to you, the spirits (i.e, words) will become health giving spirits in you. If He speaks the words of fruitfulness, the spirit of the word will become a child in your womb. These are holiness scriptures, that is, holiness enabling spirits. When you confess (not just read) them daily, you will prevail over sin and guilt because so mightily grew the word of God and prevailed (Acts 19:20).

It doesn’t matter if that sin or temptations keep coming even after you have started confessing this book, just keep on. We don’t stop proclaiming our healing because we still feel the symptoms. You should never stop confessing all the scriptures in this book daily until your flesh has lost the appetite for that sin.

  • EVANGELIST: PREDESTINATION or COMMISSION

    EVANGELIST: PREDESTINATION or COMMISSION

Are all believers an evangelist is a question that was asked in a bible study class I found years back, the question emanated from these two verses of the bible 2 Timothy 4:5 & Ephesians 4:11

    2 Timothy 4:5
[5]But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, DO THE WORK OF AN EVANGELIST, make full proof of thy ministry.

    Ephesians 4:11
    [11]And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and SOME EVANGELIST; and some, pastors and teachers;

The person that asked this question thought was thought was that everyone should be an evangelist since the work of an Evangelist is evangelism. Also, Evangelism is an assignment given to all believers and not some.

I will be doing justice to this in case my readers may also be having this confusion in mind. Ephesians 4:11 give us an insight into the 5 fold ministry which areas are:

    1. Apostle (Apostolos-apostolos – the sent/delegate/ambassador)
    2. Prophet (prophets – inspired speaker)
    3. EvangelistsEvangelist (evangelists – preachers of the gospel)
    4. Pastor (poymane – Shepherd/bishop/overseer)
    5. Teacher (didaskalos – teacher)

All believers are privileged in a sense to work in a dimension of each of these folds looking at their meaning, let me analyze it further:

    1. Apostle: this means the sent or an ambassador, the Bible says we are an ambassador for Christ 2 Corinthians 5:20, we are all sent from heaven to this world to represent the interest of God on earth.

    2. Prophet: A prophet is an inspired speaker that is having the ability to see visions and we can see from the letter of Paul to the Corinthians that all believers are having the ability to speak as inspired prophet Joel also prophesy that all believers can see visions, this is the prophetic dimension of all believers.

    3. Pastor: A pastor is an overseer, someone that cares for a particular set of people, and when you look into the scope of Christian leadership, you will see that all believers that are serving in the kingdom of God have one time or the other oversee some certain set of people which qualify them to be a pastor at one time or the other.

    4. Teacher: A teacher is someone that teaches the word of God, it is expected that all believers should be able to teach the word of God as it is even a command given to all believers by Jesus that we should go and teach all the nations.

    5. Evangelist: An evangelist is a preacher of the Gospel, which is the responsibility of all that believes

We’ve seen the aspect that concerns all believers but that doesn’t annul the office of the fivefold offices. The office of an Evangelist is predestined, it is not stepped to by wishes, those that work in it operate deeply in the power gifts (working of miracles, faith, and gifts of healing), and they must know how to preach and make their message simple and they are called into the ministry fully because of the itinerary makeup of the ministry. As far as preaching the gospel constitute their major assignment, that doesn’t mean that believers don’t have the responsibility of preaching the Gospel again. Preaching the Gospel is a commandment given to us by Jesus before He ascended to heaven.

    Mark 16:15
[15]And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

This means all believers are having an evangelistic assignment, and we are expected to do the work of an evangelist anywhere we find ourselves.

Evangelism is not left to be the sole work of the evangelist but the work of all believers.

  • 10 SIMPLE WAYS TO PREACH DURING EVANGELISM

10 SIMPLE WAYS TO PREACH DURING EVANGELISM

    METHODS OF PREACHING

    1. ONE-MINUTE GOSPEL:
This is a quick method of preaching the gospel, you can use this method to win 50 souls in less than 30 minutes, I learned this method from my spiritual father, and it goes thus:

    You: Good evening, Beloved.
    Beneficiary: Good evening.
You: Can you please give me 2 minutes out of your time?
    Beneficiary: For what purpose?
You: I just want to preach to you about Jesus.
    Beneficiary: Go ahead.
You: Have you given your life to Jesus? If Yes:
    Beneficiary: Yes.
    You: When?
Beneficiary: So, so and so date…
You: Encourage them to be steadfast and pray for them.
    If No:
You: Say after me; Lord Jesus, I believe that you died and rose for me on the cross of cavalry so that I can have life, I accept you into my life, come in today, come in to stay, in Jesus’ name I’ve prayed.
    Beneficiary: Amen.

    The wisdom behind this method is found in the book of Corinthians;
    1. Corinthians 12:3;
[3] Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can SAY that JESUS IS LORD but by the HOLY GHOST.

And the prayer starts by telling them to say LORD JESUS, that is, it is the Holy Spirit that made them say so and of course, this doesn’t mean that everyone will agree to say it with you, I’ve met some people that won’t repeat it after me but it is the convincing power of the Holy Spirit that makes some people open their mouth and say it with you.

    2. ROMANS’ ROAD:
This is preaching the gospel with just 5 verses of the book of Romans which are 3:23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:9 & 10:13.

Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we still sinners Christ died for us.

Romans 10:9 – If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10:13 – For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

This method is simple, just memorize the 5 verses and quote it or read it to your beneficiaries while preaching to them and they will be saved after confessing with you.

    3. PRAY AND SAY:
This method of reaching out is quite simple as well, you are to approach your beneficiaries by telling them you want to pray with them, and no one will reject that offer, take for instance:

    You: Good day, Beloved.
    Beneficiary: Hi.
You: My name is Charles, and I’m a man of God. I have a leading to go out and pray with people, if you won’t mind, can I pray with you?
    Beneficiary: Go ahead.
You: Thanks, can I know your name? And are you born again?
Beneficiary: I’m Cephas and I’m born again.
    You: When?
Beneficiary: I don’t know, (if he doesn’t know, continue with the process and ensure that he notes that date as his spiritual birthday as he knows his biological birthdate.)
You: Let’s pray; thank you Jesus for the life of Brother Cephas, thank you for you died and rose because of Him, I brought him to the place of the cross today and I decree that you are saved in Jesus’ name, (you can add other prayers as it may concern the information you got from him be it academic, career, etc.)
    Beneficiary: Amen
You: You can then tell him more about Jesus.

    4. BILLY GRAHAM METHOD:

This is a simple 4 steps of preaching the gospel that is most likely used by Billy Graham, the steps go thus:

Step 1: God’s plan – Peace and life, (God loves you and wants you to experience His peace and life. The Bible says “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16.)

Step 2; Our Problem – Separation, (Being at peace with God is not automatic. God gave us free will to choose and we chose to disobey him. This is what separates us from God.

Step 3; God’s Remedy – The Cross: Jesus Died on the cross and rose again. Paying the penalty for our sins, Jesus bridged the gap between us and God.

Step 4; Our Response – Receive Christ: We must trust and receive Christ as our Lord and Savior, (John 1:12.)

    5. COUNTING FIVE (5) AND WIN A SOUL METHOD:
This is following a simple 5 components of the gospel and the advantage attached to each to preach the gospel, the 5 components are :

    A. Jesus’ birth
    B. Jesus’ life
    C. Jesus’ death
    D. Jesus’ resurrection
    E. Jesus’ ascension

    6. WALKING THROUGH THE BIBLE METHOD:
The first five (5) methods could be used when there is no luxury of time but the methods I will be stating now can be used when there is enough time to preach the gospel.

Walking through the bible method is all about starting your message from the Genesis of the bible till Revelation by summary, your message must point at the following points:

    A. God’s intention for creation
    B. The fall of Adam and Eve
    C. God’s Love and Purpose for mankind
    D. The justice nature of God: Payment for Sin and His mercy dimension
    E. Why our good works cannot save us
    F. God coming to earth as a man, Jesus Christ forms salvation sake
    G. The benefit of Jesus’ Life on Earth
    H. The importance of Jesus’ Death
    I. Aftermath of Jesus’ Resurrection
    J. The free gift of life and how to receive

    7. COME AND SEE METHOD:
This is sharing the gospel through a major testimony of your life to people, take for instance: you do fall sick before and now you’re free from it, you are poor before but through the gospel, you are now rich, etc. You must note that your testimony here is not the gospel, it is just a vehicle that transports your gospel.

Whenever you want to use this method, you must have it in mind that you are to expose to your beneficiary how helpless you were before, how you receive the gospel, and how its power transforms you and the new life you are living right now.

    8. QUESTIONNAIRE METHOD:
This is a method of preaching the gospel to an unbelieving friend just by asking questions, questions like:

    A. Do you think there is a heaven or a hell?
    B. If you die tonight, where would you go?
    C. Do you care to know a way to live a better life on earth?
    D. Have you heard about Jesus before?
    F. Are you born again?
    G. Do you know the benefits of being born again?
    H. Can I pray with you?

All these questions are gospel questions, once they are answered, they will give you a compass for the message you will preach.

    9. ONE VERSE OF THE BIBLE METHOD:
This is preaching the gospel from a verse of the Bible, I use this method a lot when I preach at morning cry. In this method, you give your preaching a topic, it will look like a sermon, take for instance, John 10:10 talks about abundant life, then you start your preaching by telling your beneficiary that the topic of your message is “abundant life,” you can pick “eternal life” from John 3:16. Just pick a verse of the bible and build on it and make sure the gospel is preached.

    10. NEED BASE:
This is a method whereby the gospel is being preached through the need of your beneficiary.
    Acts 3:2,5-6
    [2] And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
[5] And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
[6] Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

The man at the beautiful gate needed money from Peter and John but they saw that his need is far more beyond money, they healed him and used that avenue to win him and many others to the light of the gospel.

  • THE FALL OF MAN – Pst. Ife ADETONA

THE FALL OF MAN – Pst. Ife ADETONA

Tonight, we are discussing the Creation and the Fall of Man, as narrated in the first chapters of Genesis. Though these chapters appear brief, they are some of the most profound verses in Scripture, filled with deep mysteries.

    Creation of Man:

The first man, Adam, is introduced in Genesis 1:26:
*And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.*

God’s intention to create man was evident from the beginning. He created man in His image and likeness, meaning that man shares some characteristics with God. For instance, God has fingers, feet, and eyes as described in Scripture, and so does man.

    The Image of God:

John 4:24 states that God is Spirit, hence the image of God is Spirit. When God created man in His image, He made man a spirit.

    Formation of Man:

Genesis 2:7 describes the formation of man from the dust of the ground, into which God breathed the breath of life, making man a living soul. The body formed from dust is the casing, the spirit is the essence, and the soul is the connector between the body and the spirit.

    The Fall of Man:

Genesis 3:6 recounts the temptation and fall:
*And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.*

Contrary to popular belief, Adam was likely with Eve during the temptation. The temptation likely occurred in Eve’s mind, influenced by the serpent’s enticement. Adam’s decision to eat the fruit alongside Eve could be seen as an act of solidarity, akin to the sacrificial love Christ later showed.

    Consequences of the Fall:

The serpent, Eve, and Adam each faced consequences. For Adam, the ground was cursed because of his disobedience (Genesis 3:17). This curse extended to all of creation, awaiting redemption (Romans 8:19-21).

The Two Trees in the Garden:

Genesis 2:9 mentions the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The Tree of Life was the tree of immortality, and eating from it would grant eternal life. The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil represents self-awareness, conscience, and wisdom. God’s command not to eat from this tree was a test of obedience.

    The Significance of the Trees:

    – The Tree of Life was intended to be eaten in due time, had man obeyed God.
    – The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil brought about the awareness of good and evil, leading to conscience and self-reliance.
    – Eating from the Tree of Knowledge was an act of independence from God, akin to the prodigal son’s desire for independence.

    Aftermath of the Fall:

Adam and Eve, realizing their nakedness, attempted to cover themselves with fig leaves (Genesis 3:7). God, in His mercy, made garments of skin for them (Genesis 3:21), symbolizing the first blood sacrifice and foreshadowing Christ’s redemptive work.

    Tree of Life Today:

The Tree of Life is now associated with Christ, who offers eternal life. Revelation 22:2 and 22:14 speak of the Tree of Life in heaven, accessible to those who follow God’s commandments.

The Creation and Fall of Man are foundational to understanding God’s plan for redemption. The narrative underscores the importance of obedience and the dire consequences of sin, while also pointing to God’s ultimate provision for salvation through Jesus Christ.

  • THE CREATION STORY – Pst. Ife ADETONA

THE CREATION STORY – Pst. Ife ADETONA

In this article, we will talk about the Creation. Do you know that science believes this earth is up to 6.5 billion years old? Meanwhile, using the Bible historical outline, it’s just 6,000 years old. That’s what we want to clarify here.

Let’s start like this. Basically, it is believed that God appeared one day and created the heaven and the earth in just six days and rested on the seventh day. That is what you have always believed and known, right? If that’s all you believe, you have believed rightly and it’s enough. What we want to do tonight is simply bothering or stressing ourselves. You don’t have to bother your head because we are in the days of knowledge, but it’s good we do as well.

Before we go into the deep, either you choose to know or not, you may be questioned someday. I want to stress that the primary reason the Creation story was written was to give man an identity. It was Moses that wrote this book. God knew man would like to know: where did I come from? To help man out of that confusion, God told Moses the creation story.

The second primary reason for the creation story in the Bible was for the Israelites to know their root. You’ll realize that it was from Adam to Enoch, then to Noah, then to Abraham, then to Jacob, the father of the 12 tribes. They are fully blooded Egyptians if not that God has ensured that there was no mixture. So, God told this story to Moses. The Hebrews had lived in Egypt for a while—430 years. But to bring them out, they needed a history of themselves.

    The Biblical Creation

Back to the Creation. Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Many people would tell you that there was a beginning before the beginning. You may be like, that doesn’t concern me. Verse 2 says, “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” Some will say there are billions of years between verse 1 and verse 2.

If you trace from the creation of Adam till date, you only have 6,000 years. Science used rocks and fossils and decay components to determine the age of the earth. Science used what is called the radiometric dating system to discover that this earth is not less than 6 billion years. When that is presented to you, how do you respond? You may not have the best answer, but you shouldn’t be hearing it for the first time at least.

We treated this in one of our KBI courses as well: Foundation of New Converts – FSC. Back to those that said there was a gap between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. This is called the Gap Theory. Their major argument was that in verse 1, the Bible says God created the heaven and the earth, and by verse 2, it was already without form and void. They said between verse 1 and verse 2 are billions of years. They say it was when Lucifer rebelled that threw the earth into commotion, that God flooded everything, which was why it was void and formless. Some believed that there used to be men, kingdoms, and nations on Earth.

    Analyzing the Gap Theory

So, you may want to ask, Pastor Ife, what do you say? I have also heard a pastor who said the men on earth that time did not die. They became demons. Of all other things people say, this one is largely untrue. I believe there was a creation before the creation. At least, God made angels before He made the Earth. We also know Lucifer had sinned before that time. I agree with this. What I don’t agree with is that there’s a gap between Genesis 1:1 and verse 2.

Let’s check Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 again because that is where all those theories rest upon. It is a writing skill. Genesis 1:1 is just like a summary; then from verse 2, the writer began to state the details. The movie industry does it too. They show you the end before the beginning. Isn’t it?

If you see the Old Testament, the book of Kings and Chronicles especially, they will tell you “XXX reigned 17 years and did evil.” Then, they will begin to break it down.

1 Kings 14:21 says, “And Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem.”

It was the same method that was adopted in Genesis 1:27 where the Bible says, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Some have asked, did God make men twice? Then in Chapter 2:7, God began to tell us how man was formed. It’s not so. Some have said God made some people in Genesis 1:27 then made Adam in 2:7.

Have you watched a movie and you are asking what later happened to a particular actor? But because that’s not the main actor, they just forgot about him. What later happened to Ishmael, the first son of Abraham, we don’t know and the Bible doesn’t care so much except for a few other references, but we even know the name of the wife of Isaac and the names of his sons.

The history part of the Bible was meant to detail those concerned and just mention or summarize others. Moses was listing day 1 to day 6 in chapter one, but because the focus was man, he began to write about how man was made in Genesis 2:7. The heaven God was talking about here is not the third heaven where we have the throne of God. When the Bible says in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, God and His angels were already existing.Take note: the heaven here is the sky, the firmament, the stars, the planets in our solar system. That’s basic storytelling skill. Genesis 1:8 says, “And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.” Then God went back to the firmament on the fourth day to put lights in their places and set up the solar system. The earth was made on the third day. The firmament was made on the second day.

Some have argued that when God said He made a thing in a day, it’s referring to millions of years. They said that to try and convince science. But we don’t have to convince science. Genesis 1:14-19:

“And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.”

There may be an element of truth in what they claim as the age of the earth. And there could be something missing from their explanation. Whatever answer we try to give, it must not be that we are rewriting the Scriptures. Because if we just believe science, then we will believe evolution, that man was once an ape.

So, I have established that there was no gap between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. There was no omission. What did you notice? The third thing I should call your attention to is the word replenish. In archaic English, to replenish means to fill, while in modern English, it means to fill again.

Genesis 1:28 says, “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” The argument is that for the Bible to say replenish, it means repair or so. Also, the word heaven and earth did not mean that heaven remained perfect after verse one but earth was a mess, and God recreated it.

I don’t want us to start on the fall of man today because we can’t cover it. But in all your thoughts, know that we learn these things so that we won’t be naive or easily swayed. The Old King James used the archaic word.

We should also not forget the purpose of the creation story: to give us an identity, to show Israel is different, and to showcase Jesus. We will realize that Adam chose to eat the forbidden fruit for the sake of his wife, just as Jesus became sin for us willingly. We will see that on Thursday.

I hope you are blessed tonight and it wasn’t a waste of time?

  • DREAM, THE FALLEN MAN & THE SPIRIT MAN 2 : Pst. Ife Adetona

DREAM, THE FALLEN MAN & THE SPIRIT MAN 2 : Pst. Ife Adetona

It’s common for people to rely heavily on dreams, but after tonight’s teaching, I hope you’ll seek a deeper, more direct connection with God.

Key Point from part 1 of this Study

If You Don’t Dream, It’s Okay

    – Not everyone dreams frequently, and that’s perfectly normal. God primarily wants to communicate through His Spirit.

If You Do Dream, Consider These Points:

    1. Dreams as Products of the Mind

    – Dreams often stem from our fears, worries, and anxieties.
    – For example, dreaming about needing to urinate is a reflection of a physical need, showing that dreams can be rooted in our real-life experiences stored in our minds.
    – Excessive worry can attract demons, leading to afflictions in dreams. Recognize that terrifying dreams are not from God; they are a form of torment from the devil.

    2. Stand on the Word

    – If a dream isn’t good, align yourself with God’s word. Matthew 12:37 emphasizes that we are justified by our words, not our dreams.
    – If a dream induces fear, reject it and stand firm on God’s promises. God’s communication brings peace, not terror (Psalm 85:8).

    3. Discard Nonsense Dreams

    – Dreams that don’t make sense or have no clear meaning should be discarded. They are often just the mind’s random activity.

    4. Filter Long Dreams

    – If a dream is excessively long and convoluted, retain only the parts that make sense and discard the rest. Like eating fish, keep the meat and discard the scales.

    5. Forget Unremembered Dreams

    – If you wake up and can’t remember a dream, let it go. It was likely not important.

    6. Beware of Manipulation

    – The devil can manipulate dreams if he sees you depend heavily on them. Be vigilant and seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

    7. Understanding the Role of Dreams

    – Not all dreams are from God. Heavy reliance on dreams can lead to deception. Instead, seek to be led by the Spirit in all things.

    8. Transition to Visions and Revelations

    – Those who dream a lot should seek spiritual growth to transition to receiving visions and revelations from God.

    Practical Steps for Vision

    1. Cultivate Spiritual Vision

    – Every believer can see visions. Pray in tongues for 30 minutes over specific matters to open yourself to spiritual insights.
    – For example, pray for 30 minutes concerning a particular situation or person and note any visions or impressions you receive.
    – Like, pray in tongues for 30 minutes with the desire to see something concerning MAS 2024. Whatever you see, note it, and discuss it with a spiritual leader.

    2. Desire Spiritual Awareness

    – When in new environments or meeting new people, ask God to reveal spiritual insights about them. This practice enhances your spiritual sensitivity.
    – For instance, when you enter a new house, ask God to show you something about the place. This can reveal hidden spiritual realities, such as recognizing a demonic presence.

I pray that from tonight, your spiritual sight is blessed. Your nights will be filled with sound sleep and divine revelations, free from torment and horror. If you dream at all, may they be meaningful and from God. Use the power of your words to reject any tormenting dreams and discard them as spiritual spam. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • DREAM, THE FALLEN MAN & THE SPIRIT MAN 1 – Pst. Ife ADETONA

DREAM, THE FALLEN MAN & THE SPIRIT MAN 1 – Pst. Ife ADETONA

Tonight’s Bible study focuses on Dreams, the Fallen Man, and the Spirit Man. We’ll examine dreams from a new perspective, seeking to understand their role and significance for both the fallen man and the spirit man, as revealed in Scripture.

    Man: Spirit and Soul

    1. Creation of Man:

    – Genesis 1:27 states that God created man in His own image, which means man was originally a spirit because God is Spirit (John 4:24).
    – Genesis 2:7 describes how God formed man’s body from the dust and breathed life into him, making man a living soul. The Hebrew word *rûach* and the Greek word *pneuma* both mean spirit, breath, and wind.

    2. Tripartite Nature of Man

    – Man is a spirit that has a soul and lives in a body. The soul cts as an intermediary between the spirit and the body.
    – At the fall, man’s spirit became dead, and man became more of a “soulish” being, living through his soul and body rather than his spirit.

    The Role of Dreams

    1. Dreams in a Fallen World:

    – After the fall, direct communication with God was hindered, leading to alternative methods such as dreams.
    – Numbers 12:4-8 reveals that God often communicated with prophets through dreams and visions, but this was not His ideal method of communication.
    – Romans 8:14 emphasizes that true sons of God are led by His Spirit, not merely by dreams.

    2. Dreams and Unbelievers:

    – Dreams are common among both believers and unbelievers. However, the spiritual significance and manipulation of dreams can differ.
    – Unbelievers might experience dreams that lead to various forms of manipulation and deception by the devil.

    The Essence of This Teaching

    1. It is OKAY if you don’t dream:

    – There’s nothing wrong with you if you don’t dream often. The real concern is whether you are led by the Spirit of God. If you can’t hear God or see visions, seek spiritual growth.

    2. Dreams are mainly for the dead man:

    – Unbelievers, who are spiritually dead, often experience dreams. When you become born again, your spirit comes alive, and God desires to communicate with you through His Spirit.

    3. Dreams are mainly in the soul realm, not the spirit realm:

    – Dreams occur in the soulish realm and are not the primary way God communicates with His children. Visions and revelations are more direct ways God speaks to believers.

    4. Don’t be like Joseph, who was not born again:

    – While Joseph had significant dreams, he was not born again. Our goal should be to be like Jesus, who did not rely on dreams but had direct communication with God.

    5. If your major leadings in life always come through dreams, something is wrong with your growth:

    – Mature believers should seek to be led by the Spirit of God. Heavy reliance on dreams for guidance can indicate a lack of spiritual growth and maturity.

    6. Dreams are always manipulated by the devil:

    – The devil can manipulate dreams to induce fear, confusion, and deception. Recognize and rebuke dreams that do not align with God’s peace and truth.

    7. Watch those whose dreams always come to pass; it’s often evil dreams:

    – Be cautious of those who claim their dreams always come to pass, especially if those dreams are consistently negative or fear-inducing. Such patterns can indicate demonic influence.

    8. Most people who get afflicted, get it through dreams:

    – Many afflictions and spiritual attacks can come through dreams. It’s essential to pray against and break any negative influences or afflictions that manifest through dreams.

    Practical Implications

    1. Understanding Dreams:

    – It’s okay if you do not dream often; what matters is being led by the Spirit of God. Evaluate the nature and source of your dreams, especially if they consistently bring fear or negative outcomes.

    2. Spiritual Warfare:

    – Be vigilant against demonic manipulations in dreams. Engage in prayer and seek spiritual guidance if afflictions or fears arise from dreams. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us of the spiritual battle we face.

    3. God’s Communication:

    – God desires to communicate with us directly through His Spirit. Cultivate a deeper relationship with God to hear His voice more clearly. Encourage others to seek spiritual growth and discernment to navigate dreams and spiritual experiences effectively.

    Conclusion

Dreams can play a role in God’s communication with man, but they are not the primary method God desires for His people. By focusing on being led by the Spirit, Christians can grow in maturity and avoid the pitfalls of relying too heavily on dreams. Let us seek to deepen our relationship with God and be led by His Spirit in all things.

  • OVERCOMING ADDICTION 2 : Pst. Ife ADETONA

OVERCOMING ADDICTION 2 : Pst. Ife ADETONA

Tonight, let’s talk about EDITING YOUR CIRCLE. You know I said my emphasis would be on sexual addictions. Look around you, your circle of close or distant friends—are they more spiritual than you? The Bible says EVIL COMMUNICATION CORRUPTS GOOD MANNERS. Those whose status you often see, do they say things that turn you on? Those you follow on Facebook and other social media, do they edify? What kind of songs do they sing? What kind of jokes and comedy skits do they upload?

If you don’t have a boyfriend, you shouldn’t have a friend that has a boyfriend or a friend that has a friend that has a boyfriend. Listen to me—if you are not “RAZ” (meaning something specific), you shouldn’t have a friend that has a friend that is “raz”. That’s my lifestyle. That’s why I’m here. As a lady, if someone asked you out, you said NO but you’re still friends—WHAT KIND OF FRIENDSHIP? You are digging a pit. Human beings are IMITATING CREATURES. We imitate a lot. That’s why the music you hear in the car keeps banging in your head. I don’t listen to worldly music. I don’t have a friend that listens to worldly music. I don’t have a friend that has a friend that listens to worldly music.

That’s why you’re feeling like changing your haircut. It’s because that’s what you see every day. If I notice that nude or semi-nude pictures come to my TL through you, I am blocking you. I have blocked and muted so many people on social media. So, it’s not just about changing your friends but changing your entire circle. There was a movie page I used to follow. I didn’t want to mute or block them because of the advantage of the movie that I’m getting from them, but it was becoming too much. I follow it because I take screenshots of the movies which I can see later on. One day, I discovered that they are sharing nude movies.

1 Corinthians 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. I decided to mute them. I want to see if I will die if I mute them for one month. After one month, I realized I didn’t die. You may not know but your friends are the reason you fornicate. If you don’t change your friends, if you don’t change your circle, you cannot break an addiction. They are the reason you masturbate as well. Okay, if I check your status, what will I find? Imagine checking my status, what will you find? The music they play, the jokes they crack, the habits they have, the friends they keep, and so on. Imagine me sharing a challenge with a song under it. Imagine me sharing a comedy with breasts out of the clothes and I say it’s just a comedy. You know it cannot happen. But you do it. You keep friends that do it. And you want to break addiction? NO!

There’s usually one person that draws you into that sin. There is that person that makes it impossible for you to resist.

    2. REMOVE THAT PERSON FROM YOUR SPACE. It could be fornication or otherwise. Ecclesiastes 11:10 Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: Stop trying to resist, cast them away! Get rid of that girl, get rid of that boy, and you will become pure.

No. 3: Get an accountability partner.

You know I talked about record-keeping yesterday, like marking the calendar. Get someone that can monitor it. Their work is not actually to scold or judge or caution you, their work is to monitor your progress. Even if you fail, still report it. In fact, if you know you have to report again and you will truly report, by all means, you will stay conscious. Once you know that another person is seeing your progress, it helps you to do better. Once you keep reporting it, it will stop. As you run away from a bad friend, run into a good circle.

    4.Get into the word environment

. Stay where you can have someone that will upload or write a biblical post. Somewhere that will draw you back, someone that will say something about sin. These are the kinds of people you should be friends with. 1 Timothy 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

Receive help in Jesus Name. These points are simple but they are all you need!
