  • HOW TO START A BUSINESS – Pst. Ife ADETONA

HOW TO START A BUSINESS – Pst. Ife ADETONA

Let me start by emphasizing that everyone, as an entrepreneur, has something to sell or a particular service to render.

I often joke that while you buy shoes, bags, clothes, phones, and recharge cards, among other things, have you ever stopped to think about what YOU are selling?

Our topic today is “What to Sell,” and it’s important to consider how you can transition from being a perpetual buyer to becoming a seller.

Even SADOZ is selling something through KBI (Koinonia Bible Institute). It’s clear that there are only two kinds of people in the world: those who sell and those they sell to.

To make money, you need to be in the first category. And please, don’t label yourself as just a salary earner. Those who sell and make money are the ones who can afford to pay salaries. You too can choose to be an employer.

So, how do you determine what to sell or focus on?

    1. Start by asking yourself this question:

If you were only permitted to do or sell one thing, what would it be? Consider all your interests and the things on your mind, and then choose one business or venture that you would prioritize.

Another approach is to monetize your passion. Is there something you can effortlessly do? Something you enjoy doing even when tired? Perhaps you even offer your services for free without hesitation. Why not monetize that?

For instance, there’s a young man I know who loves fixing electrical issues, despite not studying it in university. Whenever there’s an electrical fault in the house, we’d rather wait for him to return than hire anyone else. He puts in hard work and sweats profusely, but he considers it an opportunity to gain more experience. That’s passion. When deciding what to sell or what service to offer, consider what you find easy and enjoyable.

    2. Monetize your skills.

Skills can be acquired consciously or unconsciously, in formal or semi-formal settings. Some people are fortunate to gain skills through their environment or their parents’ occupation. Any of these skills can be monetized. Personally, I learned about printing because my father is a printer. Although I didn’t directly monetize that skill, it opened doors in the publishing aspect of our ministry. Understanding the processes involved allows me to maneuver the market to our advantage, reducing costs for our printed materials. Today, we have 76 books in print, a remarkable achievement for our relatively young ministry.

    3.Knowledge products can be monetized.

When you read a book or participate in courses like those offered at The Koinonia Bible Institute, you are engaging with knowledge products. This sector is one of the most lucrative and profitable businesses. Many authors have passed away, yet their books continue to inspire generations. You can write about what you know or record your knowledge to create products for others to purchase. There are countless individuals earning in dollars on platforms like YouTube and Facebook, blogging, and creating content related to knowledge products. Akin Alabi, a Nigerian businessman and politician, built his career by researching and compiling knowledge about various business strategies into journals and handouts, which he sells directly to those in need. This is similar to what’s done in affiliate marketing.

    4.Create a need.

Sometimes, people are unaware of a need until someone presents them with a solution. For example, the selfie stick wasn’t deemed necessary until someone invented it, and people realized its utility. Similarly, the idea of a desktop charger emerged when people began watching movies on their mobile phones and needed a convenient way to prop them up. Social media platforms like Facebook were non-existent until they were created, revealing needs that people didn’t even know they had. You may discover that people thirst for something only when it is made available to them.

    5.Monetize privileged information.

Some individuals possess valuable information about certain investment opportunities, allowing them to capitalize on advantageous moments. For instance, during the emergence of COVID-19, people who were aware of the scarcity of facemasks and hand sanitizers were able to profit from selling them.

In conclusion, we all have something we can sell, whether it’s knowledge, a skill, a service, or a product. It’s about finding something valuable to offer and exchanging it for money. However, it’s crucial to avoid a hustling mindset and instead adopt the mindset of a focused business owner. Not every opportunity is worth pursuing, so be selective.

  • DEMONIZING NON-DENOMINATIONS – Pst. Ife ADETONA

DEMONIZING NON-DENOMINATIONS – Pst. Ife ADETONA

It is a trend to see denominational pastors take an aggressive stand against non-denominational ministries. Their reason: “They always end up as a denominational church”. Yes, non-denominations mostly ended up as a church but is there any church in Nigeria that did not start as a non-denominational ministry? Point to one. From CAC to RCCG, to Deeper Life, to MFM, to WINNERS and so on. It is always a “group of people from different churches meeting together to pray and study the word”. Your Pentecostal or charismatic church is either a breakout from a Church or a non-denominational turned Church. This is not only in Nigeria but across the world. The oldest Pentecostal church in the world- Church of God in Christ, America gave birth to Assemblies of God and Foursquare Church. If we begin to trace the history of Orthodox Churches, they are all dissents from the Catholic Church. If we trace the history of the Catholic Church, it was an (“interdenominational”) church that united different groups of “denominations together”.

If you will ask me, I will say THERE IS NOTHING BAD IN A NON-DENOMINATIONAL MINISTRY becoming a church. In fact, it is the MOST EFFECTIVE METHOD in birthing a church. Winners stayed non-denomination for 3 years before birthing forth as a church.

A church is effectively conceived as a non-denominational and then delivered as a denominational assembly.

Non-denominational leaders always start out condemning some things in their mother church and later become a church. Only for their members to also condemn some things and start a system to correct the errors and then become a church too. The cycle goes on

However, there are interdenominational ministries that never became a church and they have been around for decades. Scripture Union (Nigeria) is here for over 150 years. CAET is also here. SADOZ is here.

I believe some pastors are just being insecure. You need to put a structure in place such that NO ONE CAN BREAK YOUR CHURCH. SADOZ is not a church but as a ministry, NO ONE, I REPEAT, NO MAN can tear away SADOZ. By God’s wisdom, we have set up structures to prevent that. In our 9 years, I have ordained at least 3 sons in the house who have gone out to start their own ministry. They were openly ordained and discharged, there was no tearing. Aside from those three, several others have, from here gone out to form their own ministries. Yet, no breaking or crack.

Are there excessive from young people wanting to pioneer a work? A LOT! We all demonstrated one excess or the other and it won’t stop. It is churches and pastors that should put structures in place because whether you like it or not, PEOPLE WILL LEAVE your ministry to start a new work.

  • On the “Aboru! Aboye!” talk- Pst. Ife ADETONA

On the “Aboru! Aboye!” talk- Pst. Ife ADETONA

    Aboru! Aboye! Abose!
There is something called “register” in the English language. “Asalamwalekun” is a register in the Islamic religion, “Aboru” is a register to the Ifa religion, “Praise God” is a register in Christianity. An Islamic cleric will not stand before his congregants and shout “PRAISE GOD”. Then begins to explain that God is an English word for Allah.

There’s something called a strange fire. Two sons of Aaron lost their lives because of it. Strange fire is when you introduce a foreign concept used for worship in a pagan religion to the worship of the Almighty God.

This is something a new convert wouldn’t even do but I am surprised that some of you ” grown-ups” are ignorant of it. In a religion, words are deep. It’s not just about “it is a Yoruba language”. They are occultic coded words of the initiate. It has been said that Aboru, Aboye and Abose are the actual names of deities in the Ifa religion. You don’t even have to know the story or context before discretion is applied.

This is not about the singer. I don’t have any issues with her. As of today, she is still one of my most regarded Yoruba gospel music composers. I don’t correct or talk to anyone that will not even hear what I have to say. But I have a duty to the body of Christ, to you! So that you won’t be swayed. The Bible says if we judge ourselves as a Church, outsiders will not judge us. Before we begin to hear “cappo”,
” yemoja”, “aluta”, and ” saluanabirikareem” on the altar.

FOR EMPHASIS, “aboru” is a word that should never be said in Christian worship. Just like a Christian gospel minister should not share a podium with a Muslim worshipper as we saw some time ago.

Second, when you are corrected, listen don’t continue to argue or defend. You don’t have to understand or be convinced. A leadership position is highly tricky. You’d be slipping without knowing because you can only be corrected once. If you disagree everybody around you will keep saying “Yes ma”.

  • “….those that criticised prophets whose predictions failed in the last elections seem to be happy doing so ” – Pst. Ife ADETONA

“….those that criticised prophets whose predictions failed in the last elections seem to be happy doing so ” – Pst. Ife ADETONA

Some of the believers that criticised prophets whose predictions failed in the last elections seem to be happy doing so. I feel it’s because they don’t operate in the prophetic office and they are jealous too.

They quickly compare today’s prophets with the Old Testament prophets. What they don’t know is that the OT prophets related more “naturally” thus the 100% accuracy, 100% of the time. They saw as if they were seeing with their natural eyes. They heard as if a man was talking to a man. They were given both the word and the interpretation.

Today’s prophets approach by faith. It comes more naturally to some than to some. It comes more naturally at some times than at some times. Many times, you will be shown and given the vision but you are left to interpret it.

    Why is it like that?
God doesn’t want us to be like Prophet Isaiah or Ezekiel but like Adam before his fall who KNEW the names of all the animals without being told or shown in a vision.

I am not saying those who missed it do not have any fault. But we should cut them some slack and stop talking down on the whole ministry or discouraging them most especially younger ones all in the name of “correcting”.

Let me show you where the mistake was. There is no true prophet in the land including those who missed their predictions that didn’t know at the first time that Tinubu would become president. Listen to me carefully. In many cases, it was out of INTERCESSION- “Lord, no this can’t be” and their desire to see another person on the throne that led to a sort of “PERMISSIVE prophecy”. The Bible says when desire or wish becomes strong (lust), it can mislead (James 1:15)

You pray for someone who is dying, you knew immediately in your spirit “he would die”. You began to groan and say “NO”. Soonest, you heard the relief which you interpreted as “he won’t die”. You announced to everyone. They felt relieved, but the person eventually die. Then, they turned to you and call you a fake pastor. If you have pastored for at least 10 years, you would relate to this example that I just gave. You insisted the person won’t die because you wish that the death be reverted and nothing is impossible.

Here’s the lesson to prophets: Accuracy is separating your DESIRE from your PROPHECY. If you receive a negative word at first and you later got a positive word, don’t say THE LORD TOLD ME. Just say: I DECLARE or I DECREE. Do not DESIRE to hear God over a matter when you won’t let go of your WISH else, you get a leading according to the idol of your heart.

To those criticising, I am saying this for the 1000th time: If you have never missed a prediction, it is because you have never made a prediction. If you are 100% accurate, you never operated in this office. I can even show you the mistake of Prophet Agabus in his interpretation of his vision from the book of Acts. I will also show you a place where Paul said his prediction would fail if some actions were not quickly taken.

  • FUNDRAISING FOR PROJECTS – Pst. Ife ADETONA

FUNDRAISING FOR PROJECTS – Pst. Ife ADETONA

If you have to do crowd-funding or fundraising for a project in your ministry, believe me, YOU DON’T NEED THAT THING.

    Pastor Ife, break it down.

If You want to buy a gadget or construct a temple for instance and you have to share the ministry’s or personal account details all over social media for people to donate THEN YOUR MINISTRY DOES NOT NEED THAT STRUCTURE. You can put such information out on the ministry’s website, handles, programme, and forum but when it becomes what you share to your personal status or handle and members even broadcast it on their status, it means your MINISTRY DOES NOT HAVE the financial capacity for that thing and so, you retorted to public fundraising. It is either God never sent you or you don’t need that thing or you have failed to build your ministry’s financial capacity.

Why will you want to do a village crusade and be raising funds in the public, who send you? What about HOUSE TO HOUSE evangelism in that village?Ministry is way different from charity.
That some people do it does not make it right.
And that you are able to gather money doesn’t mean the finger of God is in it.
The end will eventually justify the means.
No matter who does a wrong thing, it doesn’t make it right. It is no different from sharing envelopes with members for donation. It is no different from the Almajiri boys that carry plates around for money to build their temples. The evil part is that nothing much comes from these things. And it cannot last you for long.

Besides the fact that it is unethical, it also does not make economic sense to get what you cannot afford at all costs.I know a church who took a loan to perfect their structure. In all indication, that ministry did not need that large seater capacity. They can build something portable and beautiful with what they have.

I am saying this because of my children in the faith who are pastors. I see you beg for different funny things. If you don’t have a carpet at your meeting place, it’s because you don’t need it.I know people get loans from banks to buy things for their church. They will be rattled when they get to heaven and God tells them: WHO SEND YOU?

You may want to ask if it is wrong to give towards such things- when a ministry sort funds from the public. The method may be wrong, your giving is not wrong.

  • SEED SOWING – Pst. Ife ADETONA

SEED SOWING – Pst. Ife ADETONA

When a child of God desires a breakthrough and sows a seed towards it. Be it marital, financial, healing, academic or what have you; they will receive their desired expectations and in addition, get back what they gave in money or material in multiple folds.Your sacrifice is a proof of your love and faith. In response, God would refund what you gave together with your testimony because a child of God is not expected to pay for anything. Christ has freely given us all things. This is where many missed it. Some thought that were paying for a miracle while some have refused to sow so as not to appear as if they are buying or bribing God.Abraham gave his son, God returned the son with more sons together with material blessings. When we were trusting God for the fruit of the womb, we sow again and again, every year we waited towards it. My wife nearly sow me at a time (lol). When EriIfeoluwa came, God multiplied our seed sown and rained it down on us (still raining).

“Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;).” 2Corinthians 9:10.

    Bread- your expectations for sowing.
Multiplication of seed sown- a return of what you gave
Fruit of righteousness- your love & faith (Christian virtues)God would not eat Isaac or Solomon’s burnt offering.
He won’t spend your money or use the gold you give.

“Though I appreciate your gifts, what makes me happiest is the well-earned reward you will have because of your kindness”. Philippians 4:17 TLB

  • MOCKING THE DEVIL – Pst. Ife ADETONA

MOCKING THE DEVIL – Pst. Ife ADETONA

Writing to the Ephesians, Paul said he was excited about their salvation. But then, he has one major prayer for them. That seems like you becoming an American citizen and your uncle writing to congratulate you. And then, trying hard to explain to you the privileges you have as an American citizen. For instance, you won’t have issues getting a visa into any other country of the world. But if you don’t realize that, you won’t be excited about your new status. You will think that it is just an additional certificate. This my same prayer for YOU tonight and for every other person! It is so important that you know and realize what God has done in your life that Paul prayed for the 7-fold spirit of God.

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. Verse 16

May you have the spirit of wisdom tonight! May you be imparted with the spirit of knowledge! The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.May you also have the spirit of UNDERSTANDING! But why all this prayers? On top what? So that you may KNOW that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. That you may know THE HOPE, THE RICHES, THE INHERITANCE. Kai! I pray that you will KNOW tonight.

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.

That you may know THE HOPE, THE RICHES, THE INHERITANCE +The POWER. An exceeding great power according to His mighty power. You will know it and have it experienced through your life. I come to this understanding around the year 2015. You have to be taught to know. And you have to know to live in it!

How when did we come by these great things? Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places. That’s v20.

These things happened when Christ was raised from the dead. And when Christ was set on God’s right hand! It happened when you gave your life to JESUS CHRIST and accepted Him as your Lord and Saviour. And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all. When JESUS was raised from the dead, He was seated at the Father’s right hand in heavenly places. He has authority over all things. He becomes the HEAD, the CHURCH becomes His body, and all things came under His feet! Do you get it?If I put my fan on a table, the table is under the FEET of my fan! If you become a CHRISTIAN (an American citizen), you become a part of that body, the devil is under you. Some pastors will tell you, THE PROBLEM OF YOUR LIFE DO NOT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH. The devil tormenting you may not understand English but it understands the Bible. The Bible says ALL THINGS are under your feet. Paul was praying for you to understand this, but someone is somewhere telling you that the devil is above you. Choose the person you want to believe.Look at me! πŸ‘οΈ I have been a pastor actively for 11 years, and I have not received any arrow. No devil has bewitched me, and no human has sent incantations after me. I have preached in the village and in the jungle, reaching out to both the old and the young. I have delivered the possessed and healed the sick, all to the glory of God. Yet, no devil has come near me. You know why? They can’t, and they know that I know that they can’t.When I didn’t have my driver’s license, I used to pray before leaving home that no FRSC or Police should stop me. But when I got my license, I removed it from my prayer list. Praying that no devil should harm me is out of my prayer list too because they can’t harm me, and they know that I know that they can’t. No road safety officer can detain me on account of a driver’s license. They can wave at me to stop, but I can show them my license. That’s the problem many have. You experience a bad incident, and you say, “The devil has come again.” Then, you start crying. Why not show the devil your license? Imagine my wife driving and calling me that the police stopped her and wanted to detain her. I told her to show them the papers, but she started crying. Crying for what? She is my wife, and she will suffer for nothing, but I will be angry at her for not acting up. That’s how God is looking at some of you.I ate food, and a thought said, “You know the food may be poisonous.” I replied, “I have eaten it already. Whatever I touch is blessed!” That was the end. I had a chest pain, and I started drinking more water, declaring my health. The chest pain was gone. Stand up and act.I didn’t say you should not fight the powers in your father’s house or the ones in your foundation, but be smart. You can use either a stick and say, “Fall down and die,” or use a sniper. The reason you keep fighting every day is that you are using a stick. You hit them, they fall, and they rise again. But with a sniper, you can be killing them and eating snacks while doing so. I love that!

Ephesians 2:6 says, “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”

He has raised you up together with Christ and made you sit beside Christ in the heavenly places. Let me show you something. Where are the heavenly places? It is a spiritual realm, not a physical realm. The powers you are fighting, in which realm are they? In that realm, you are above, and they are below. Can somebody sitting downstairs spit saliva to someone living upstairs? The devil showed you a yeye film in your dream, and you believed it. You started getting jittery over a dream. If the devil can kill you, will he show you a dream and let you wake up? Is he nice? He only wanted to attack you with fear.John 3:31 says, “He that cometh from above is above all.” Where do you come from? Psalm 2 asks, “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?” Why does the devil get angry over your life? Why are they imagining vain things in their dreamland? They come together to plan against you. “Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us,” they say. They planned to destroy you. What would be your response?”But he that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh.” Imagine all the cockroaches in your house holding a meeting against you. You will laugh and use one hand to scatter all of them in their committee. That’s what the Bible means when it says you will have them in derision. How can you mock the devil in your life?Understand these things.
    Understand it very well.
If the devil waves at you through fears, dreams, and symptoms, show your ID. What is your ID? It’s what the Word says about you.

  • FORMING A BIBLE READING HABIT – Pst. Damsam

FORMING A BIBLE READING HABIT – Pst. Damsam

I received an inspiration on how to overcome boredom while reading the Bible and to make the Bible something that you will be eager to read every day some years ago. I have a sketch of it in my article titled “BIBLE READING CATALYST,” and I later wrote a book on it titled “MY BIBLE, MY FRIEND.” The testimonies I’ve received personally from this article and book were just amazing. I give thanks to God for using this tool as a great instrument of revival in the body of Christ. The book is priced at #3,000/$5 but will be available for #1000/$3 in the next 24 hours. Get your copy from the foundation publisher via http://wa.me/2348106522911.

However, I’ve seen a lot of people who just received the information, practiced it for a while, and dropped it. That made the Holy Spirit give me another inspiration on how people can go beyond knowing the style I taught but create Bible reading as a habit. And that is what I will be teaching you in this article. The Holy Spirit helped me discover that people love to listen to audio rather than read a book, and this is the first challenge many people are having with the Bible. When I discovered this truth, He then called my attention to the Audio Bible.

    FACTS ABOUT AUDIO BIBLE

Let me highlight some facts about the Audio Bible for you:

    1. Audio Bibles are recordings of the Bible, typically narrated by professional voice actors or speakers. They allow people to listen to the Scriptures being read aloud instead of reading them from a printed text.

    2. The first audio Bibles were produced in the early 1950s, initially using vinyl records and later transitioning to cassette tapes and CDs. With advancements in technology, they are now widely available as digital downloads, streaming services, and smartphone applications.

    3. Audio Bibles are available in various translations, allowing individuals to choose the version that best suits their preference or understanding. Popular translations include the King James Version (KJV), New International Version (NIV), English Standard Version (ESV), and many others.

    4. The purpose of audio Bibles is to make the Bible accessible to people who may have difficulty reading or have visual impairments. They also cater to those who prefer auditory learning or simply enjoy listening to the Scriptures.

    5. Audio Bibles often include additional features such as background music, sound effects, and dramatic performances to enhance the listening experience and bring the text to life.

    6. Some audio Bibles provide accompanying study materials, commentary, or devotional content to help listeners understand and engage with the biblical text on a deeper level.

7.Audio Bibles are commonly used by individuals during personal devotions, as well as by churches and religious organizations for group study, worship services, and outreach programs.

    8. The popularity of audio Bibles has increased with the rise of smartphones and digital platforms. Many apps and websites offer free or paid audio Bible versions, making them easily accessible to a wider audience.

    9. Audio Bibles can be found in multiple languages, making them valuable resources for individuals who want to hear the Bible in their native tongue or study different translations for cross-cultural understanding.

    10. The best I can recommend for you is Naijasermon Audio Bible. All you need is just your data, and you can download a whole book of the Bible with just a click. You can also download it in piecemeal. Visit the site with just a click: https://naijasermons.com.ng/audio-bible/.

HOW TO CULTIVATE A HABIT WITH AUDIO:

    1. Decide to be serious about it.

    2. Start using the acronym principle I stated in the BIBLE READING CATALYST: https://healingnexusblog.com/bible-reading-catalyst/.

    3. Decide to start reading at least 2 chapters per day: 1 chapter in the morning and 1 at night before sleeping.

    4. Have an accountable partner who can follow up on your decision and question you when you miss any day.

    5. Set a 30-day habit tracker for yourself and mark it twice daily. Example:

    30-DAY BIBLE READING HABIT TRACKER

    1.βœ…βœ…
    2.βœ…βœ…
    3.βŒβœ…
    4.βœ…βŒ
5.❌❌……❌ means you missed the number of chapters you planned to read for that period (day or night).
    βœ… means you observed it.

    TAKE NOTE:

    1. While playing the audio, open your Bible and read along with the audio. Don’t play the audio and be doing something else (you can do that at another time, but for this habit-tracking moment, you MUST open your Bible with it. An example is attached hereπŸ‘‡πŸΌπŸ‘‡πŸΌπŸ‘‡πŸΌπŸ‘‡πŸΌπŸ‘‡πŸΌ

    2. Open your heart as you read.

    3. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you before you start the exercise.

    4. Take out some time to meditate after listening and reading.

    5. Ensure there are no distractions around you when you are embarking on this exercise.

May the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you.

  • Having bad dreams? Read this !!!

Having bad dreams? Read this !!!

The dream you have is not the battle. Your reaction to it is the battle. That is where Winner/Loser is determined.

So, when you eat in your dream and even found meat in your teeth. Or you have a sex dream and even wet your bed. You have not lost or won the battle. When you wake up is when the battle starts.

What is your reaction after you wake up? Fearful prayers, doubtful utterances, jittery behaviour?

    Or

    Laughter! Decree! Rebuke!

I love to laugh when I had such dreams.

Do you know why? He that is from above is above all (one). I am seated with Christ in heavenly places (two). He that seats πŸ’Ί in heaven shall laugh! asha!

I know someone who was having sex dreams while she was pregnant. She was having a good laugh. Tueh! No miscarriage! Her labour was brief! She gave birth to a bouncing baby boy! Devil knows that she knows that Devil was playing.

    Where are you seated?
