Welcome to the Christocentric Series once again. ๐ค๐ค
We are still on the story of the Israelites,Good, Better , Best.
it is a fool that will prefer better to good, and best to better
I said in my book FORTIFIED HEALTH that, it is a fool that will prefer better to good, and best to better. And this foolishness is displayed in the lives of the Israelites. There is the promised Land which is their Best place to be, and there is also the wilderness which is a better place, than when they were in slavery.
The foolishness of the Israelites was displayed by verbalizing the statement that they preferred their yesterday than their today. They preferred the good place than the better place, and they preferred to be in slavery where they were being tortured, maltreated, and fed with bread of affliction than the wilderness where they have their deliverer Moses with them, and even God Himself walking with them, and catering for their needs.
Exodus 16:1-3
And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.
And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:
And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.
Dear Reader, Check your life.
Are you not a complainer???? ๐ค
Are you not accusing God for what He’s doing presently in you?๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
If you are a complainer, these are what you are saying to God:
1. “God, you are doing a lousy Job”
2. “God, you don’t know what You’re doing”.
3. “God, you should have done more for me”.
4. “God, I can provide better than You can.”
THE MIRACLE OF BREAD
But God in His Mercy still rained Bread for them. And this is where we are going, we want to bring Jesus out๐
Exodus 16:4
Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.
Now, let’s fast forward the movie…
1500 years after, Jesus was referring to this scenario and said He was the bread that fed the Israelites in the wilderness.
John 6:30-35
They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?
Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
God turned Himself to a caterer. Jesus provided a lunch of bread to them.
Stop complaining to God, your complaint is an insult on God’s personality. Eat the bread of life for it is better than a physical provision.
Are you blessed by this?
